Oh? Have you always been coming here and overlooking this counter decoration? Maybe you thought it was just an object and ignored it. Anyway, we had a soda mix with natsume and kuko nuts, while our daughter had a jackfruit soda mix. Drinking it outside the shop gives a feeling of being in Vietnam. It's delicious. We ordered guava for seconds. The papaya salad, unlike Okinawan cuisine where you really taste the papaya, is different but I can't quite explain it. It's delicious. The seafood pho stir-fry is our usual way to end the meal, consistently delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The interior renovation of BEP VIET is completed and it has reopened. Before, there were only table seats which made it a bit uncomfortable for solo customers as it felt like taking up space, especially when there were groups. However, after the renovation, there are more counter seats, making it easier for solo customers to enjoy. I always enjoy delicious Vietnamese dishes as I sip on my favorite drink.

Of course, I have been there many times, so praising it is a bit over the top, but it's definitely worth it. However, this time, there is one thing I must mention! The seafood pho. Using rice flour noodles is a given. But the combination of ingredients, the seasoning, and the fact that it didn't lose its flavor even when it got cold, everything was impressive! Even though I only ordered the shrimp spring rolls and one other dish, I was satisfied. I'm sorry, the photo is not great, please forgive me. ☺️

In this area near the restaurant, there are 6-7 customers visible from our store, so I always hoped to catch them passing by our store at some point during our business hours. But last time they went to the Chinese restaurant next door. This time it's our turn! Lunch Buncher: "Bun" refers to a type of rice noodle, known for being relatively dry. "Cha" is pork. It's a dish in a tsukemen style, where you can taste the sweet, sour, and spicy flavors all at once. I've had bun before, but this tsukemen style dish is new to me. Let's dig in! Hmm, the sweet-sour-spicy flavors! Other than the texture of the noodles, the sweet and sour taste is similar to the tsukemen broth at Higashi-Ikebukuro Daishoken. The spiciness is also mild. As usual, the mysterious broth that I can't quite identify, but it's rich and uniquely delicious! The pieces of meat are big and have a nice chewy texture, really showcasing the meat dish! Delicious. I'll remember this dish. It reminded me of the table manners in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Oh right, you're not supposed to hold the bowl in your hand or slurp directly from it! It's been a while so I forgot (^_^;). In this case, I should use chopsticks to put the noodles in the soup spoon and then bring it to my mouth. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a tsukemen style dish? haha.

I visited around 11:30 on a regular day. There were already customers, but there were plenty of seats available. The lunch menu's Banh Mi and Mini Pho mixed set for 1100 yen was not available. I wonder if it's sold out? I ended up trying the beef tendon curry rice for 930 yen at the Vietnamese restaurant. It took about 14 minutes to arrive. The curry was surprisingly large, and it came with salad and soup, which looked quite delicious. The soup was extremely hot. It had a Vietnamese flavor, but I'm not sure exactly what it was. The beef tendon curry was similar to curry from a soba shop, a bit salty but it went well with the rice. There was a generous amount of tender beef tendon, which was nice. The garlic vinegar on the table added a nice touch. With plenty of curry roux and a good portion of rice, even the regular size was filling. I was surprised by the Japanese-style curry. I look forward to trying the mixed set next time.

Visit in April 2023. Located a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station. Visited on a weekday night. The restaurant has about 30 table seats. The menu overall is limited. Ordered fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, beef and celery stir-fry, chicken pho, and pineapple salad. The dishes are reasonably priced around 800 yen including tax, and drinks are around 500 yen. Overall, the dishes are lightly seasoned with a mild flavor. The fried spring rolls were freshly fried and generous in portion but had a slightly dry texture resembling tofu. The pineapple salad had too much water from the bean sprouts... not very satisfying. The pho had plenty of chicken and the flat noodles were to my liking, but they were overcooked and doubled in quantity. There wasn't a standout recommended dish. The staff were friendly and left a good impression. It seems to be a place where Vietnamese people living in Ueno gather, so the taste might be close to authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

I recently moved and this was my first visit to this restaurant. The exterior has a vibe that feels like it could really be in Vietnam, which I love. Inside, a young couple efficiently runs the place. The Banh Xeo looked delicious, so I asked for it without meat since my daughter and I don't eat meat. They kindly added extra shrimp instead. The Banh Xeo was incredibly delicious! It has a crispy crepe-like skin that you wrap with the ingredients in lettuce and dip in sauce. It seems that many Japanese people pour the sauce over it, but it's better not to as it takes away from the crispiness. They suggested trying different dishes without meat, and the service was great. I ordered a bottle of Nep Moi, a shochu made from glutinous rice, which was recommended. It was interesting that the 30° was 500ml and the 40° was 700ml. I chose the 40° and it had a coconut aroma and a nice nutty flavor. It's a bit strong, but it becomes easier to drink when mixed with soda. All the dishes were delicious and they provided detailed explanations. Despite being in a less crowded area, this place is a hidden gem. I will definitely be coming back here again.

I wonder if the owners of this shop are a couple? Both of them are energetic and polite. The atmosphere is very comfortable. - The fried spring rolls are crispy and delicious. They are filled with plenty of vegetables. - The special Banh Mi lunch looks good. I like the sweet sauce. - The Vietnamese iced coffee was also good. Mix in condensed milk before transferring to a cup with ice. It's nice that you can adjust the sweetness yourself. Thank you for the meal. I will come again.

I aimed for Eiraiken, but they were still preparing past 11:30 and when I called, they said it was full and I couldn't enter until an hour later. So, I gave up and headed towards Ueno. On the way, I found a Vietnamese restaurant called BEP VIET, so I decided to go in. Looking at the menu, they had Pho and Banh Mi, and a mixed set (1100 yen) that included both, so I ordered that with a mini chicken Pho and Banh Mi. First, the mini chicken Pho arrived. Squeezing plenty of lemon and eating it with cilantro made it delicious. By the time I finished the mini chicken Pho, the Banh Mi arrived. The crispy bread with lots of vegetables and meat in a slightly spicy sauce. This Banh Mi is delicious. I also think it would be easier to eat if it came in a paper bag like a hamburger.

Finally made it! Due to the impact of Corona or irregular opening hours, I couldn't quite find the right timing to visit, but I finally made it. It's a bit far from Ueno Station (about a 10-minute walk), so the access may not be great for those coming from the station. I visited during Sunday lunch time. It seems like the menu has been reduced based on previous reviews and photos. I love Banh Mi. I ordered the mix set for 1100 yen, which allows you to enjoy both mini pho and Banh Mi. Feeling adventurous, I also added a single order of fresh spring rolls for 150 yen. You can choose between chicken or beef for the mini pho. The fresh spring rolls were average with not many ingredients - just shrimp and lettuce. The homemade chili sauce was not sweet chili sauce but rather a spicy one. It would be better if it had more sweetness. The pho was decently delicious with a gentle and light soup. It had plenty of green onions and cilantro, which was nice. The Banh Mi was very delicious! It had a warm and crispy bread with vegetables and some unknown meat inside. What could it be? I'll savor it again next time and report back. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with a clean and cozy atmosphere. It was not crowded, which was nice. I will definitely come back again!

This is the second review post for "BEP VIET". After the initial post, the restaurant was closed for a long time due to the pandemic, and there were times when I thought it might have closed down. However, it is now open and operating well! I heard from the staff that there are many customers during lunchtime, and recently, the number of customers in the evening has also increased. The restaurant is a bit far from the nearest station, so the main customers seem to be locals and Vietnamese customers. I had predicted that the restaurant would become popular due to its delicious food and good atmosphere, and it seems to be coming true. I often stop by here after drinking in Asakusa every week. I always have a Vietnamese shochu "Nep Moi" highball for my drink, and for food, I leave it up to the chef. Lately, I have been getting a Vietnamese sandwich "Banh Mi" as a souvenir to take home. The sauce is so delicious that I eat it every week and I'm getting more and more hooked. Thank you for the delicious meal.

- The half chicken grilled with herbs is quite filling. You can also take home any leftovers. The flavors are deep and delicious, and it's enjoyable to eat while removing the bones. This is really tasty. - The beef pho is served piping hot with flat noodles, which I personally like. I added lemon and chili sauce for extra flavor. Thank you for the meal. I love this place because the service is very welcoming.

I found this shop while taking a walk. I visited on a Sunday after 7pm. There were regular customers, a couple, and a young couple already there, creating a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the "Three Brothers of Vietnam" beers - Hanoi Beer, 333 Beer, and Saigon Beer. For food, we had salted fried chicken, fried spring rolls, and Banh Xeo. The salted fried chicken was bone-in, crispy, flavorful, and had a nice peppery spice. The mysterious fried vegetable dish was delicious (it looked like chrysanthemum greens...). While fresh spring rolls are famous, I personally prefer fried spring rolls! The crispy skin and juicy filling were great! It was tasty on its own and fun to try different flavors with the condiments on the table. And my favorite, Banh Xeo. The fried egg part was excellent! The shrimp was firm, the meat was tasty, the freshness of the coriander was lovely - a very delicious Banh Xeo. I've ordered it in many places, but this one ranks high! I wanted to try the pho too, but we were too full. It cost us less than 4000 yen for two people... such a great deal! I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

At first, I was thinking of getting the beef pho, but I decided to try the Bun Cha dish instead. It's meant to be eaten like tsukemen, with a light flavor and a strong garlic kick. The tsukemen-style noodles had chunks of meat similar to hamburger, giving it a satisfying texture. They kindly left out the cilantro for me, making it easier to eat. I also ordered yakitori, which was delicious as well. The prices were cheap. Thank you for the meal.

I have visited this place for lunch on Saturdays a few times. I always have the chicken pho, which is simple, authentic, and delicious. I like that they don't ask me anymore if I want cilantro, because I always want a lot of it. During the week, they have a mini pho and banh mi set which I recommend for those who visit on weekdays. I personally think their banh mi is tastier than other specialty shops.

Located a short walk from Hibiya Line Iriya Station in Tokyo, on the 1st floor of a building along Kappabashi Hon-dori, is the Vietnamese restaurant "BEP VIET." I visited for the first time on a late November evening. The bright and clean interior has a total of 33 seats, including counter and table seating. I sat at a 4-person table. The restaurant is run by a Vietnamese man and woman. I started with a "333 Beer" (600 yen) to quench my thirst. For the dishes, I left it up to the staff to choose a couple of appetizers, and they brought out steamed duck and cashew nuts. The "steamed duck" was flavorful and delicious on its own, but even better with salt or chili sauce. The "cashew nuts" are a specialty known as a souvenir in Vietnam, and they make a great snack to accompany drinks. The authentic flavors felt like I was drinking at a half-open stall in Vietnam. The restaurant seems busy during lunch, but it was not crowded in the evening, so I had a great conversation with the staff. I ended up buying a bottle of Vietnamese shochu "NepMoi." It has a sweet vanilla-like aroma and a refreshing aftertaste, perfect for easy drinking. I settled the bill a little past 11 pm. I definitely want to visit again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Cheers!

I visited a Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. The location is at the end of Kappabashi Hon-dori, quite far from either Inaricho Station or Ueno Station. There is a Chinese restaurant called Kinshu next door. The lunch menu includes pho, curry, fried rice, grilled pork, and grilled chicken. The recommended dish seems to be the beef pho set. I ordered the grilled pork set for 950 yen. The grilled pork set was served in about 5 minutes, with soup and dessert included. The plate of grilled pork came with pickled vegetables, cabbage salad, and a boiled egg. The pickled vegetables were mostly carrots, cut in thick slices, and had a crunchy texture. At first glance, the grilled pork seemed a bit small in portion, but as I ate it, I found it satisfying. It tasted similar to tonkatsu. The soup had a rich flavor and was very delicious. I had coffee after the meal. Since the soup was so tasty, I would like to try the pho next time.

◆Introduction of the restaurant (location, atmosphere, reason for choosing, etc.): Located on the side street of the famous Kappabashi Hon-dori, this Vietnamese restaurant caught my eye after visiting the renowned cafe "Kent." ◆Ordered items: - August 12, 2020: Beef Pho Set (lunch menu) - August 14, 2020: Seafood Vermicelli (grand menu) ◆Impressions of the food: The Beef Pho Set came with spring rolls, dessert, and coffee. The pho had that authentic taste I remembered from Vietnam, where I enjoyed it from street stalls and stands. Similarly, this place had a minimal selection of seasonings but was truly authentic. The Seafood Vermicelli was served with soup and packed with delicious seafood flavors. ◆Interior environment: [Kids Friendly]: Not confirmed, but I believe kids are welcome. [Smoking Environment]: Non-smoking [COVID-19 Measures]: Hand sanitizing at the entrance. ◆Visit date and time: August 12, 2020, and August 14, 2020 ⏰: 13:00 【Yelp Rating】 Score: 3.1 1.0-5.0: A place worth revisiting! 3.5-4.0: Would definitely revisit. 3.0-3.4: Would revisit if given the chance. 2.5-2.9: Worth visiting once. 1.0-2.4: No need to visit. Thank you for the meal!

My wife and I had lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant that she had been curious about for a while. She had noticed it during her early morning runs. Sometimes we both crave Thai or Vietnamese cuisine. We ordered beef pho, Vietnamese fried rice, and fresh spring rolls. We also got a lemon sour for 290 yen as part of a promotion. The pho broth was delicious, and the lemon sour was tasty too. The beef in the pho was a bit hard to eat with just the broth, but it was okay. Some parts of the pho were undercooked and stuck to the roof of my mouth, which was not pleasant. The fried rice tasted great when we poured the pho broth over it.

◉ Update: I had the pho for lunch on 7/17. They offer versions with beef or chicken. It comes with lemon and red chili for customization, which is great. The soup is amazing, refreshing with a rich flavor. It's a menu you'll crave in the summer season. In addition to the pho, you get a fresh spring roll and a dessert with a Vietnamese touch. You also get Vietnamese coffee (hot or cold) after the meal, all for around 900 yen, which is a great value! They also offer a half-size pho and sets with rice dishes. The manager and staff are friendly and always bring a positive vibe to the place. ◉ This Vietnamese restaurant opened in the fall of 2019, located within a 10-minute walk from Inase-cho Station and Iriya Station. I have visited three times already. Last time, I went with a Vietnamese friend (a convenience store clerk I befriended). ◉ The interior is cozy, giving you a feeling of being in Vietnam. ◉ I enjoyed a 333 beer from Vietnam while trying their recommended fried spring rolls. ◉ Eating the garlic slices and pickled red chili placed on each table with the beer makes it even better. The unique Vietnamese herbs are addictive. ◉ The "Vietnamese hot pot," serving 2-3 people for 1980 yen, is quite a generous portion. The flavor is similar to Tom Yum Kung. ◉ You mix the salted broth, red chili (quite spicy), and lime (or lemon) on a small plate as a dipping sauce. This combination is delicious. I believe the Vietnamese hot pot will become popular. For dessert, they offer bun noodles. ◉ The female staff's smiles are lovely. The warm atmosphere makes you feel kinder, enhancing the taste of the food. I recommend the Vietnamese hot pot and fried spring rolls. When you ask the female staff for recommendations, they happily suggest something. You'll have a wonderful time, feeling like you're on a trip. The menu is expected to expand, and I want to support this hidden gem of a restaurant!
