It was a special day when plans were hard to come by, so I was grateful for the semi-private room. I ordered the meatball rice for lunch, which was delicious with plenty of cheese and herbs. I also ordered the carrot cake with a message plate, which was also very tasty. The Nitro coffee with fluffy nitrogen foam was refreshing and tasted like cold brew coffee. The staff were lovely with beautiful smiles, very cute, and quick-witted, making me feel at ease.

Visited the second stop of the Kanda Curry Street Food Tour Stamp Rally 2023. Arrived a little before 12 pm on a weekday, with one customer already on the first floor. It's a pay-first shop. Looked at the menu at the register, with two curry options: Vegan Keema Rice for 950 yen and Mackerel Curry Rice for 950 yen. Ordered the latter with a salad set (+150 yen). Since it comes with a drink, I asked for iced coffee. They mentioned there is also a second floor, but we sat at a two-person table at the back of the first floor. After a 4-minute wait, the Mackerel Curry Rice, soup, salad, and iced coffee arrived. Milk and gum syrup need to be picked up from the self-service corner. The Mackerel Curry is served on Japanese rice with fried onions on top and carrot rapé on the side. The salad consists of lettuce and tomatoes with French dressing. The portions are quite small. The soup is a light-tasting tomato soup. The Mackerel Curry is spicy with a moderate acidity. It contains mackerel and tomatoes. It's a tasty Mackerel Curry. I'll try the Vegan Keema Rice next time. I tried the Vegan Keema Curry with a salad and naan butter topping. It also comes with soup and a drink. The soup was a refreshing tomato soup with a minestrone-like taste. The Keema had a butter chicken-like flavor, with a creamy texture. Even though it's made with soy meat, it still has a Keema-like taste and the creamy flavor adds to its satisfying taste. With the toppings, it's a curry plate that allows you to get plenty of vegetables. It turned out to be a healthy lunch option.

The cafe attached to the first floor of the APA Hotel is convenient for breakfast, lunch, and takeout. The menu is simple and offers a variety of options that don't get boring. Being able to get coffee to go is also convenient.

I used to have breakfast at "PIZZA Bar 88 Kanda" but it seems to have closed down. I didn't get a chance to visit before it closed. However, a new place called "WHIZ CAFE" has opened, and they serve breakfast for hotel guests. I ordered the "Egg Salad Sandwich" and a "Hot Coffee" and paid with PayPay. The coffee was light and easy to drink, and the sandwich was filled with egg salad and coleslaw, with a mild flavor. Overall, it was delicious.

Visit around 1:30 pm on a regular day. It's within walking distance of about 10 minutes from Iwamotocho Station. Order and pay at the first floor counter of the café attached to the APA Hotel. The recommended dish is mackerel curry, which comes with a drink and dessert for 1200 yen. There are seats on the first and second floors, with the second floor having only table seats, which are more relaxing. If you wait at your favorite seat, the staff will bring the food to your table. The meal is arranged with rice in the center, surrounded by various side dishes. The mushrooms and vegetables are well balanced, visually appealing, and seem like they will be easy to eat. Even for someone with a small appetite like me, the portion is just right. The curry is of a light type, falling into the category of spiced curry. I felt the aroma of cumin quite strongly, perhaps playing a role in masking the fishy smell of mackerel, making it easy to eat with the flaked mackerel in the canned fish. The spiciness is moderate, similar to medium spiciness in Japanese curry. It might be a bit underwhelming for those who prefer it spicier. The dessert is coffee jelly with whipped cream. It has a soft texture. I accidentally ordered coffee for my drink, showing how much I love coffee. At this time, there were only 1-2 other customers dining alone. The background music is playing, creating a quiet and calming atmosphere. The staff's service is polite and leaves a good impression. It's a place where you can have a peaceful lunch alone without feeling out of place.

I have repeated a few times, but here I have ordered several types of food, drinks, and sweets, all of which are delicious and high quality. I can feel the creator's sense in each dish! I stayed overnight so I purchased it the day before for 1100 yen, which was 1300 yen at the time. I could choose from four types of hot sandwiches with plenty of ingredients. I chose the avocado and salmon sandwich. It seemed like many others also chose the avocado and salmon. The meatball, pork, and egg sandwiches all looked delicious too. Whiz Cafe opened on May 15, 2022, on the 1st and 2nd floors of Apa Hotel Kanda Ekimae Higashi, where PIZZA Bar 88 used to be. According to the cafe's website, "whiz" is a shortened form of "whizz," which is an onomatopoeic word for the sound of something speeding by. "Whiz" also means expert or master, so the cafe aims to be a place for experts. The pronunciation of "whiz" is similar to "with," so the cafe's name also conveys the idea of sharing fun, happiness, and deliciousness together. The 1st floor has only counter seats, while the 2nd floor has a party space. I stopped by after seeing congratulatory flowers in front of the Apa Hotel. The owner welcomed me, and I tried the MURAKAMI SEVEN IPA (Small) for 600 yen, which was delicious and had a strong flavor. Next, I tried the Brooklyn Defender IPA (Medium) for 800 yen, which was a Golden IPA from Brooklyn Brewery. It seems they handle Kirin products. Although there was only one staff member that day, they mentioned having a chef and a coffee specialist. If the chef is present, they offer Ayurvedic cuisine. Overall, it seems like a convenient and versatile cafe.

I used to have lunch meetings quite frequently at a cafe in Kanda, and I heard that starting from July 1st, they have started serving dinner as well. So, I decided to go and try it out. During lunch, service was provided by a tall, energetic young man, an American chef, and a long-haired female staff member. For dinner, the bartender with long hair tied up and a petite female chef took care of us. I was surprised to see that the dinner menu was more extensive than I had expected, with appetizers, steaks, paella, and fried foods available. Moreover, the dishes looked quite authentic from the photos. The drink menu consisted of classic cocktails and highballs, but they were well-made by the bartender and tasted delicious. Although I only intended to have light snacks, I didn't eat much, but I would like to come back with friends for a drinking session if given the chance. They apparently operate as a bar from 11 pm to 5 am.

The curry menu had all the health benefits listed, which was good. The cafe attached to the Apa Hotel was stylish. Since I don't like spicy food, I should have ordered a sandwich instead of curry. When I checked for spiciness, they said it was Keema curry, but curry is usually spicy, right? The carrot side dish was sweet like a carrot salad. The ginger tea (hot) was also delicious.

Staff who are calm and provide good service make it easy to relax and enjoy your time there.
