やや大食い
Today, I was planning to eat meat and was walking towards Shin-Nihonbashi. Along the way, I suddenly noticed a new sign and hit the brakes. This was the place where Tempura Saito used to be. The shop has changed. Looking at the outdoor menu, it seems to be a grilled fish restaurant. Hmm, not meat, but my curiosity about the new store won over, so I changed my plan. Upon entering, I found a small shop with mostly counter seating, but it was still empty. The staff, three energetic and polite people, greeted me. As I examined the menu at my seat, they offered 5 types of grilled fish ranging from 1,000 to 1,800 yen. Quite pricey. The Silver Cod marinated in Saikyo Miso for 1,800 yen was on sale for 1,500 yen, which caught my interest a bit. Still, quite a price. It was my first visit and I decided to go with the 1,000 yen grilled mackerel platter with two types. When asked about the rice size, I chose large. There was no explanation about the fish or grilling method, so it was unclear. After a while, it arrived. The plate with two grilled mackerels came with grated radish and pickled daikon. The side dishes were potato salad and simmered dish. The miso soup with radish and seaweed was typical of izakaya-style restaurants. The rice was served in a small bowl, just the way I like it, firm and not too moist. You can have seconds of rice and miso soup. When I asked, they mentioned that they had just opened on January 10th. I tried to find out more, but there was no visible sign with the restaurant name inside. After finishing my meal, I checked the restaurant from the outside and saw "Grilled Fish and Miso Soup" written above the entrance. Was this the name of the restaurant? The dining-out environment is still tough, but as a newly opened restaurant, I hope for its future success. Thank you for the meal.
