Freshly fried and hot tempura with a crispy and light batter. A casual and convenient place to enjoy a tempura rice bowl. Tenya also has a store at Haneda Airport. The restaurant considers customers with large carry-on luggage, providing ample space between seats and at the foot. After being seated and looking at the menu, I was tempted by the seasonal dishes using fresh ingredients, but this time I opted for a simple tempura rice bowl (530 yen). Wow, it's so cheap! It was served in about 7-8 minutes. The tempura rice bowl was topped with freshly fried and hot tempura. It included shrimp, squid, white fish, pumpkin, and green beans - five varieties. The sweet sauce was drizzled over everything. The portion size was impressive. The tempura was crispy and light. It paired well with the rice and sauce. I couldn't stop eating. I was very satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal. The taste was great, and the location is also convenient.

I prioritize fast service when eating at Haneda Airport, so I decided to use this Tenya. The menu was slightly different from other stores, maybe because it's at the airport. First, you purchase a meal ticket from the vending machine in front of the store. I played it safe and got the tempura bowl. The speed of service was super fast. The shrimp was big and satisfying to eat. The sauce wasn't too strong and tasted delicious. There was more than enough rice, and I ended up feeling really full. The sauce wasn't too strong, so I didn't feel too heavy afterwards. Definitely a great chain restaurant.

Unfortunately, my scheduled flight was canceled due to bad weather, so I decided to try this restaurant. The tempura bowl contained large shrimp, conger eel, sandfish, and squid, but the scallop was disappointingly small. However, the tempura bowl with crispy freshly fried tempura and delicious sauce was very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

At Haneda Airport. I managed to slip in before the shops closed early. I was thinking of having a highball, but they were sold out. So, I ended up having soba and tempura. It's nice that the dipping sauce for tempura and soba are separate, and their flavors are different. Thank you for the meal!

The grand menu includes the All-Star Tempura Rice Bowl, but the Sea Treasure Tempura Rice Bowl is said to be a limited menu only available at Haneda Airport. With a price that doesn't exceed 1,000 yen, it's hard to resist. Even the regular size has quite a generous portion. The tempura is crispy as it is served freshly fried. There is tempura sauce on the table, so you can adjust the flavor to your liking. The rice soaked in the sauce is delicious, and you'll finish it in no time. If there is hot tea available, it might make a great combination with the tempura rice bowl.

As it was the last train of the day, many stores were already closed. I was happy to find a place where I could get both tempura and soba. I quickly bought my meal ticket and entered the restaurant. While I usually love katsudon, sometimes tempura don is also nice to have.

I arrived at Haneda Airport by plane on Monday morning around 11 o'clock and had lunch before heading to work. I purchased a meal ticket from a vending machine in the underground area of Haneda Airport Terminal 2, then entered the restaurant. I handed the 790 yen meal ticket for tempura soba to the staff and was served with cold barley tea. It was my first time eating soba at Tenya, and I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the soba. The freshly fried tempura was also delicious. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. Considering the price, the soba had great value for money.

I found a tempura bowl restaurant at the end of B1 in Haneda Airport Terminal 2 in August 2023. The ticket machine is busy during the day, so be prepared to wait in line. The restaurant has a clean interior with a counter and sofa seats. The staff, including cheerful ladies, create a lively atmosphere. You can enjoy tea while waiting. Although tempted by limited-time and airport-exclusive dishes, I always end up ordering the tempura bowl. It comes with shrimp, sweet pumpkin, green beans, and squid with a touch of dried radish pickles. The tempura batter was exceptionally crispy, possibly due to the efficient oil temperature and workflow around 11 a.m. The performance was consistent and satisfying.

I discovered Tenya at the second terminal and decided to try it right away. I don't see it often in Kyushu, so whenever I go to Tokyo, I always end up eating it because it reminds me of the taste. In any case, it's cheap, easy, and delicious. I also appreciate that I can adjust the sauce to my liking.

I had lunch at the airport on my way back from a business trip. It was lunchtime and there was a line waiting. I bought a meal ticket at the vending machine and then lined up. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I entered the restaurant. I ordered the "Kaihou Tendon" which can only be eaten at Haneda Airport. It was a luxurious tendon bowl with conger eel, shrimp, squid, scallops, sandfish, and green beans, packed with plenty of seafood. It took about 10 minutes for the dish to arrive. It's hard to see in the picture, but the conger eel is placed horizontally to resemble an airplane wing. Regardless of the concept, it had the reliable taste of Tenya. I enjoyed it with adding sauce along the way and eating it with the pickled vegetables on the table. Despite the hot summer, the sweet and salty sauce made it appetizing, and I left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied.

After Corona, there are a lot of people and every shop has long lines. Many shops were closed during Corona, so it was difficult to find a place to eat. Now, it's crowded and hard to get in (crying). In times of trouble, I went to Tenya for fast food. The large tempura bowl costs 640 yen. It's reliably delicious at such a low price. As someone about to head out, this really helps. Thank you for the meal.

Hot steaming rice topped with freshly fried tempura, drizzled with special tempura dipping sauce. The order includes shrimp tempura, squid tempura, sandfish tempura, and pumpkin tempura, served with green beans and miso soup. Unlimited pickles are also available, so no need to worry about leftover rice. Located in Haneda Airport Terminal 2, this place rivals Yoshinoya in quality. Price: 560 yen.

Next to Yoshinoya at the airport, there is a tempura restaurant that I have been curious about for a while. I know that tempura is their specialty, but if you just want to fill your stomach, the satisfaction level might be average. It could be a good option when you really crave tempura though.

It was delicious when I tried it after a long time. I'll have the Airport Set, which costs 1050 yen. It includes conger eel, shrimp, green beans, squid, sandfish, and scallop strings, I think? The sauce is delicious. I'll wait for it to be prepared. It will taste even better that way.

When arriving at Haneda Airport's Terminal 2 by monorail, I always struggle with whether to go to Yoshinoya or Tenya. It seems like Yoshinoya is always crowded. I understand that time is limited before the flight takes off. However, Tenya is amazing. It has piping hot rice, crispy tempura, and even shrimp on top, with vegetables too. And when you add the sauce, it's just delicious. A tempura bowl for 560 yen, the price is unbelievable. Tenya is incredible. Thank you, Tenya.

I was shocked to realize that I had never visited "Tenya" since starting to use Tabelog. So, I decided to visit the "Tenya" location at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 for my first review. The restaurant is located on the basement floor next to "Yoshinoya." They offer a special menu called "Kaiho Tendon" (seafood tempura bowl) for 1,050 yen, but I opted for the regular Tendon (large size) for 640 yen. The Tendon included pumpkin, green beans, white fish, squid, and shrimp tempura. The price was reasonable for the amount of food you get, especially considering the generally high prices at Haneda Airport. The tempura sauce was a bit on the light side, so I added more from the table. The miso soup and pickles that come with the set were also delicious. Overall, I was impressed by the quality and value of this chain restaurant.

Tenya actively expands its menu offerings, with a particular fondness for items that suit the season or occasion. The old man joke of "medetai" may be cliché, but it works well here. Customers can trust that they will receive the same reliable service no matter which location they visit. The thorough training provided is evident in the consistent meals served at every branch. This is definitely a go-to choice before departing from Japan. I will definitely use their services again.

After a long time, I had work in Tokyo. I arrived at Haneda from Asahikawa. I decided to have lunch before heading to work. I wasn't sure what to eat since it was lunchtime and everywhere seemed crowded. I decided to try a new restaurant I had never been to before. I purchased a ticket from the machine in front of the store. I didn't know what kind of menu they had, but when I selected the tempura genre, there was a set with soba noodles. I thought small soba noodles would be okay. I ordered the tempura rice bowl and a small soba set for 850 yen. It was cheap. I sat on a chair outside the store and waited for a few minutes. Soon, I was guided inside the store. I was seated at a small counter seat. The interior of the store was clean. I was told I could choose between warm or cold soba noodles. I prefer cold soba noodles, but if it doesn't taste good, warm soba noodles would be better. However, I have noticed that recently, I tend to find the soba noodles at nationwide chain stores tastier than regular soba noodle shops. So this time, I deliberately chose the cold soba noodles. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. It was a substantial portion. There were two large shrimp, pumpkin, lotus root, and green beans (I think). Everything was freshly fried and flavorful. The sauce was good, not too sweet. The soba noodles were delicious! They were on a different level compared to the tempura rice bowl. I was surprised. The soba noodles had a good firmness and were chilled perfectly. The dipping sauce was also just right. And it came with miso soup. All of this for 850 yen! In a regular restaurant, this would feel cheap just for the tempura rice bowl alone. I was amazed. It was a great meal. I would definitely like to visit again.

In early December, I visited Okinawa for a business trip and stopped by "Tendon Tenya" located right by the second terminal station at Haneda Airport before takeoff. It had been 5 years since my last visit to this restaurant! It was midday and the place was almost full. I first purchased a meal ticket from the vending machine outside the store. I chose the "Kaihou Tendon" available only at the airport store for 1,000 yen. Although it is labeled as airport exclusive, I'm not sure if it is available at other "Tendon Tenya" locations outside of Haneda Airport. The tempura bowl consisted of shrimp, squid, scallop, white fish, green beans, and conger eel. As expected, it was delicious. It's quite rare to find a place where you can easily enjoy tempura or tempura bowls, so this place is valuable (laughs). There are plenty of chain restaurants offering gyudon (beef bowl) or katsudon (pork cutlet bowl), so why not tempura?

This is Tenya located at Haneda Airport. It's right by the monorail station. It can get crowded during lunchtime, but they serve food quickly and efficiently. It's a convenient option when you're in a rush to catch a flight. The tempura is best when it's freshly fried. The taste is always reliable.

Today, I am on a day trip to Tokyo. I arrived in the morning and hadn't eaten anything, so I was really hungry. As soon as I got off the train, I headed to this place for soba and tempura. It was a light meal. I still have time before my flight, so I will relax and enjoy my soba and tempura until it's time to head to the airport.
