Enjoyed "Sendai beef yakiniku" at Ushitei in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. The nearest station is JR Gotanda Station. This yakiniku restaurant offers a variety of black wagyu beef, with a focus on Sendai beef. Started with a draft Asahi Super Dry beer (medium size). Then, tried the premium wagyu nigiri sushi (2 pieces). The balance between the lean meat and rice was perfect! Next, grilled dishes! Assorted tongue salt. Assortment of thick-cut tongue, negi-tan, and tongue salt! First, tried the tongue salt. It was moist and tender with a nice texture! Next, the negi-tan. A unique style with minced leeks wrapped in tongue and skewered. The crunchy texture of the tongue and the crispy leeks made it delicious! And the thick-cut tongue. It was tender yet had a satisfying chewiness! Limited quantity! Rare cuts assortment set. Assortment of Sendai beef sirloin, fillet, kalbi, subton, and premium harami. The presentation was impressive! Sirloin. A harmonious blend of robust lean meat and sweet meat juices! Harami. The fibers melted in the mouth with a satisfying crunch! Makki. Tender with a fine texture! Fillet. The umami of the lean meat paired perfectly with wasabi! Tomosankaku. The meat juices dripping before even tasting it were irresistible! Kalbi. The perfect balance of texture and flavor! Also, Sendai beef sirloin (BMS12). Crispy on the outside with a flood of juiciness inside! Absolutely irresistible! Finished with Komutan Kuppa. I have been going to this restaurant since the first day it opened. Back when there were not many yakiniku restaurants in Gotanda besides Oyama Restaurant. I have been to many famous yakiniku restaurants, but after going to Gyutei, this place became the standard for me. It is unfortunate that they will be closing the Gotanda branch on October 20th, but I respect their decision. I will start going to the main branch from now on. This restaurant is truly a place where the owner's dedication shines through. I used to frequent a famous restaurant in Ginza, but this place clearly surpasses it.

Gotanda Yakiniku [Ushitei] - They handle Miyagi prefecture's Sendai beef. I think they have good quality meat, but it was a bit too fatty for me and I couldn't finish it. They also offer lunch, which seems really nice. The downside was that the fire was a bit weak. I visited because I was craving for Negi Shio Tan. The Sendai beef tongue was juicy and delicious, the best. The staff kindly allowed us to bring in a cake and even set up candles for us, which was very touching. We were able to celebrate safely and were very satisfied. Thank you very much! If you love beef tongue, I highly recommend going here. The white rice is also incredibly delicious.

I think Gotanda is surprisingly a fierce battleground for yakiniku restaurants, but this place is often visited for a relaxing meal in a private room. It has a decent sense of luxury and is quite user-friendly. The cost performance is pretty good, considering the location in Gotanda. We started with a platter, and everything was delicious, but I especially liked the fillet. I wanted to eat more fillet, but unfortunately they didn't have it as a single item. I would like to visit again. Thank you!

I visited this restaurant for the first time for Sunday lunch (around 1:30pm) due to a sudden visit. The restaurant was empty. The limited quantity lunch set was sold out, so I ordered the 1500 yen lunch instead. The taste and tenderness of the meat were average, but the vegetables were lacking in flavor - just a bland kakuteki and namul (only bean sprouts) along with a cabbage salad.

One of the top brand beef in Japan is Sendai beef, which is known for its strict grading system where only A5 or B5 rank is guaranteed. I visited a restaurant that serves Sendai beef for lunch, and they had a discount on their menu. Sendai Beef Kalbi Lunch ¥1500 → ¥1300. The restaurant is located on the 5th floor of a building, and there were a few groups of customers ahead of me at the cashier. The entrance had a display of certificates for purchasing Sendai beef, including the Best Award-winning cattle. After a short wait, I was seated at a spacious table with a capacity of around 50 people. The staff was polite but seemed a bit overwhelmed. The table had a built-in charcoal grill for cooking. I ordered the discounted Kalbi lunch, and soon a set of rice, salad, wakame soup, kakuteki, and namul of bean sprouts and spinach were served. Rice was free for one refill. A few minutes later, the beef arrived - 7 decent-sized slices of high-quality Sendai beef. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat, which was beyond what I expected for a lunch menu. The quantity was just right, and the overall value for money was impressive. I enjoyed the meal with the side dishes and rice, and it was a great deal for ¥1300. Thank you for the meal.

[Overall] - A yakiniku restaurant located between Gotanda Station and Osaki-Hirokoji Station - Lunch menu was discounted on the outdoor sign (1500 yen → 1100 yen, 1000 yen → 800 yen) - Around 30% full on a holiday around 1 pm - Specialty is Sendai beef, with many thank-you letters from related organizations displayed - There is a speaker in the men's restroom playing music [Dishes] - B Lunch for 800 yen *discounted price - B Lunch includes kalbi, liver, and pork loin. Upgrading to A Lunch replaces kalbi with loin. There are around 10 lunch menu options, so you can find your favorite combination. Comes with salad, wakame soup, namul, and rice. It's nice to be able to taste 3 types of meat at this price. A satisfying lunch experience.

I visited the restaurant because a friend recommended it as being delicious. The Sendai beef was the main dish and it was truly delicious. The marbling was high quality and sweet, making it perfect with alcohol and rice. The side dishes, soup, and drinks were all well-prepared, and I had a fun and delicious time. Thank you for the meal. We visited the restaurant on a regular night with just the two of us. The place was about 80% full, so we were able to easily get a table. We started with a toast with sweet potato shochu. For the meat, we ordered the daily assorted platter which included sirloin, a special rare cut, zabuton, kainomi, and premium harami. The special rare cut was said to be from the loin. We were served cherry tomatoes with a gochujang-based sauce as a complimentary appetizer. While waiting for the meat, we had a salad which was delicious but the lettuce was too big to eat comfortably. When the meat arrived, we grilled and enjoyed each piece one by one. Each cut had a different texture and quality, but we started to get a bit tired of the fat after a while. We ordered some liver as an extra to change up the flavors. We also tried the meat sushi, which surprisingly was quite refreshing. All the meat was delicious, but maybe due to age, we found ourselves satisfied after just one piece of each and ended up giving the rest to our companion. I don't want to get old...

This time, I went to Gyutei Gotanda. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, and the staff were friendly and provided attentive service. I felt like having yakiniku for lunch, so I decided to look around the Gotanda area and try it out. While the dinner course at this place is quite pricey, starting from 8,000 yen, the lunch menu offers more affordable options. The meat here is cut thick, unlike other yakiniku places, and has a satisfying texture. It's tender, juicy, and easy to eat. The salad and kimchi were also delicious. I'm looking forward to coming back for some horumon while enjoying drinks in the evening next time. This place is great for small celebrations or special events. I highly recommend visiting. I think this restaurant in Gotanda, where there are many yakiniku restaurants, is of a pretty high level. The interior of the restaurant has a familiar atmosphere like a family restaurant, and there is plenty of space between the seats, so you can relax and sit comfortably. This is a recommended restaurant for when you want to eat higher quality meat than usual yakiniku. I tried ordering the highest grade A5 rank Sendai beef, and the color is vivid and the aroma when grilled is amazing. The soft texture when you put it in your mouth is sure to become addictive once you try it.
