After a long time, I went to Higashiyamato. I decided to visit the nostalgic Murayama Hopeken for some old memories. Of course, I ordered the usual Ramen with extra corn. I started by tasting the soup. The visual presentation was familiar and the taste was just as I remembered - light and slightly salty with a hint of sweetness from the back fat. Personally, I liked it, it's like a salt tonkotsu broth. Next, I tried the noodles. They were medium thickness with a good chewy texture, just the way I like it. I ate my meal quietly, reminiscing about the days when I used to train nearby. The smell of tonkotsu broth from Murayama Hopeken would reach me from afar, grabbing my heart and stomach, pulling me into the restaurant on my way home. Even though I knew what would happen if I ate late at night, I couldn't resist ordering the "Ramen with extra corn". It was truly nostalgic... I finished my meal by adding the usual seasonings - black pepper, pickled ginger, chili pepper, and vinegar, and drank up the soup until the last drop. The visual of the dish remained the same, unchanged over the years. As long as I can eat like this, I'll continue to focus on my health and training, so I can come back for more "Ramen with extra corn" in the future. I didn't know that they now accept PayPay, and I was surprised by the change from a yellow-themed exterior to a red-themed one. I'll definitely be back again!

When it comes to Murayama Hokken, I often visit the main store in Musashimurayama. However, going to the same place does not increase the number of reviews on Tabelog. So, I decided to visit the Higashiyamato store, which I have not visited before. Since this store does not have its own parking lot, I parked at a nearby coin parking lot to the south of the store. The store is right in front of the parking lot, so it was easy to find. Unlike the main store where you buy meal tickets from a vending machine, here you place your order verbally. I ordered the Special Ramen for 1,050 yen. Soon enough, the ramen arrived. The layer of lard on top of the soup was thick. The toppings included chashu, boiled egg, bean sprouts, corn, seaweed, and naruto. When I took a sip of the soup, I thought, "Delicious!" As I continued eating, I reached for the chili peppers on the table. Adding a few to the soup turned it bright red. The taste became spicy, which I personally enjoy. I finished the meal and paid at the table. When I went back to the parking lot, the fee was 200 yen. With this, I have added one more review. (^^)

Arrived on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 18:16. The restaurant only had counter seats available, so I was able to enter easily. It's rare to find restaurants open only for lunch on Saturdays, so it felt special. There was no ticket machine, so I placed my order verbally. I ordered the ramen for 770 yen. The noodles were from a company called Tomimasa, which I think is a first for me. The ramen arrived at 18:21, and it looked just like the ramen from Hopeken! The noodles were medium-thick and straight, giving off a refined vibe. However, the soup, chashu, oil, and aroma were unmistakably from Hopeken! I didn't opt for extra green onions for 150 yen or garlic for 50 yen, so I didn't add any garlic or a lot of green onions while eating. The menma was missing, and there was a small piece of seaweed on top. Additionally, there were pickled ginger and a unique chili pepper on the table. This chili pepper adds a special touch and is perfect for those who enjoy Ryujin ramen. This might be the difference between Hopeken and Murayama Hopeken. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Left the restaurant at 18:35.

Chashu Ramen Rice at Murayama Hopeken Higashiyamato Store I went to this restaurant with everyone who was there because it was right next to the parking lot where I parked for work. [Chashu Ramen] The soup was a rich pork broth but lacked flavor and aroma, which was quite disappointing. The noodles were medium thickness but didn't leave a strong impression. The main topping, chashu, was also quite bland and was overpowered by the smell of the soup. Other toppings included seaweed, bean sprouts, and green onions. The flavor seemed to be diluted because the noodles were not drained well. In the end, we tried to change the flavor with the table condiments (pepper, chili pepper, pickled ginger) but we couldn't finish the soup. I was glad I didn't order the extra-large size as usual. Everyone who came with me seemed to have the same impression. Even if it's not crowded, I don't think I would go back again. Thank you for the meal.

After having a yakiniku set meal, I felt like having ramen as a finishing touch, so I decided to visit "Murayama Hopeken" restaurant. I didn't know much about it, but I couldn't forget the taste of Hopeken that I had many years ago in Otsuka. Since I had come this far, I decided to give it a try. I parked by the side of the restaurant and entered. It was lunchtime and the counter was 80% full with customers. Surprisingly, there were many families dining. I looked for the menu and found it on the right-hand wall. I ordered a Chashu ramen without being too greedy. The Chashu ramen cost ¥1050. The visual and aroma of the ramen were amazing. The soup was rich with half-melted lard, and it tasted delicious. The medium-thick noodles soaked in the broth were irresistible. As I was enjoying the meal, I noticed a beautiful lady leaving. She seemed to be using PayPay to pay. Although I felt sad, I couldn't resist the temptation of the Chashu and savored every bite. It was the type of ramen I loved the most. Despite feeling like my stomach was about to burst, it was a nostalgic ramen shop from the good old days of the Showa era. When I got home, my family noticed the strong smell of pork on me and seemed a bit agitated. Tokyo's final meal! Third lunch stop (lol) This is the third lunch stop, so I'm quite full, but the difference between having tasted the most delicious food in the world and not can greatly affect the satisfaction of a trip. My culinary journey is a quest to find the second most delicious food in the world (^_^;) - Ramen: 770 yen including tax - Bean sprouts: 150 yen including tax - Corn: 130 yen including tax - Garlic: 50 yen including tax - Extra green onions: 150 yen including tax - Wakame seaweed: 100 yen including tax - Seaweed: 100 yen including tax Total amount including tax: 1450 yen After PayPay discount, I got this food that is worth 10,000 yen for about 1,000 yen, which is amazing value \(^o^)/ I made the effort to travel over an hour from Ginza to visit this place, and then spent another hour traveling back to catch the Shinkansen at Tokyo Station. Even though I am usually very conscious about typing, in front of Hopeken, I revert back to being a carefree middle-aged man. #Tokyo 21st stop #Higashiyamato City #Town famous for its strange polygamous lifestyle of a 70-year-old man #Ramen #Murayama Hopeken #Among all the Hopeken establishments, this one is the most delicious #Tokyo light pork bone broth with back fat, rich and flavorful.

I went to Murayama Hopeken Higashiyamato store. I parked my car in the coin parking next to the store and ordered Negi Chashu Ramen. The pork bone smell inside the store is irresistibly good! Among all the Hopeken stores, this one is my absolute favorite! The rich and flavorful pork bone soy sauce soup, made by simmering the pork bones, is the best. The texture of the medium-thick noodles goes perfectly with the soup. The chashu is tender and well-seasoned, bursting with meaty flavor. The staff's service is also excellent. It was a truly delicious meal. Thank you. I will definitely come back again.

After eating at Mutahiro in Baijima Station and getting off at Higashiyamato City, I somehow ended up at Hopeken. It's been a while since I last came here. I decided to have ramen this time since I had already eaten at Mutahiro. I topped it with menma. It's easy to eat and not as heavy as it looks. The noodles are to my liking and overall, it's delicious. The menma is not too strong in flavor, which is better than being overly seasoned. The texture is also good. It's nice to have once in a while at Hopeken. Thank you for the meal. I was able to pay with PayPay.

The daytime part of my day included visiting a grave and having lunch, where I enjoyed my favorite ramen from Murayama Hopeken, which is the best in Japan. Lately, I've been trying to leave some of the soup for health reasons, but the soup from Murayama Hopeken is so good that I end up finishing it all! (laughs) Special Ramen: 1,020 yen, Bean Sprouts: 150 yen, Garlic: 50 yen. #GraveVisit #SaitamaPrefectureIrumaCity #Lunch #MurayamaHopeken #TokyoGourmet #6thRestaurantInTokyo #Ramen

Ordered negi ramen at this shop known for its delicious soup. The broth was rich with pork bone flavor and the back fat was thick and oily. The moment I took a sip, I thought, "This is delicious." The green onions had a strong sesame oil flavor. When eaten with the soup and noodles, it was also delicious. Adding the chili pepper provided at the counter to the soup almost knocked me out. The noodles were thin with a strong egg flavor. I had eaten 15 pieces of sushi before coming here, but I still want to eat this again even in that state. The taste is definitely on point. The owner seemed like a true ramen enthusiast, and the atmosphere inside the shop was great.

On this day, I finished my errands in Higashiyamato and decided to eat ramen at "Murayama Hopeken Higashiyamato Branch" before heading home. Oh, how long has it been since I had Hopeken's ramen. I used to go to the Hopeken in Sendagaya almost every week back in the day. The restaurant is located about 6 minutes from Higashiyamato Station on the Seibu Haijima Line. This branch is the second store of the ramen shop related to the "Hopeken Honpo" in Kichijoji. The main store is located in Kamikitadai. I'm not sure when this branch was established, but the main store was founded in 1975, so I assume this branch also has a long history. The Hopeken in Sendagaya that I mentioned earlier seems to have become independent from the "Hopeken Honpo" during its food stall days. The outside of the restaurant has a strong smell of tonkotsu, but the inside is not as strong. There are only counter seats with a total of 30 seats. The atmosphere is very nostalgic, like an old-fashioned ramen shop. It seems that the restaurant is run by a husband and wife. The menu is posted on the wall, and you order verbally. It's rare to see this style of ordering at ramen shops these days, where ticket vending machines are more common. Today, I ordered "Ramen (750 yen) + Large Serving (130 yen) + Bean Sprouts (150 yen) + Egg (60 yen)"!! I ended up adding various toppings. The toppings include chashu, egg, bean sprouts, seaweed, and green onions. By default, there is no menma topping. The noodles are medium-thick and straight. They are cooked firm and have a chewy texture. These noodles are different from the ones at the Hopeken in Kichijoji. The soup is a greasy soy sauce tonkotsu soup. The surface is covered with a layer of fat, and you can also see back fat. Both the noodles and the soup are very similar to the Hopeken in Sendagaya. I didn't think there was any interaction between the two stores, but I wonder why they are so similar. The chashu seems to be pork belly. It is well stewed and well seasoned!! The egg was available in boiled and seasoned options, so I chose boiled without hesitation!! As expected, the classic ramen comes with a hard-boiled egg. There is free pickled ginger on the table. I think there was no pickled ginger at the other Hopeken, but pickled ginger goes well with tonkotsu soup, right? I ended up getting the large serving, but I forgot that the Hopeken series ramen already has a good amount in a regular serving. Oh, I'm so full now (laughs) However, the long-awaited Hopeken was delicious. ◆I have more detailed information on my blog. https://www.koumetan.com/article/491551631.html

Lunch on July 6, 2022 (Wednesday). I worked in Nakayama in the morning. For lunch, I got off the Seibu Line at a station midway through, which was my fourth time doing this. I decided to try eating at Murayama Hopken in Higashiyamato City today. I think this might be my first time entering this restaurant. At 12:12, there were 4 customers ahead of me. I ordered the Chashu Ramen (1020 yen) verbally as they didn't have a ticket system. The Chashu Ramen arrived and I thought it tasted familiar. The pork bone soy soup was a bit lighter than the main store in Murayama. The amount of lard was noticeably less than the main store. It was just right (laughs). The noodles were medium-thick and straight. There was one part of the chashu that felt a bit off. Overall, it was, well, average. Today's new COVID-19 cases were 8,341 in Tokyo, an increase of 4,538 from the previous Wednesday (about 2.2 times), marking the 19th consecutive week-on-week increase. Osaka had 4,621 cases, more than double the previous week. Kanagawa had 3,038 cases. All prefectures saw an increase from the previous week. Tottori Prefecture had a record high. Nationwide, there were 45,797 cases, surpassing 40,000 for the first time since May 18th.

This is my first visit. I ordered the negi chashu ramen. The soup was surprisingly light, more soy sauce-based than it looks. The noodles had a slight powdery texture. The soup had a mild smell that wasn't bothersome. The chashu was not the trendy melt-in-your-mouth type, but more of a traditional, authentic kind that was still tender and delicious. Using the table ramen sauce enhanced the flavor. It's similar to Sendagaya but also different, which is to be expected.🏃‍♂️

I have said it hundreds of times, but the most delicious food in Japan is... Murayama Hopeken (⌒▽⌒). Every time I go there, I think to myself that it's worth paying 10,000 yen, but I never say it out loud (laughs). Yet, I was surprised to find out that even in a rural area, and at the best restaurant in Japan, they offer a 20% discount with PayPay! (◎_◎;) The ramen, originally priced at 1,280 yen, was discounted to 1,018 yen with PayPay. It felt like getting 9,000 yen as pocket money after enjoying such a valuable meal. Although there are still many more restaurants I want to visit, I returned to Osaka completely satisfied. #Visited 23 restaurants this time and my Tokyo trip is over #I am very satisfied with this trip #Murayama Hopeken #Located in Higashiyamato City, Tokyo #Tokyo Tonkotsu #Completely different from other Hopeken branches like Hopeken Honpo in Kichijoji, Hopeken in Sendagaya, and Nogata Hopeken in terms of noodles, soup, temperature, etc. #I had extra noodles at a Hakata ramen shop before coming here, so I left some soup for the first time.

Today, instead of the usual 10 hours with 2-3 breaks, it only took 5 hours! Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy the delicious food at Murayama Hopeken in Ina, and also visit a grave in Iruma. It's amazing that it's only 5 PM. This is all thanks to intermittent fasting (16-hour fasting) which has made it possible for me to go without eating and reduced my trips to the bathroom from 7 to 1-2 times a day (lol). Thank you to my friend who taught me about intermittent fasting! #GraveVisit #MurayamaHopeken #FastestRecordFromOsakaToTokyo #FulfillingDay

Hopeken, I had heard of the name before, but this was my first time visiting. It was a windy day, so the door was open and the breeze was flowing through the restaurant. I ordered the garlic flavor. It arrived with a rich broth topped with back fat. The noodles were medium thickness, providing a satisfying chewiness. The garlic flavor blended well with the soup. The simple toppings of seaweed, bean sprouts, and chashu were also good. I enjoyed the noodles until the last bite. The soup had a lingering deliciousness that made me want to finish it all. Thank you for the meal.

I aimed to search for a shop of Murayama Hope on the app, but ended up at the main store due to a search error. After finding parking elsewhere, I entered the shop without waiting in line. There were three customers ahead of me. When I entered the shop, there was a strong smell of tonkotsu broth, which made me a bit uneasy. I placed my order verbally and soon received the Special Ramen (990 yen). The ramen had plenty of toppings and a good amount of pork fat, but the soup was surprisingly light in flavor with a decent amount of umami. I didn't finish the soup completely, but I enjoyed it without experiencing heartburn. The punch of flavor was stronger at the main store, but I appreciated not getting heartburn this time. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, this might be the place to go. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In 2021, the world's richest person, Elon Musk, is said to love Murayama Hopeken so much that he saved half of his funds in front of the store at "Tamashin = Tama Credit Union." People don't seem to realize the value that Murayama Hopeken brings to the city, as the restaurant is empty. Eating a bowl of ramen here is as valuable as receiving 10,000 yen each time. Those who have the opportunity to eat at Murayama Hopeken every day are as fortunate as those who receive 300,000 yen every month! #TokyoGourmet #Tokyo6thStop #MurayamaHopeken #TheMostDeliciousFoodInJapan #Tamashin #TamaCreditUnion #Check-inFunctionNotWorking

I went to Hopeken for the first time in my life. It's a nostalgic little shop in Higashiyamato. As soon as I entered, I could smell the pork – it was like being in a tonkotsu ramen shop in Fukuoka. I ordered and soon after, my bowl arrived. It was covered in pork fat, giving it a messy look. I took a bite... Surprisingly, it was quite light. In fact, it was rather thin. The soup was quite mild in flavor, despite the sweetness and richness from the pork fat. I added chili oil, vinegar, and plenty of powdered chili pepper from the table, which brought out more depth and made it delicious. The chashu had too much fat for my liking, so I left some. It really weighed on my stomach until the evening... It made me realize that my stomach isn't as young as it used to be. It was a meal that led me to that realization. Thank you for the meal!

The ramen here is so good that I would pay any price for it! If I were hospitalized and unable to go out, I would even pay 5,000 yen to eat it! Menu items include: Gyoza Set (tax included 990 yen), Extra Noodles (tax included 130 yen), Garlic (tax included 50 yen), Bean Sprouts (tax included 150 yen). The total amount including tax is 1,320 yen. It's so cheap! Of course, when I was told it was 1,320 yen today, I paid exactly and received the change. #Tokyo #Higashiyamato City #Murayama Hopeken #The main temple is Hopeken Honpo in Kichijoji #This is a branch of Murayama Hopeken founded by the eldest daughter of the founder of Home Runken, which is older than Hopeken Honpo #The second daughter of the founder is from Asagaya Hopeken #The founder of the FC branch from the street vendor era is from Sendagaya Hopeken #The taste and noodles are completely different.

Here is a review of Hokken, located near Todaiwamachi Station. I have been curious about this place for a while and finally went there after work. I ordered the Special Ramen for 990 yen and added extra noodles, but I forgot the price. It only took about 5 minutes for the ramen to be served. The soup was a tonkotsu shoyu with plenty of pork fat floating on top. Surprisingly, the soup was quite light despite the amount of fat. It was easy to drink without any strong flavors. The noodles were medium thickness and had a nice chewy texture, which I personally liked. The toppings included 3 slices of chashu, corn, menma, boiled egg, nori, green onions, and bean sprouts. The chashu was delicious and not too thin, with a decent size. The other toppings were nothing special, just average. I personally like corn, so I was happy to see it included. Overall, it was a tasty ramen. The chef was also friendly. Thank you for the meal.
