マダム・チェチーリア
I was invited by a student of English, H, to enjoy a teppanyaki course and the view from the 37th floor. Just like when I visited Top of Ebisu on the 39th floor, being close to the sky makes me feel closer to heaven and as if I am near Angelina. But then the tears start flowing again. It's important not to cry during a dinner meant to lift your spirits with delicious food. When you get off the elevator on the 37th floor, you are greeted by a large picture window at the end of the hallway, where Le Corbusier's work is displayed in the Mori Gallery. The reservation was from 6pm onwards, and we were led to the teppanyaki room where there were two gentlemen in suits already seated. According to H, the Ark Hills Club has a more mature and calm member age group compared to Roppongi Hills Club, making it a quiet and pleasant place. In addition to teppanyaki, they also offer Japanese cuisine and sushi. We chose the fillet for our course, which was served with Baron de Rothschild champagne. The teppanyaki course started with smoked salmon mousse beautifully presented in a crown-shaped glass dish. It was followed by a leafy small salad, taiwanese sea bass and jumbo mushrooms, Chiba-grown bitter gourd teppanyaki, and a unique plant called Grapal leaf served with honey dip. The craft beer made in Roppongi Ark Hills was a first for me and had a creamy foam that lingered. The Hokkaido black wagyu fillet was paired with Francis Coppola's Cabernet Sauvignon. The meat was accompanied by dill, viola, garlic chips from Aomori, white eggplant and pumpkin from Osaka, Swiss chard, Okinawa hibiscus salt, Yachi miso, balsamic vinegar, honey ponzu, onion, and western wasabi. The garlic rice and H's recommended sea urchin fried rice were also delicious. The teppanyaki chef's skill in cooking the sea urchin to perfection was impressive. After enjoying the teppanyaki course, we moved to the lounge for dessert and coffee. The view of Tokyo Tower and Mori Building from the window table was stunning. The atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated, with a cigar room and library adding to the adult ambiance. The art collection and wine selection were excellent, and the staff's service was refined. Thank you, H, for the wonderful evening of beautiful night views, teppanyaki, and post-dinner relaxation.
