I finally visited Hikarimono Sushi and Izakaya in Roppongi, which I had been curious about for a while. I was pleasantly surprised by the cost performance. If you want to enjoy reasonably priced counter sushi in Roppongi, I recommend this place. They offer a total of 20 types of appetizers and sushi, alternating between the two, for just under 10,000 yen. The carefully prepared ingredients are very delicious and will leave you feeling satisfied. The restaurant is run by Sato, from the meat and sushi restaurant eat in Azabu-Juban, who personally prepares the sushi. They also have a wide variety of Japanese sake. It was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

Sushi restaurants under 10,000 yen are something I always want to try. This particular restaurant was started as a limited-time venture by the owner of a famous restaurant, but ended up continuing for various reasons. The restaurant has a high level of online literacy, allowing for online reservations and not accepting cash payments, which is currently a bit challenging. However, with the high penetration of barcode payments overseas, I feel like this style may become common in the near future. The location of the restaurant is right near Nogizaka Station, along the road connecting Shinjuku and Midtown. It was not too crowded on a weekday, with about half of the large counter seats empty. The man standing behind the sushi counter looked familiar, and it turned out to be the owner, Satokan. The course was omakase only, and surprisingly, the restaurant does not seem to focus much on luxury ingredients. The sushi was decent, with slightly tangy red vinegar in the rice, providing enough support for the toppings. While the sushi may feel a bit lacking, the quality of the ingredients makes up for it. It was bold to include ingredients like swordfish, which was delicious. What stood out the most were the appetizers, which were exceptionally tasty. It truly felt like a Japanese-oriented restaurant. The grilled swordfish was a bit tough, but still enjoyable. The alcohol selection was trendy and priced on the higher side. I ended up with a green tea highball. The a la carte menu seemed interesting, so I tried the fatty tuna and cold noodles. The fatty tuna was okay, but the cold noodles had a strong umami flavor and were simply delicious. I never thought I would have the opportunity to try sushi made by Satokan, so it was a valuable experience. Despite not having formal sushi training, the sushi was delicious enough to showcase the restaurant's unique characteristics, making it an enjoyable dining experience.

We made a reservation on Tabelog the day before and visited with 2 people at 17:30 on a holiday. We reserved for the 9800 yen course. There were 2 other groups of 4 people at the opening time. The interior of the restaurant had a slightly dirty feel. We ordered a white bottle of wine from Portugal for 6800 yen and a red bottle from Australia for 8500 yen. The dishes were a mix of snacks and sushi, which is a unique style. If the quality of the sushi improves, it would be amazing. It's a valuable restaurant that can be paired with wine, so I hope they do their best.

(Drinks) Sparkling Wine ¥1200, Shimane Ouroku ¥1200, Boiled Octopus, Horse Mackerel Fry, Squid, Horse Mackerel, Yellowtail, Karasumi, Sea Bream, Grilled Eel Hand Roll, Sea Urchin Sushi, Salt-Grilled Sea Bream, Lean Tuna, Medium Fatty Tuna, Conger Eel, Red Miso Soup. The Horse Mackerel Fry was like nothing I've ever had before! The flesh was rare or raw, and it was so impressive when eaten with salt and wasabi. The Squid Roll was light and refreshing with the addition of plum. The Grilled Eel Hand Roll had soft and melty eel! The Sea Urchin was so amazing that I can't remember it. 2023/8 "Surprisingly, there are few restaurants that are as user-friendly as this one" by Akiton (..) Sushi restaurant "Hikarimono Sushi and Tsumami" ✨✨ "I want to offer popular 'town sushi' in a high-quality space," and they have achieved a cost performance of less than 10,000 yen in a prime location in Roppongi. It is a newly listed Michelin restaurant for the 2024 edition. This is a new business style opened in the summer of 2021 by Sato Kan, who has also worked on Shibuya's "Shokkan" and Azabu-Juban's "eat iito". The restaurant opened in July 2021. It is located on the first floor of an apartment building a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Nogizaka Station. The bright space features a white wooden L-shaped counter. The counter seats are full even on weekdays. It's been a while since I had sushi. I had read about this place in a magazine before and the prices were reasonable, so I was planning to visit. One good thing about this place is that they serve the dishes at a good pace. I'm sure they put a lot of thought into each dish they serve. Other than that, nothing else really stood out to me.

The dishes and sushi were served in a well-balanced manner and were really delicious. The portion was larger than expected, and I was stuffed by the end. I could feel the dedication put into each small dish and sushi. The recommended pairing with sake was delightful. The update on sushi in the Roppongi Akasaka area is not ready yet! But it's true that there are quite a few high-level restaurants where you don't have to pay 30,000 or 50,000 yen. This is one of those places. Despite the name "Hikarimono," it's not a specialty store for shiny items. You can enjoy various types of sushi here. What's great is that they offer both "omakase" and "okonomi" options. Such restaurants are not commonly heard of in Roppongi, even though there are many sushi restaurants. It's a place where adults can casually enjoy themselves. On this day, we went for the omakase course. The nigiri included horse mackerel, kohada, and shiny fish. After that, grilled dishes, fried dishes, and other appetizers were served in a well-balanced manner. We drank heartily and it came to about 15,000 yen per person. It's incredibly cost-effective. The nigiri is solid and the appetizers are delicious. Highly recommended!

This sushi restaurant had the best cost performance! The hikarimaki (rolled sushi) in particular was exquisite! The chef explained each dish in detail while skillfully preparing them in front of us. The atmosphere was also fantastic. We enjoyed a quiet adult time savoring sake and sushi at the counter seats. I will definitely visit again!

I made a reservation for Thursday at 1 p.m. and visited the stylish restaurant with plaster walls. The clientele seemed to be mostly young people. I ordered the 3900 yen sushi course with 7 pieces of sushi, appetizers, and clam ramen. The sushi included horse mackerel, bonito, lean tuna, medium fatty tuna, kohada, yellowtail, herring, and a roll with shiny fish. The vinegar rice was warm and well-balanced, and the shiny fish was nicely seasoned with vinegar. I especially enjoyed the bonito and lean tuna. The roll with shiny fish had well-seasoned fillings and was refreshing and delicious. The clam ramen for the finale was more like udon than ramen. The clams were cooked perfectly, and the broth was delicious. I thought it would be even better with a noodle dish like simmered noodles. I'd like to try the higher course next time. I heard that they specialize in shiny sushi and have good value for money. I tried the course with appetizers and nigiri for 9900 yen. The drinks start from 700 yen. I ended up drinking quite a bit, so I was worried about the final bill, but it turned out to be surprisingly cheap. I wish the vinegar flavor was a bit stronger, but overall I was very satisfied.

I was surprised to hear jazz music playing. What surprised me even more was that all three staff members were women. I know there are some restaurants with all-female staff, but it was still unexpected. Even though it was a weekday, the restaurant seemed busy. The dishes alternated between appetizers and sushi, and I naturally had high expectations for the "Hikarimono" mentioned in the restaurant's name. The actual "Hikarimono" dishes included "Me Hikari" (tempura), horse mackerel, "Hikari Maki" (sardine), mackerel, and small skin flounder, so the emphasis wasn't solely on "Hikarimono." When I think about which dish was the most delicious, it has to be the clam! The clams were the highlight. I heard they also serve ramen, which makes sense. I have high hopes for this restaurant in the future!

The name of the shop is "Hikarimono" in Katakana, and the owner mentioned that the name is meant to highlight everything with light. They have a decent selection of sake, as well as wine at reasonable prices. On this day, we ordered the evening course menu "Omakase Sushi and Appetizer Course 18 Items," where we were served a few appetizers and sushi dishes alternately. We started with sparkling wine, then the recommended sake to pair with the dishes, and ended with a soup.

I went to a high-end sushi restaurant for the first time, so it's difficult to compare with other sushi restaurants. As someone who has been to many dining establishments, I must say it was really really good. First of all, it was delightful to see the chef filleting fish, making sushi, and preparing each dish right in front of us. It made me realize that freshly made sushi is the most delicious. The chef prepared 18 different dishes at our pace, allowing us to fully focus on the food without rushing. I was initially anxious about not being familiar with high-end sushi restaurants, but it turned out to be unnecessary worry. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers. Despite being a high-end sushi restaurant with a classy atmosphere, it is not overly formal, and there is plenty of room for conversation with the staff. This made it easy for me to ask basic questions like "Why is the rice slightly colored?" or "How should I eat this?" which was very helpful for someone like me who is not accustomed to sushi restaurants. The luxury of being able to enjoy 18 different sushi and appetizers is incredible. The menu changes with the seasons, so I definitely want to visit again. I especially recommend it to those who usually think they are satisfied with mainstream conveyor belt sushi restaurants.

It was a comfortable restaurant, not too quiet or too noisy. The snacks and sushi were not surprisingly delicious, but still tasty. Unlike high-end traditional sushi restaurants that only offer beer or sake, this place has a wide variety of drinks. You can enjoy a meal while drinking whatever you feel like at the time. Tempura is also delicious at this sushi restaurant!! I am so happy to have found a sushi restaurant that offers a course combining my two favorite things, sushi and tempura! The group behind Shokkan and Eat Azabu-Juban offers a course in Roppongi called "Hikarimono Sushi and Tsumami" for 9900 yen including tax. The evening course has three options: 1) 18 tsumami and nigiri for 9900 yen, 2) 10 selected nigiri for 9900 yen, and 3) 10 selected tsumami for 9900 yen. They are open from 6 pm to 11 pm. The sushi and tsumami were not particularly memorable, and I personally felt like it was more of an extension of izakaya or casual sushi restaurants. However, the ease of getting a seat even on the same day, the staggered start times, the fact that it is a counter sushi course for under 10,000 yen in Roppongi, and the option for a la carte menu all make it a convenient and user-friendly restaurant. The "Omakase Course with 18 Tsumami and Nigiri for 9900 yen" includes boiled octopus, salt-grilled cutlassfish, firefly squid, shabu-shabu style flounder, amberjack, mackerel, tempura with shiso, horse mackerel, tamagoyaki, sardine roll, akami toro, tuna negima, kajiki, tuna, anago, and miso soup.

I heard about this place, Hikarimono, which was supposed to be a limited-time shop. It is an offshoot of the regular at Azabu-Juban, eat, and I had been curious about it for a while. I was thrilled to find out that they are still open even after the limited period ended, so I eagerly went to visit. The counter, which surrounds the chefs, has a total of 18 seats, similar to eat, where you can also sit inside the counter. The course meal started with octopus and clam soup, followed by a hybrid of 10 pieces of sushi and appetizers. The sushi rice with a strong vinegar flavor is highly praised. I think women might get quite full. The smiles and service from the female staff were also lovely, making it a fantastic experience. I will definitely be coming back.

The inside of the restaurant has a circular counter with seats, as well as tables that can accommodate four people. The location of the restaurant is far from the station, so please be aware of that. The sushi here is all really delicious. In the course of the meal, there are also appetizers served, and they are also really tasty which went well with the sake. There are many different types of sake available. With the appetizers and generous portions, I was completely satisfied. The food was so delicious that I would like to visit again.

There is a sushi restaurant near the National Art Center. The dinner sushi course seems to be very cost-effective. During lunchtime, they offer a tempura set meal for 1,800 yen. It starts with bonito and salad, followed by 8 types of tempura including shrimp, mushrooms, and sweet potato. The tempura was okay. You can have seconds of rice and red miso soup. The location seems to frequently change restaurants, starting with Sushikaikai, then a Japanese restaurant (I forgot the name...), and now Hikarimono. Money spent: 1,800 yen.
