Updated in September of the 4th year of Reiwa, this is a review of the Japanese restaurant on the 1st floor of Tokyo Prince Hotel. Around 6 o'clock, I went to Shimizu. I greeted Chef H, and tonight I sat at a regular table with Ko-san as my server. Unfortunately, S-san was off today (sad). My companion arrived around 7 o'clock. The tempura for the prefixed dinner is usually fried in Shimizu, but I asked Chef H if he could fry it for us, and he kindly agreed (grateful). Chef H brought us tempura of ginkgo nuts and chestnuts (grateful). The prefixed dinner costs 8000 yen (tax included, drinks extra). For appetizers, we had cheese tofu, ohitashi, and persimmon with white sesame dressing. For sashimi, we had sea bream, tuna, and scallops. We could choose 2 out of 5 hot dishes. The Japanese beef steak (60g) was delicious but rich, so it's better to have the tempura first. The tempura assortment included shrimp, sea bream, pumpkin, shishito pepper, and maitake mushroom. For the main dish, we chose the bara tempura rice bowl with miso soup and pickles. For dessert, we had sesame pudding, fruit jelly, and chestnut roll cake. During the meal, N, who had moved from Manro Nikko to Porto, came to greet us (grateful). On our way out, I asked Chef H to call Chef E from Gotoku for a greeting. Overall ratings: Food 4.2, Service 4.5, Value for money 4.3.
