Here is a restaurant review translated into English: "I always try to make a reservation by phone, but I can't at this restaurant. It's a seafood-focused izakaya called Uoshu, which is always bustling with customers on weekends and weekdays alike. The clientele is quite diverse, with many in their 20s and 30s. This place is particular about creating dishes that bring out the freshness of the fish and seasonal ingredients to make them even more delicious! I've been there a few times and wanted to introduce it here. Please focus on the photos I'm sharing! The uni and ikura tempura with shiso leaves... It looks so delicious that you can expect great taste just by looking at it. And it was indeed incredibly tasty. The sashimi platter is customizable, which is great! They make the best platter based on the number of people and preferences. When the Kasago fish tempura arrived, I was genuinely surprised. It felt like Kasago-san was scolding me the whole time, but it was delicious. The beef tendon simmered in demi-glace is my favorite. It's not about presentation or luxury, but having this with beer makes me happy. Everything else was also very delicious. The chef recommends various dishes based on the day's catch, making the dining experience exciting. It's rare to find a place where you can enjoy such quality at a reasonable price. Thank you for the delicious meal!"

I ordered a set of 10 different kinds of ochoko-don. Each ochoko bowl was small in size, but having 10 of them made me feel too full (lol). Although I found it slightly expensive for lunch, it was delicious. However, it wasn't incredibly delicious to the point of being amazed.

The cute petit seafood bowl was perfect for Instagram, so I decided to make a reservation for the 10-course meal. Even though I had reserved a course, it felt like we were just ordering from the regular menu, which was a bit confusing. I was worried that my partner might find it lacking, but thankfully, with some drinks, it seemed to be enough. While it looked great for photos, I probably won't be coming back for more.

I made a reservation and went with two friends. The restaurant was full, but the atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The fish and sashimi were especially delicious, and I would like to visit again. Thank you very much!

A fun fish-focused izakaya with a lively atmosphere and smoking allowed. I stumbled upon this gem by chance and managed to snag a seat at the counter around 8pm. The place was packed, so I recommend making a reservation for weekends. It's not a fancy place, but sitting at the counter was enjoyable with a showcase of fresh fish and the chef's skillful tamagoyaki preparation. The first dish served was clam soup, which was a nice touch for us drinkers. Feeling bold and having had a few drinks beforehand, I started with a glass of sake poured generously from a shiny tokkuri. The sashimi platter was a great deal and I wish they had explained each piece. The tuna was particularly delicious. The marinated shrimp and firefly squid were must-tries with sake. The shrimp had a sweet and gentle flavor. For the next round of sake, I chose a wooden cup, which had a nice feel in the mouth and looked cute. There were around 10 sake options to choose from, catering to sake enthusiasts. The staff, including foreigners, were all very polite. I didn't eat much that day, so I look forward to making a proper reservation and returning on an empty stomach.

I went out for a meal with my colleagues at a restaurant called "Uoshu" recommended by a friend. I thought it would be mainly focused on fish dishes based on the name, but I was surprised to find that they had a wide variety of menu items beyond just fish. They had pasta, pizza, crab/ikura/uni mille-feuille, beef harami steak, beef tendon stew, roast beef, beef tripe stew, lamb chops, frankfurters, and Napolitan, among others. The fish dishes and Japanese cuisine were delicious as well, with sashimi and tempura being particularly tasty. Personally, I really enjoyed the fried potatoes and drool chicken. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere with good lighting and seating layout. There were plenty of staff members who were efficient and friendly, making it a really wonderful dining experience!

Special Ochoko Donburi Lunch 10 Varieties: - Negitoro Tororo: The combination of negitoro and tororo is delicious, and the addition of crunchy pickled daikon is a plus. The set also comes with white dashi for making ochazuke, which is a nice touch. - Salmon and Ikura Oyakodon: A luxurious oyakodon with avocado accents. This combination is always delicious and a favorite. - Simmered Conger Eel: Simmered conger eel with a sweet and savory sauce, reminiscent of grilled eel with a nice accent of sansho pepper. - Shrimp and Mushroom Ankake: A dish with various types of mushrooms, reminiscent of chawanmushi rice. Reminded me of when I used to sneak rice into chawanmushi and eat it as a child. - Negi Tama Shirasu: A must-try dish for those who love tamago kake gohan (raw egg over rice). The quail egg version is also refreshing. - Eggplant Soboro: Similar to the eggplant soboro donburi I used to make myself, with a sesame seed texture. - Unatama: A visually appealing set with plump and sweet eel in a sweet soy sauce glaze with a hint of sansho leaf aroma. - Tuna Trio: Sweet and melty tuna that makes you want more. The size is just right. - Uni Beef: Roast beef topped with sea urchin. The sauce is surprisingly good and enjoyable. - Buri and Seafood Namero: Fresh and delicious yellowtail with namero. The yellowtail is fresh and tasty, making it a close contender with the tuna. I was planning to rank them, but it's hard to decide. The miso soup and white dashi for making ochazuke are also great. Even though each ochoko is small, after trying all 10 varieties, you'll be full and satisfied.

I was attracted by the variety of seafood bowls available in small sizes, so I visited for lunch. The restaurant is located underground, and when I went down the stairs, there was a line of foreign travelers, but we were able to get in after about 15 minutes. I went with a friend and we ordered 6 different mini bowls and a seafood sashimi set to share. The sashimi set came with unlimited rice refills, which was very satisfying. The mini bowls looked cute and photogenic, and it was nice to be able to try a little bit of various seafood. The pickled vegetables were also delicious as a side. The restaurant was bustling with foreign tourists, and the interior had Japanese-style art on the walls. I think my friends from overseas would be delighted to visit this place!

I wanted to visit this restaurant that I saw on TV. I made a reservation for 12 o'clock opening on a weekday morning. I ordered the popular "ochoko don lunch" with 10 special toppings. The dishes arrived in about 5 minutes, and I unconsciously said, "It's so cute." The mini mini bowl can be eaten in about 3 bites. It has both fish and meat, and each topping is delicious. The combinations of ingredients are elaborate, and each comes with the perfect condiment. I also got to enjoy the dashi tea with the dashi from the tokkuri. I especially liked the "unatama" and "uniku," but everything else was delicious too. Despite thinking it would be mostly women, there were also a lot of foreigners and young male groups.

I wanted to try the specialty ochoko-don on the menu, so I went to this restaurant! I ordered the 8-item set for ¥1980 and my friend ordered the 10-item set for ¥2480. It was nice to be able to taste different flavors in each bite. Of course, the actual volume of ingredients was much larger than the menu illustration! It wasn't exceptionally delicious nor terribly bad, but it was good enough for a lunch outing with friends to enjoy different flavors and have something to talk about. I checked on Tabelog and since it seemed like they didn't have a lunch break, I called ahead to ask if we could come in at any time. They said it was okay until 3 pm, but since there weren't many people that day, they might take a break. So, we went at 2 pm. When we arrived, the staff at the entrance asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, they immediately said, "We don't accept walk-ins." I explained that I had called ahead, and fortunately the male staff who answered the phone remembered and let us in. However, I wouldn't expect much from the service provided by the part-time staff, so it might not be the best place for a second visit. It was disappointing because I was looking forward to it. The style of being immediately turned away upon entering really dampened the mood and made it hard to enjoy the meal, so I'd prefer not to experience that again. I felt like saying, "Sorry for coming, sorry for ordering, we'll leave now," and ended up leaving after about 40 minutes.

I opted for the Premium set which came with 8 different types of sashimi. I think I should have gone for the Special set with 10 types to feel more satisfied. The sashimi selection was varied and looked appealing, perfect for women. While the cost performance was not the best, the meal was enjoyable. Thank you for the feast.

On a certain weekday night, six girls who love alcohol gathered for a drinking party♪ Work didn't finish as expected, and it was supposed to be an overtime day, but... gatherings like this with fun girls are rare!!! Passing on the piled up work to myself tomorrow, I eagerly headed to Shibuya (●´ϖ`●)♡ One of my drinking buddies recommended this place as the venue for the night. The name of the restaurant includes "fish," so it's a seafood-focused place☆ The wall inside the restaurant boldly states "Tokyo Shibuya's fish shop where carefully selected delicious fish chosen by a connoisseur are lined up," showing the confidence of the restaurant. Alcohol-loving girls are also particular about the side dishes... not really, but (laughs) the dishes we order naturally end up being seafood dishes that go well with alcohol (⌒▽⌒) First, let's moisten our throats with a highball toast (not beer intentionally) while choosing our appetizers. ◯Seafood Vegetable Salad Starting with an appetizer, but we girls order appetizers that can also be enjoyed as side dishes. Seafood salad often only has a little octopus when ordered at other restaurants, but here, it includes various types of fish such as tuna, shrimp, salmon, and salmon roe, making it a proper side dish! With flower petals scattered on top adding a touch of elegance, we can expect the following dishes to be great as well (・∀・)! ◯Octopus with Wasabi ◯Sweet Shrimp Marinated in Miso ◯Broiled Monkfish Liver with Ponzu Sauce ◯Grilled Crab Misu on Shell Unanimously agreed, this is the perfect choice for a drinking party. Each dish seems to be prepared in-house rather than being pre-made. Especially the grilled crab miso on the shell is irresistible. With only one for six people, we had to share (fight for it) (^o^;) The first drink was a modest highball, but when such delicious dishes arrived, of course, the next drink will be sake! We have a lineup of sake brands that are specifically chosen to go with the fish dishes, including Shinsei, Kokuryu, Kariho, Shunroku, Dojinsai, Senkin, and Gikou... Not a fancy selection but a lineup of brands that are perfect for fish dishes. Let's start with the dry Shunroku and Kariho. It was unusual and fun to see all six girls drinking sake. We ordered a tokkuri, and we were allowed to choose our favorite ochoko. There were over 20 types of ochoko available. It was fun to choose our favorite sake cups while chatting and laughing (← I sound old, revealing that I am the oldest in this group). From here on, the real fun begins with sake! Side dishes also accelerate as we go along \(^o^)/ ◯Assorted 7 Kinds of Sashimi Salmon, Yellowtail, Octopus, Red Gurnard, Alfonsino, etc... Sorry, I couldn't keep up with taking notes, but I remember that it was delicious. The appearance is also lavish, with shiso leaves and perilla leaves adding a nice touch. As someone from the west, it was nice to see yellowtail in the assortment. Since we had a group of people, we ordered the 7 kinds assortment, but you can order a 5 kinds assortment (2 or 3 pieces) depending on the number of people. I recommend trying this (^O^) ◯Grilled Blowfish Grilled blowfish!? Who ordered that!? (laughs) And it even came to the table with a grill, allowing us to grill it slowly on the table. It seems to be one of the specialties here. It looked delicious even when raw, so I felt it was a shame to grill it, but the faintly grilled aroma and eating grilled blowfish with ponzu sauce was a nice touch (*^^*) ◯Assorted Tempura Bragging Rights Here it comes! A voluminous side dish. But with this number of people and alcohol, we finished it in no time. I had shrimp and conger eel tempura, and with plenty of seafood in the tempura, I was satisfied (^q^) I've been drinking sake all along, and I don't know how many times we ordered additional drinks. Have we gone through the entire sake menu!? Nevertheless, we continue to drink and enjoy ourselves (;´∀`) ◯Seafood Namerou ◯Grilled Soybeans ◯Ratatouille Omelette ◯Beef Tendon Demi-Glace Stew From this point on, my memory is fuzzy. Why did the grilled soybeans come when they weren't listed on the menu!? But with adult-like side dishes, everyone was thoroughly satisfied. I had a hard time remembering from here. The dishes were not listed on the menu, but the grilled soybeans were a nice touch. The dishes were voluminous and everyone was delighted. The Ratatouille Omelette ===========

The delicious fish chosen by the discerning Hideo at "TOKYO FISHERMAN'S WHARF Uoshu"! A restaurant that I keep coming back to! Starting with a highball toast, the appetizer of clam soup is a hit with drinkers. The sashimi platter is a must-order, and it's truly amazing to be able to eat such quality fish in Shibuya. This time, we had yellowtail, kanpachi, akahata, buri, onikasago, salmon and ikura, and octopus. The seafood salad with plenty of sashimi is also a hit with the ladies. They pay attention to both presentation and taste, which is great. On this day, we gathered girls who love sake, so we drank a surprising amount of sake. The cute sake cups were plentiful, and everyone had a hard time choosing. The selection of snacks, such as seafood, was quite substantial and perfect for sake drinkers. The lineup of sake was also wonderful. By the way, I heard that there are no sake lovers who dislike seafood, but I wonder if that's true. Personally, I love both. The specialty grilled blowfish is also recommended. It's cooked slowly on a grill and it's delicious. The menu is extensive, and we ordered quite a lot, but there are still many options left to try. There are also Italian dishes available. What we had: sashimi platter, grilled blowfish, UOHIDE's famous tempura platter, crab miso shell grill, seafood salad, ankimo with ponzu sauce, ratatouille, omurice, new potato with butter, seafood namero, etc. This restaurant is one of the few with a smoking area, which may be appreciated by smokers. If you feel like enjoying fish and sake in Shibuya, this is the place to go! It was a fantastic girls' night out. Thank you for the meal!

The mini-chirashi bowl available only during lunchtime is very popular. When I visited on the weekend, there were two groups ahead of me. Special Mini-Chirashi Bowl Lunch for 2480 yen includes 10 kinds of chirashi, seaweed miso soup, and pickles. It's nice to be able to enjoy various flavors in small portions with the mini-chirashi bowl. The volume is perfect for girls to eat it all up easily. However, the ingredients are not the freshest or the best value for the price. But if you want to try a variety of sashimi and Japanese dishes, I recommend it.

I finally tried the ochoko lunch set I've been wanting to try - it comes with 10 different kinds of dishes. I wasn't sure if I could finish them all, but they were all delicious and I finished them in no time. The negitoro and anago tempura were particularly tasty! The variety of dishes means it may take around 30 minutes for them to be served, but the restaurant was not crowded when I went, so it was fine. Just be aware that it may take longer when the restaurant is busy.

I had been curious about Ochoko-don after seeing it on Instagram, so my friend took me to a place where they said, "If you want Ochoko-don, this place is delicious!" They ordered the luxurious Ochoko-don lunch set with 10 different kinds for 2,480 yen. The assortment included a variety of sashimi, fish dishes like unagi-tamago and simmered anago, and popular choices like salmon-avocado and uni (sea urchin) bowls. The set came with three types of sauces: soy sauce, kaki-jyoyu, and a Japanese-style dashi broth on the side, which you could use to make ochazuke. I tried a few combinations, but the white fish with negi (green onion) and mentaiko (spicy cod roe) seemed to be the best match with the broth! I particularly enjoyed dipping the negi-toro (fatty tuna with green onion) and akami (lean tuna) in kaki-jyoyu sauce. The salmon-avocado bowl was also delicious, and I definitely want to try making the sweet and savory sauce at home (lol). The squid and ikura (salmon roe) bowl was filled with tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) and quail eggs, but it was also very tasty. Each bowl came with regular white rice, but changing the type of rice could enhance the unique flavors of each dish. For example, using vinegared rice for sashimi bowls or adding a thick unagi sauce to eel dishes. Each serving was small, but with 10 different bowls, it was quite filling! It seemed like the perfect place to enjoy with a beer, but be careful not to overeat! They also had a counter seating area, so it was suitable for solo female diners or those looking for a casual drink and snack during the day. It was a bit nerve-wracking to be in Shibuya after a long time, but thanks to my friend, I had a delightful lunch experience. Thank you for the meal! ♫

The tokkuri is placed on the table, but I'm not drinking from it during the day~ (although I want to...haha) I had a mini-chirashi lunch. What I love the most is that you can try various types in small portions! When I go to a restaurant for a seafood bowl, don't you find it quite difficult to choose just one type? I'm the type who immediately asks my companions for a bite. They don't like it...haha, so I try not to do it too often these days (^-^; Can you forgive me? How about you? You can choose from 6, 8, or 10 types of courses. This time I chose the 10 types [Special Mini-Chirashi Lunch] for 2,480 yen (tax included). Even though it's mini, the ingredients are substantial, allowing you to fully enjoy the seafood. Even though it's small, the content is solid...that kind of dish. Salmon avocado yukke, shrimp and crab mix, creamy kimchi with toro, white fish and green onion mentaiko, simmered conger eel tempura, today's recommendation (on this day it was tuna sashimi on rice), squid and salmon roe, eel and egg, sea urchin and egg, tuna assortment. Wow, being able to eat all of these at once is happiness! You can eat it as it is, or pour white dashi from the tokkuri and enjoy it like ochazuke. I thought it was called ochoko-don because you eat little by little, but I realized after finishing eating. The bowl was actually a large ochoko! It was a cute and irresistible lunch for seafood lovers ♥️

I don't usually go to the backstreets of Shibuya, but I was wandering around there with a friend and got lured in by a sign to this place. As we descended the stairs to the basement entrance, we were greeted by rows of sake and shochu. Even though I felt like having a drink, I ordered a highball. The appetizer was clam soup (300 yen). For food, we ordered seafood namero (580 yen), a sashimi platter with 7 varieties for 2 people (2380 yen), and beef tendon simmered in demiglace sauce (680 yen, with the option to add bread for 200 yen). The sashimi was delicious, but the slices were a bit small. Other than that, it was okay, considering it's Shibuya. I wonder if it's more suitable for younger people. The restaurant allows smoking and is spacious.

I tried this place because it was recommended as a place where you can enjoy small portions of various rice bowls. I was a bit worried about whether I could finish it, so I ordered the Standard Course with 6 different rice bowls for ¥1480. The lunch set also looked delicious. The food arrived quite quickly and each mini rice bowl, about 5 cm in diameter, looked beautiful on the tray. Each seafood rice bowl had its own unique flavor and was delicious! The freshness was also good, so the white fish sashimi had a nice texture. Today's special was a shirasu (baby sardine) rice bowl, so I had it as ochazuke (rice in tea). It was surprisingly small in quantity, so I could have probably tried all 10 varieties. Thank you for the meal.
