Today's dinner was at the Bistro "USHIYA KITCHEN," which I visited for the first time. I made a reservation based on a recommendation from a gourmet acquaintance whom I trust. They only offer a set course menu, but each dish was meticulously prepared and delicious, with the liver steak specialty being especially outstanding! The drink selection was also wonderful, with a variety of options from sparkling to red, white, and even sake. The restaurant offers counter seating, tables, and private rooms, so it's good to choose based on the desired level of intimacy with your dining companion. I'm happy to have found a restaurant I want to visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal! ☻

We had a couple sitting next to us, but we were able to relax in our private room. I forgot to take a photo, but the crab and coffee dish was delicious! The Matsutake mushroom dish was also very satisfying. We each had a drink, and the total came to around ¥35,000. We will definitely visit again! 😊

This is my first visit to Ushiyakitchen in Akasaka. To my surprise, it is located in the same building as Matsui Sushi and KitaFuku Crab. I feel a strange sense of familiarity as I used to visit Matsui Sushi almost every month. It seems that the owner of the yakiniku restaurant has also opened a bistro, which just opened in May this year. I would love to visit their yakiniku restaurant someday. The napkins were folded in a cute way resembling suit jackets, and there were handmade ribbons... a delightful touch for us ladies. While there was no wine pairing, they offered 4-5 types of wine in glasses tailored to our preferences, which was greatly satisfying. The 2016 Domaine Jaeger-Defaix Corton-Charlemagne white wine we had initially paired beautifully with the caviar, coffee, and crab flavors, impressing us with its structure. The 2020 Pierre Morey Pinot Noir we had at the end was a lovely wine with balanced intensity, fruitiness, and acidity, enjoyable even without food. I learned a lot about wine, thank you. The highlight of the meal was the liver! I am a liver enthusiast, always ordering it at yakiniku places, and this liver dish was a revelation. I cannot find the words to describe it adequately, but it will be etched in my memory. The manager's conversation was enjoyable, the food and wine delicious - a fantastic bistro. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Each dish was so exquisite that words fail to describe it! Every single dish could be a main dish with its deliciousness spreading in the mouth like melting. I've never been to a bistro where every item is this delicious. Chef Shimizu's intention is to create a restaurant where customers can freely enjoy their meals. The menu changes from Western to Chinese cuisine, allowing customers to have fun. This intention is reflected in every dish. This bistro, with its fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine, showcases the essence of each ingredient, surprising diners with its illusion-like deliciousness. It will make you want to come back for more!

Ushiya Kitchen in Akasaka. This restaurant opened on the 3rd floor of a building along Akasaka Street in May 2023. It is a branch of the yakiniku restaurant Ushiya. The chef, Shimizu, who previously worked as a sous chef at Akasaka TAKAZAWA, is in charge here. I visited for dinner on this day.

I visited with my wife and small child. The hall staff were very polite and made us feel comfortable even with a child. The quality of the food was outstanding for the price, and I was quite surprised at the bill. The chef used to work at TAKAZAWA in Akasaka as a sous chef. TAKAZAWA is originally a restaurant that costs around 60,000 yen, so it was unbelievable to eat their food at this price. I highly recommend this bistro.

The restaurant is still new and the private rooms have a calm atmosphere, which was nice. The meat was delicious, and so were the caviar and tuna. I didn't like the smell of the pate. I wanted to try the tartare as well, but ran out of time. I definitely want to try it next time.

I visited for the first time with my wife and small child. We sat in a box seat-like area, and it's highly recommended for families. The food was incredibly delicious, even better than I had imagined. The quality is top-notch. The drinks were also very tasty, and they even had noble rot wine available. The chestnut honey ice cream left a lasting impression. Since they haven't been open for long, it seems like they're not well-known yet, so now is a great time to make a reservation.
