Next to Kanda Chuo Street, there is a red lantern with an illustration of a bird and a cat hanging in the alley. The yakitori restaurant Torineko, which used to be located at the corner of Tamachi 2-chome intersection, moved and reopened here in July 2021. It is now on the first floor of a trendy three-story glass building. The interior is long and narrow, with a counter seating for eight on the right and table seating on the left. The place was already quite crowded when I arrived around 6:30 pm, with a high ratio of female customers. The counter seats are slightly elevated, making it a bit challenging for shorter individuals. I ordered the beer and seven skewers set, which was delicious. The skewers included various types of meat and vegetables, all of which were tasty. The staff, mostly women, were working efficiently, reminiscent of the three wives of Uzui Tengen from "Demon Slayer." Overall, it was a popular yakitori spot in the alley.

Today, I tried to make a reservation at Torinokakehashi for yakitori around Kanda, but they were fully booked. So, I searched and found this place. I didn't have any prior information, but I made a reservation and visited! The restaurant allows smoking inside, which is rare these days. It seemed relatively new and very clean! Even though it was a weekday, the place was almost full, with many locals and office workers. Both the counter and tables were bustling with customers. First, I had the 7-piece course, and then I added some additional items. Here's what I had: chicken breast, thigh, zucchini, liver, gizzard, tomato, neck, heart, chicken skin, myoga roll, vegetable sticks, thick tofu, and chicken soup. Honestly, I wonder why I didn't know about this place sooner because the food was so delicious that it became my favorite spot instantly. The atmosphere was just right, with a comfortable level of buzz. The grilled items were all tasty, with perfect seasoning that wasn't too strong or too light, so I didn't get tired of eating. The speed of service was also just right. I want to come back to try other parts of the chicken that I didn't get to try this time. Thank you for the wonderful meal! #KandaGourmet

Today, I went to this yakitori restaurant for a farewell party. I ordered the 10-piece chef's choice set. The restaurant has a small space with counter and table seating, but they serve each yakitori skewer fresh and hot. The chicken breast skewers with wasabi soy sauce and the liver skewers cooked rare were both delicious and tender. The grilled vegetables were also tasty! I may have gotten carried away and had too much to drink - about 7 drinks including beer, lemon sour, and mitsutake soda - which came out to a little over 7,000 yen for one person. Thank you for the meal!

I was introduced to this restaurant by a gourmet junior colleague. The must-order is the "X-course" and you can add on as you go. From the first bite of the chicken breast, I was convinced that this is a top-notch restaurant. The chicken (both meat and organs), vegetables, and all the dishes were incredibly delicious. The interior of the restaurant is quite stylish. On this particular day, I saw groups of friends, couples on dates, business meetings, and bosses entertaining their subordinates. From 7 pm until closing time, we ate and drank to our heart's content for around 8,000 yen per person. The cost performance is amazing. It seems that electronic cigarettes are allowed.

It was Friday night, but I was able to get in without a reservation. The place was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced. The yakitori was delicious. I started with a set of 7 skewers for 1,500 yen and ended up ordering more. I had a bottle of beer, followed by plenty of sake, and then enjoyed two glasses of high-quality whiskey on the rocks. By the end of the night, I was quite drunk. The service was quiet and pleasant.

I heard that this shop comes highly recommended. The interior is much larger than before, with a layout that seems to have been renovated from a bar or Italian restaurant. I sat at the counter and ordered a set of 7 draft beers with a few extra, as well as the recommended Hakata chicken skin. The "Sasami Wasabi Soy Sauce, Heart, Zucchini, Segimo, Chouchin, Furisode Salt, Sand Soft, Saezuri, Grilled Onigiri" were delicious. It was a delicious restaurant just as recommended. This was my first visit to Torineko since they moved. The location has a bit of a revolving door feel, but it's not too far from the station, just a bit hidden in an alley. The glass facade gives off a high-end vibe, so it was a bit surprising to see Torineko there. The shop has expanded and there are more staff now. The menu seems to be the same as before. I ordered a set of 7 skewers, starting with chicken thigh, followed by chicken breast, heart, gizzard, zucchini, liver, and tomato. The quality was as good as before. I also had some thick tofu and enjoyed it with white wine. The atmosphere of the shop feels a bit more open now, with brighter lighting and a younger crowd. They have also added some stylish touches like using sake vessels as decor. The prices are a bit high, but it's a place to consider when you want to have a proper yakitori experience, different from the more casual spots in Kanda.

I was recommended to go and tried it out. The yakitori was very delicious!! I wonder why there are so few reviews on Tabelog, but I think maybe people don't want to share because they want to keep it a secret. The restaurant is always busy whenever I go, so I think it's popular among locals. The first skewer of chicken breast was particularly impressive and tasty. The interior of the restaurant is also clean and easy to use for a date, so I find it very convenient.

I finally found a delicious yakitori restaurant. It seems that it recently moved to a new location and now has a clean, spacious, and hygienic store. The restaurant has a long layout with a counter and table seats in the back. You have to choose between courses of 3, 7, or 10 skewers of yakitori, but unfortunately, they don't have my favorite chicken skin. However, the yakitori I tried was absolutely delicious with perfectly grilled skewers. It was a delight to enjoy crispy and juicy yakitori after a long time. I have explored various yakitori restaurants in Shinbashi, but was disappointed until I found this place. It's like a beacon of hope! I was personally delighted to see that their whiskey menu is surprisingly extensive. They offer a double pour, and I enjoyed a slightly stronger whiskey on the rocks with a generous pour suggested by the staff. It's strange to call it a stronger pour, but it made me happy. I think I ended up having about 5 drinks. Good yakitori restaurants are actually quite rare, so I'm glad this one is close to my workplace. I will definitely be coming back in the future!

At Yakitori Torineko in Kanda, I ordered the chef's choice yakitori skewers, chicken oil over rice with raw egg, and seared mentaiko. The restaurant recently moved from Kanda to Kanda, specializing in Hakata-style grilled chicken. The chef skillfully grilled a variety of skewers including chicken breast, thigh, heart, liver, and pork belly. The new location makes it a bit harder to see the impressive grilling action at the counter, but the grilling technique is still top-notch. They also offer unique skewers like Awaji Island onion and zucchini, which were delicious. I also tried the rare cuts like chicken tail and chicken wing, although unfortunately the popular chicken skin was sold out. The highlight of the meal was the chicken oil over rice topped with seared mentaiko, it was heavenly! I definitely want to come back for the crispy Hakata chicken skin next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

There are many restaurants with the name "yakitori" in the world, and I thought I knew everything about what yakitori is after living for over half a century. However, I was completely moved. It's delicious here. Really. The interior of the restaurant is not typical, and there is no Kanda-like atmosphere. But it's delicious here. I want to visit alone and just immerse myself in the taste without saying anything.

On Saturday, around 6:30 pm, about a third of the customers were present. They were all men. We ordered a mixed skewer platter. Personally, I didn't like the tomatoes, liver, and skin. It made me feel a little sick. I thought that this place is more about enjoying drinks and conversation rather than the food.

I made a same-day reservation and they had availability. I ordered my usual 7-piece set with grilled chicken skin and grated daikon radish. I also enjoyed my favorite Ichiro's malt whisky, so I was very satisfied. The restaurant allows smoking, so depending on where you sit, it can be a bit tough, but today it was comfortable.
