Today, I went to Margaux in the morning again. The flower group has become a quality that attracts customers as soon as Margaux is available. I arrived before the opening time, it's hopeless, haha. If you become a member of the Enoteca, you can use a 10% coupon multiple times during your birthday month, so it's a good deal. But if you go to events too often, it can be tough! When asked if I don't order wine snacks, I reply that on this day, I will drink Margaux with Latour and Mouton as snacks. Of course, Latour and Mouton are the main stars, so I think wine is the correct snack. They are from the 2012 series. Latour has a heavy and solid aroma, with a fruity first attack on the palate. The tannins leave a slight lingering sensation on the tongue. There is a hint of leather-like umami in the distance, but it's very mellow. It feels different from Pinot, but it's good in its own way. Mouton Rothschild has a berry aroma. It is overall mellow, with a rounder feel than Margaux. It's well-balanced, with no sharp edges. The acidity, subtle bitterness, and mellow tannins are enjoyable. The aroma is nice. Margaux, our idol, has an elegant aroma. It still has a youthful scent, with lively tannins. There's a tangy acidity and a subtle bitterness. The velvety tannins have a melting texture that is sensuous. After a while, you can enjoy a sweet aroma. Today's Margaux is on the sexy side, maybe? It would be nice if there was a bit more depth of umami, but it's lovely how it suddenly winks back at you when you least expect it. Ah, the delightful aromas! I was mesmerized by the scents for a while. 2012 was of high quality, but the weather conditions were a bit tough. Regarding Margaux, I might prefer 2019 after all. I want to surround myself with it.
