I would appreciate it if you could like, save, or follow me for encouragement :) [Ebisu Thai Bar] - A bar where you can enjoy Thai cuisine in Ebisu - Reservations available through Tabelog and Hot Pepper - About 70% full around noon on weekdays - Credit card, IC payment, and QR code payment available [Dishes] - Broccoli & Chicken Plate 1200 yen - Ice Cream 300 yen Comes with soup. A variation of Khao Man Gai with broccoli instead of rice. They also included a small portion of rice as a service. You can choose between white rice and mixed grain rice. There are two types of sauces, and personally, I enjoyed mixing them together. It would have been nice to have a bit more sauce. The ice cream on this day was black tea flavor, with a generous portion similar to a Super Cup. I also have an Instagram account, so feel free to take a look: https://www.instagram.com/sss_03gourmet/

I visited the restaurant "Bista" located on the second floor of a building along Ebisu Street, a few minutes' walk from JR Ebisu Station East Exit, for lunch in early April. The restaurant has a total of 16 seats, including counter seats and table seats, and I was seated at the counter. The menu had six lunch options, including Western and Thai dishes. I ordered the "Garlic Chicken Tomato Stew" (1000 yen) with soup, choosing multigrain rice. The soup arrived first, followed by the main dish. The dish looked appetizing on a large white plate, with a good balance of colors. I dug in with a fork and knife and found the chicken to be tender with a nice balance of tomato acidity and meaty flavor. It was delicious, especially with the multigrain rice. The salad was fresh and tasty as well. I finished the meal soon after. It was a satisfying dining experience.

Located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station East Exit, this place is just off the main street. The sign for Thai cuisine has caught my eye before. The interior has a cafe/bar-like atmosphere, which transforms into a bar at night. It has a stylish ambiance. I ordered the Gapao Rice on this day for 1000 yen. When I placed my order, soup was promptly served. It was a light chicken soup. The Gapao Rice with mixed grains comes with a leafy salad and a boiled egg. The salad is dressed with creamy dressing, and the boiled egg is soft-boiled, which I liked. You can choose the spiciness level and rice type between white rice and mixed grains. I chose mixed grains this time. The Gapao had a curry-like appearance, which made me wonder if it was supposed to be like that. It was more chunky than I expected, and the amount of sauce was less than I thought, so I ended up leaving some rice. The flavor was good, with a strong basil taste.

I happened to have a job in Ebisu, and before that, I decided to grab a bite to eat. As I was walking, I saw a sign with a "Thai cuisine menu" on it, and it looked delicious, so I decided to check it out. However, when I reached the building, the first floor was empty... Was the restaurant not open? There were no signs on the elevator indicating where the restaurant was located... Confused, I decided to go up to the second floor, and there it was, the restaurant. But the young chefs in the kitchen seemed too busy to notice me... It seemed like they were short-staffed. After waiting for a while without being noticed, I decided to leave, but as I was about to walk out the door, a young lady who seemed to be the owner came back and insisted that I come in. It turned out that they were not short-staffed after all. I was seated at the counter and finally got to order some food. The restaurant had a trendy atmosphere, as it also operated as a bar at night. The lunch menu featured various Thai dishes served on one plate. The menu had 7 options, with all dishes (except for one) priced at 1000 yen including tax. I chose the "Gapao Rice" dish, which could be made spicy upon request. I also ordered a "Oolong Tea" for 200 yen. The meal started with a peppery chicken soup, which I enjoyed. The Gapao dish arrived next, with a small salad on the side. The portion was just right for me, and the spiciness was perfect. The flavors were rich and delicious, and the meal also came with a boiled egg. The kitchen was small, using induction cookers instead of gas stoves. The frozen ingredients were reheated in a water bath, which may not suit those seeking a more gourmet experience, but the taste was surprisingly good. The hospitality was excellent, with the owner being friendly and attentive. The young chef was an artist who had studied fine arts, and his artwork adorned the walls of the restaurant. I felt compelled to support him. To top it off, they even offered complimentary coffee or tea at the end. Overall, I had a pleasant and enjoyable time. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance.

I had lunch at a bar near Shibuya Ebisu Post Office. It was not crowded, maybe because it was tucked away from the main street. The menu had an Asian taste with options like Khao Man Gai, but I chose the Green Curry. The taste was average for Green Curry. However, there was a strong smell of chlorine, perhaps from cleaning right before. It's a smell to avoid while eating. Maybe the bar is more focused on evenings rather than lunch.

I went into the restaurant attracted by the clean and stylish ethnic lunch menu like Khao Man Gai and Gapao, but I was disappointed that they didn't have jasmine rice! But the chicken curry with multigrain rice was delicious as usual!
