When I moved to Hatagaya, I discovered a shop with a sign on the right after exiting the north exit. The shop is called Kaorifuku-en, not Koufukuen. They offer Chinese set meals, rice bowls, fried rice sets, noodle sets, all for 680 yen. The set meals come with almond jelly, rice, and soup. This week's special includes free spring rolls from 11 am to 11:30 pm. They also offer 200 different dishes for only 300 yen each. Additionally, they have an all-you-can-eat and drink option for 2,980 yen. The shop is spacious with a continental-style service. The menu includes various ramen sets, rice bowl sets, and fried rice sets. The set meals consist of six dishes including mapo tofu, scrambled eggs with leeks, steamed chicken with green onions, sweet and sour pork, beef and vegetable stir-fry, and pork and garlic sprout stir-fry. Lunch customers can get free rice refills up to one bowl. I ordered the five-flavor tanmen for 680 yen, which comes with half-fried rice. The noodles were served in soy sauce soup with a rich filling of vegetables, shrimp, and quail eggs. The noodles were smooth and the soup had a typical Chinese flavor. The half-fried rice was well-filled with chopped fried rice and eggs. My companion ordered the black fried rice, which looked appetizing with a generous portion of rice, vegetables, and eggs. The rice had a dark soy sauce color and was slightly oily but tasty. Overall, the food was decent and reasonably priced. The shop also offers a variety of dishes for dinner, making it an interesting option.
