I went to Machida Shoten for dinner~. This time I ordered the Soy Sauce MAX Ramen with extra noodles and the Green Onion Char Siu Donburi!! I like my ramen firm and with lots of noodles. The service was super fast, it felt like only 5 minutes had passed. The ramen was delicious as always. I asked for extra oil but it wasn't too heavy, which was good. It was easy to eat. The Green Onion Char Siu Donburi was my first time trying it. Crispy seasoned green onions and chopped char siu. Of course, it was delicious haha. Having quail eggs on top was a nice touch. I enjoyed rolling the char siu with garlic or doubanjiang, or with seaweed. Regular rice is good too, but the Green Onion Char Siu Donburi was also great. Thank you for the meal ===========

I often use this place when I want to eat a lot. While restaurants often have a strong image of thick customer service, this shop is very polite. They even see you off when you leave. The dish had a rich flavor with onions, garlic, and stick-shaped ginger, and it was very delicious.

After finishing the morning volunteering visit in June 2023, feeling moved but needing to prepare for the evening shift, I went home for a quick lunch. I chose Machida Shouten for a late lunch. Despite being a bit heavy for my aging body, I opted for the Miso Ramen priced at 800 yen because I had just sweated a lot. The taste was indeed strong, but it was exactly what my body craved. The cabbage, with its rich flavor, complemented the miso well, and the thick noodles also paired nicely. Alright, I can work hard tonight too! Thank you for the meal.

My favorite shop in the family, Machida Shoten. This time, as always, I ordered the ramen with extra white negi. It's a dish that includes finely chopped char siu marinated in sesame oil, which is addictive. The fried rice is also delicious, but it's a shame that the portion is small even when ordered as a single item.

It's been a while since I visited Machida Shouten. I had the Salt MAX ramen with extra noodles, quail eggs, and rice. I usually like my ramen plain, but even though this one was a bit salty, it was easy to eat with no strong flavors. It was quite delicious. The chopped onions and ginger went well with it. Thank you for the meal.

The staff at Teiin are really polite and wonderful. They always open the door for you and see you off with a "thank you" when you leave. They are not loud, making it easy to enter. The fried rice is delicious and well-prepared, matching the atmosphere of the restaurant. Of course, the ramen is also great, as it is from Machida Shoten, so you can order with confidence! This must be my 10th visit. I often come here when I want a hearty meal at home! Highly recommend it.

Machida Shouten Musashimurayama branch, oh yes! It was delicious. I purchased the Char siu ramen from the ticket vending machine, and ordered it with "strong flavor, extra toppings, normal". The Machida Shouten house-made pork bone soy sauce soup was delicious as always. The medium-thick noodles were perfect. The Char siu was tender and well-seasoned. I added garlic halfway through, making it even better. The staff's service was also excellent. It was truly a delicious meal. Thank you, I will definitely come back again.

I hit a ramen shop in Tokyo, which was the 1193rd place I visited a few days ago, and they didn't offer extra-large size, so my ramen craving was not satisfied. I stopped by Machida Shouten, which is conveniently located on my way home from work. They operate on a pre-purchased ticket system (cash only) and I ordered a regular MAX Ramen for 1000 yen. In the official photos, the ramen comes with a sliced half boiled egg, but in reality, it was a whole egg. This seems to be the case in other stores as well. I wonder why they don't cut it in half. Despite this, the ramen was delicious. It's true that the stress of ramen craving can be bad for the body.

I suddenly felt like eating home-style ramen, so I went to a restaurant to satisfy my craving. I've been there a few times before, but this is my first review. I ordered the MAX Ramen (soy sauce flavor) with firm noodles, extra noodles, quail eggs, and rice. I asked for extra oil in the soup, but it wasn't too heavy. The broth was not too overpowering and easy to eat. It was slightly on the richer side, but delicious. The noodles were cooked perfectly to my liking - firm and slightly shorter, making them easy to slurp. The toppings included 3 slices of pork chashu, 6 sheets of seaweed, a seasoned egg, spinach, and an additional quail egg. The chashu had a good amount of fat and was tender. I wished there was a bit more spinach though. (laughs) Personally, I think the quail egg is a must-have. Adding some chopped ginger and onions from the table condiments made it perfect! Thank you for the meal.

I was driving towards Ome on Shin-Ome Street and suddenly had a craving for ramen. I found this place, Machida Shoten, and decided to give it a try. I knew they served Yokohama-style ramen, but this was my first time here. I arrived just before lunchtime, so it wasn't too crowded. I ordered the classic ramen (750 yen) and it was delicious, with a traditional Yokohama-style taste. The staff was great and even saw me off when I left. I definitely want to come back again.

Yokohama-style ramen restaurant in Musashimurayama! I stopped by on my way back from Inmall in Musashimurayama. There are counter seats, but there were more table seats, which seems to be a local preference. I ordered using a food ticket, and requested a stronger flavor. I like to add lots of chopped onions to the hot soup and eat it my way! The chashu was well-seasoned, tender, and juicy. The seasoned egg was also delicious with a flavorful taste throughout. The soup had a classic Yokohama-style taste, which was satisfying!

Lunch on March 17, 2022 (Thursday). Due to the earthquake last night, over 2.23 million households, including Tokyo, experienced power outages. The Tohoku Shinkansen derailed and the Tohoku Expressway was temporarily closed. I had work in Murayama for the day. I tried going to Wakamatsu for lunch, but they weren't open yet at 11:17, so I decided to try this restaurant instead. It's located on Shin Ome Kaido, technically in Gakuen Ichome but mostly known as Sanbonenoki. This ramen chain is quite common, but this was my first time dining in one. There was only one other customer. I bought a ticket for the Ajitama Ramen (840 yen). The noodle firmness, flavor intensity, and oil level were all average. When the ramen arrived, the soup tasted cheap. It lacked pork bone flavor, was light on soy sauce, and was sweet and salty. The noodles were slightly tough. Adding grated garlic, chopped ginger, and diced onions towards the end made it closer to my preferred taste. It seems to be managed by Gift Holdings Co., Ltd. The government officially decided to fully lift the 21-day targeted measures to prevent the spread. Today's new cases were 8,461 in Tokyo, marking a 14th consecutive week-on-week decrease. The 7-day average compared to the previous week was 86.8%, staying below 100% for 34 consecutive days. Kanagawa had 5,268 cases, Osaka had 5,009 cases. Aomori Prefecture reported a record high of 643 cases. Nationwide, there were 53,514 cases.

On this day, I had some business at PD, so I went to Machida Shouten. I parked my car in the parking lot and entered the store. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen at the ticket machine and was guided to a table. I handed over my ticket and ordered "strong, extra, normal". The soup was stable and rich with a strong and flavorful pork bone soy sauce base, paired perfectly with medium-thick noodles. The Char Siu was tender and delicious. Honestly, I think the previous version of Machida Shouten was better. I wish they would go back to that style. Adding garlic made it even more delicious. The best in the house style! The staff's service was also good. It was truly a delicious meal. Thank you. I will come back again.

My wife and I went for a drive and had lunch at this restaurant. Even though we arrived at an off-peak time, the place was quite busy with customers coming in non-stop. I ordered the gyoza set with firm texture, while my wife ordered the half fried rice set with normal texture. The staff were all young and energetic, working hard and creating a pleasant atmosphere. The taste was as delicious as always, rich and satisfying. This time, we tried using the chopped ginger condiment for the first time, and it had a flavor similar to pickled ginger but it went surprisingly well with the meal. Both of us finished our meals completely satisfied.

While on the way to visit a grave and see the katakuri flowers, I stumbled upon a udon restaurant that I had been looking for but missed. I didn't feel like turning back, so I continued driving slowly while searching for a good place to eat. I noticed that there were mainly large chain stores along the local highway. I found a ramen shop with a sign for "house-style ramen" and decided to stop there. I bought a meal ticket for a ramen set with gyoza for 1000 yen, which seemed like a reasonable price. I chose firm noodles, normal soup thickness, and normal oil level. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. It had thick curly noodles with a rich tonkotsu broth. The chashu was delicious too. The quail egg topping was a bit disappointing, I should have added an extra regular egg. The soup was so salty, almost like tsukemen, that I couldn't finish it. I felt like asking for a refill of soup at the end (but I didn't). The gyoza arrived at the same time as the ramen, so it was a bit hectic to eat both at once. But taking a bite of ramen, then a bite of gyoza, and repeating was actually quite enjoyable. The energetic and cute staff members were a big plus point for me.

*First visit in February 2021* (31st visit in 2021) This place is located along the Shin-Ōme Kaidō. It is a directly operated store of a commercial chain (Gift Co., Ltd.). It has been a topic on a popular ramen YouTube channel lately, so I visited here out of curiosity. I arrived a little after 4 PM. I ordered ramen for 720 yen from the ticket machine, with an extra serving of seaweed for 100 yen. I requested the noodles to be cooked firm. The interior has 6 counter seats, 4 tables for 6 people, 2 tables for 4 people, and 1 table for 2 people. There were no previous customers. There were 2 customers after me. The place is run by 2 men. The kitchen's wall is high, so it's hard to see inside, but I didn't see any large stockpots. Of course, it's the commercial chain soup. There was a cardboard box of noodles, most likely from Shijonomiya Shōten. The noodles were being boiled in a large pot. I was served in about 5 minutes. The color of the soup can vary depending on the store, but today's was pale. First, the soup. Yes, it's the tonkotsu-style soup. It felt a bit thicker than usual, maybe because of the oil? The chicken oil was at an appropriate amount. It has a slight aroma, but the sweetness and oiliness of the soup, which are derived from the lard, come first. The pork bone flavor is weak, or more like pork bone essence. It lacks richness, and among the CK chain, it probably has the weakest pork bone flavor. Ultra Foods or Sunrise Kitchen may have more of a pork bone taste. The soy sauce flavor is not that strong, but there is enough saltiness. So, it's the usual sweet and salty soup. And the soup portion was very small. The medium-thick noodles from Shijonomiya have indeed become thinner than before. While some franchise stores still use thicker noodles, the directly operated stores have been using these lately. The firmness was quite firm. Despite not being very thick, these noodles have a strange roughness to them. The texture is not great, and it doesn't mix well with the creamy soup. I would have liked a bit more elasticity or chewiness. The chashu was a belly roll, with a normal size and thickness. It felt more solid than before, maybe they changed it? The fat portion was moderate and had a firm texture. The seasoning was moderate and not bad. The spinach was a bit scarce. It was cooked slightly soft and lacked flavor. The seaweed was increased to 8 sheets. The extra serving is 5 sheets for 100 yen. The size was a bit small, with a slightly coarse texture. When dipped in the soup, it shrinks, but the flavor was decent. The garnish of leeks was finely chopped and a bit scarce. I still prefer sliced leeks. It's been a while since I last ate here, but there hasn't been much improvement... The staff was very energetic. Thank you for the meal. Machida Shoten has locations in various places. This one is located in Musashimurayama, on Ome Kaido. It is a store on a main street, part of a chain so it attracts a steady flow of customers. The staff is mostly young and can be seen chatting on the floor, but they are cheerful and energetic when serving customers. - Salt Char Siu Ramen: The soup is creamy with just the right amount of oil and flavor. The noodles were a bit too firm for my liking. The Char Siu was average quality, maybe 1 piece would have been enough. - Fried Chicken: The coating was crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. - Gyoza: The filling was not too seasoned, which was good, but they tasted like typical frozen gyoza you can find at any ramen shop.

Maruta Shoten Musashimurayama Store: This time, the legendary family story takes place in Musamula (Musashimurayama City)!! A new world ramen created by super advanced technology starts from here!! We've arrived, haven't we! We finally made it to Musamula!! Pandora's box is open! Isn't it amazing and dangerous? What kind of lunch will it be today? Let's ask Siri! I'll have the ramen in regular size. It's white! White! Just as I said, it's a taste that you probably already know! You need to be prepared for heartburn later! The day when the store-cooked soup will perish is coming!! Whether you believe it or not is up to you! Sorry for the long introduction. Hello again! I'm getting excited with this classic ramen! I'll have the ramen in regular size with a stronger flavor! I've learned from experience that making it too rich just makes it too heavy! Also, I don't want it too firm x2. Now, let's eat! The noodles seem thinner than before, and the seaweed is a normal size. It might be getting mixed up with other ramen shops because of the break I've had. I ordered it with a slightly firm texture! It wasn't too chewy, and the overall taste was good. It wasn't as bad as I expected. If you don't think of it as a family-style ramen, it's actually quite delicious. Shall we ask Siri? Enough with that! It's the beginning of a new world! Whether you believe it or not is up to you! That's it for now, see you later! This review was not by Seki Akio, but in a charismatic high school girl style. Goodbye!

I had some business in the direction of Musashimurayama and decided to have lunch nearby. I was in the mood for ramen, specifically tonkotsu ramen. I searched on Tabelog and found a restaurant that ranked highly for tonkotsu ramen, so I chose that place. It is located along the Shin-Ōme Kaidō. The restaurant is on the side of the road heading towards Ome, and if you're approaching from the opposite lane, you need to turn at the intersection before entering the narrow road after the first traffic light to reach the parking lot. The parking lot can fit around 30 cars and seems to be shared with the adjacent SoftBank store. I purchased my meal from the ticket machine as soon as I entered. This time, I ordered ramen (700 yen) with rice (100 yen) and the MAX ramen (950 yen) with rice (100 yen) to compare and enjoy a luxurious meal. I handed the meal tickets to the staff and they asked about our flavor preferences before seating us. The interior of the restaurant is still quite new and very clean. There are sofa tables for 6, 5 tables for 2, and a counter with 6 seats, providing ample seating space. Our food arrived in about 5 minutes. First, the soup. It didn't look too thick at first glance, but it was actually quite rich. For those who prefer a slightly stronger flavor in their tonkotsu ramen, the "normal" option might be sufficient. Next, the noodles. They were curly, medium-thick, and had a nice chewy texture. As for the toppings, the regular ramen came with spinach, one slice of chashu, three nori sheets, and a quail egg. The MAX ramen had spinach, three slices of chashu, six nori sheets, a quail egg, and a flavored egg. The MAX ramen looked quite luxurious compared to the regular ramen. The flavored egg was firm and not too flavorful, quite standard. The chashu was large and firm. Overall, the taste was reminiscent of a rich Yokohama-style tonkotsu ramen. I prefer this level of richness compared to lighter tonkotsu ramen. As for how I eat rice at tonkotsu ramen restaurants, I like to put a little doubanjiang on the rice, wrap it in nori soaked in soup, and eat it. I did the same this time and it was delicious. I recommend trying it. There are also cucumber pickles and pickled ginger on the table, which are great for refreshing your palate after a rich meal. Thank you for the meal.

I had work in Musashimurayama City from the morning, and as I was driving around the city, I realized it was already past noon. I had a meeting scheduled for 1 pm, so I wanted to have lunch around this area and happened to come across this restaurant. It's a ramen shop that you can see here and there. I've seen them in Kanagawa as well. When I entered the restaurant, there was a ticket machine, and since I didn't know what kind of ramen they had, I followed the rule of the top left corner of the ticket machine and chose a ramen and half fried rice set. You can choose the firmness of the noodles, the richness of the flavor, and the amount of pork fat in the ramen, but I chose all of them to be normal. I was guided to a counter seat, and looking around, the capacity seemed to be around 30 people. About half of the seats were taken. There were condiments and free chopped onions and Q-chan on the table. I thought about putting onions in the ramen and using Q-chan as a substitute for pickled ginger in the fried rice. When I peeked into the kitchen from the counter, a young lady was vigorously shaking a large wok. Is that my fried rice? Sure enough, in about 5 minutes, the half fried rice arrived. I was told to wait a bit for the ramen, so I started eating the fried rice first. When I saw it, the rice had a nice shine to it! I wasn't expecting much, but... it's delicious! When I tried it with a spoon, it was delicious! The seasoning was just right, the rice was well fried, and the ingredients and rice were well combined, giving it a unified and delicious taste. It was easy to eat, with a balance between being slightly crispy and moist. I felt like I wanted to try the large size of this fried rice. It's completely to my liking, and it's worth coming here just for this fried rice. No, next time, I'll just have the large fried rice and dumplings! When I had eaten about half of it, the ramen arrived. When I drank the soup, the emulsified tonkotsu soup was rich. The noodles were medium thick straight noodles, and they mixed well with the soup. The toppings included 3 sheets of seaweed, chashu, quail egg, and spinach. It's a house-style ramen, but it felt like a house-style ramen that has evolved differently from the ones I'm used to. Thank you for the meal.
