I learned about the procurement of tuna and other seafood directly from the head chef of the famous seafood restaurant "Kisaiichi" in front of Kyoto Station, which is no longer there. As a restaurant that continues the legacy of Kisaiichi, it is well-known among seafood enthusiasts. On days off, the chef goes fishing himself and serves the fish he caught. The sashimi he served today was surprisingly large and truly delicious. The recommended menu item, horse sashimi, was generously marbled and plentiful, and very tasty. Most of the typical izakaya menu items are priced at only 380 yen, which was surprisingly reasonable. The taste and portion size exceeded expectations for the price of 380 yen. I was worried about how they can sustain their business in Kyoto at this price. The cost performance is too good! I heard that they update their Instagram with daily posts of the day's sashimi and recommended menu items, so I would like to visit again on a day when they have otoro. The interior of the restaurant was decorated with a large number of fishing rods, which was interesting.

The fish at the delicious izakaya "Kyoto Tsuriya" is amazing. The chef proudly catches fresh fish with a fishing rod, and the thick sashimi is satisfying and delicious. There are many tasty menu items besides seafood, like the avocado bacon mixed rice, which has a gentle and delicious flavor. It's a shame they were out of fatty tuna, but I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal. It's a relatively small place, but it's calming. Unfortunately, the person next to me was a heavy smoker, so I had to leave quickly. It's just my luck. I wish I could have stayed longer. The sashimi was excellent. The owner's personality is also wonderful. I will definitely visit again.

A small shop located in a narrow alley that looks like you might pass by at first glance. I thought arriving a little early for my 5:30 PM reservation might have been a mistake, but it turned out to be the right decision because they were already out of sashimi. I ordered the yellowtail and seared fatty salmon sashimi, as well as the seafood yukhoe, and they were all so delicious. The pieces were large but tender, and the prices were reasonable. It's a great place where you can try a variety of dishes in small portions.

A self-proclaimed fishmonger shop run by someone who enjoys fishing as a hobby. Good concept. The complimentary yellowtail daikon radish, Nagasaki striped jack sashimi for 1200 yen, and Nagasaki golden snapper sashimi for 850 yen were changed to seared versions. We also ordered the fatty tuna belly (otoro) for 380 yen. The striped jack had a good texture but had some bones. The golden snapper was just okay. The fatty tuna belly was not too fatty and quite delicious. It's a bit disappointing that they don't offer a sashimi platter.

I was impressed by the thickness of the sashimi! They have rare fish on the menu that you don't see often in other restaurants, so you won't get bored. The cost performance is excellent. It's a great place for fish lovers. They serve simmered dishes as a starter, and it's delicious! And the portion is quite generous. It's like a full dish on its own. They have a wide variety of menu items besides fish, so it's a very satisfying restaurant. The restaurant is not very big, so I think each dish is carefully prepared and served.

I'm stuffed (^_^;) The food is delicious... and it's annoying that this popular restaurant has become so ridiculously cheap that you can't even get in... I wish it would stay at a moderate level... I thought I knew my local area well, but there are still good restaurants to discover... There are plenty of expensive restaurants with the same quality, but eating here makes me feel like I've been ripped off elsewhere. The photos show just some of the dishes... The potato salad and salad are also delicious, but the avocado salad and grilled chicken were just okay (^_^;)

One of the shops lined up in a narrow alley. The inside is a bit small. However, the food is cheap and delicious! I was especially surprised by the size of the sashimi! It seems that you can have sashimi fish as carpaccio, simmered, or tempura without any additional charge. It became a restaurant I want to visit again!

I arrived at this restaurant after checking into my hotel at Kansai Airport from Miyazaki Airport via LCC and immediately set out to find a place to drink. The restaurant is located on "Sanjo Shokusai Roji Sakaimachi Street," where a few bars are lined up, not facing the street. Upon entering, I was seated at the counter and ordered a bottled beer. The beer and appetizers were promptly brought out, and the marinated Spanish mackerel appetizer was delicious, which got me excited. I ordered the recommended menu items of red snapper sashimi, oyster ponzu, and the 380 yen menu items of fried tofu and shishamo. The 380 yen menu has a variety of options and comes with photos, making it enjoyable. It's like a 100-yen shop, and you'll be surprised, "This is only 380 yen!" The red snapper sashimi served was from Ehime, sliced thickly on one side. The texture is soft yet firm, with a good chewiness, allowing you to taste the deliciousness of the snapper. The oyster ponzu features large oysters with a refreshing ponzu sauce that pairs well with sake. The drink menu is extensive, with a wide selection of premium sake lined up, and it's easy to choose with rankings, rice types, and polishing rates listed, making it convenient. Moreover, the prices are 480 yen and 580 yen, so you can casually enjoy your drinks. I finished off with three full glasses of sake. The total bill was 4,910 yen including tax. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I heard that the owner goes fishing on those days, so if you visit on Wednesday, you can enjoy fish caught by the owner.

I wanted to eat fish so I searched and ended up here. I sat at the counter on the first floor and started with a draft beer. The glass was large and I was in a good mood. There were various meat and izakaya staple dishes besides fish, so I was undecided. While eating the fried tar-tar appetizer, I decided to order Fukuoka-produced hirame sashimi, which also came with enagawa, making me happy. I felt like having rice with the sweet and spicy sauce of the seafood yukke. I switched to sake. Overall, the prices seemed reasonable. The Thai salt-grilled sea bream belly was undercooked, so I asked for it to be cooked again, but the flavor was on the sweet side. It was served hot in a butter skillet. My companion was delighted and said it was delicious. The Murakami-style grilled beef with sauce also went well with rice. The seafood pancake was chunky with squid and very filling. The owner said he goes fishing in Mie, so if he catches fish at the right time, I would like to try it. The counter seats on the first floor are quite narrow, so it might be better to eat slowly on the second floor. I had reserved using T-points, but they were not deducted at payment and only the points were used up, so I recommend confirming at the time of payment if you plan to use points. Thank you for the meal.

The first floor has a counter and the second floor has table seats. The shop feels a bit small, but has a nice homely atmosphere. The menu is also extensive. The owner, who loves fishing, sometimes prepares the fish himself a few times a month! The fish was so fresh that I thought it had just been cut. It was delicious with large pieces of meat, so it was very satisfying to eat!

There were many affordable dishes such as sashimi and grilled fish collar. I also enjoyed the display of fishing rods and fishing gear inside the restaurant. I definitely want to go back again.

As other reviews mentioned, the fish was quite delicious. The menu was also quite extensive and everything was tasty. However, the chijimi (Korean pancake) had too much onion and was not that great. Overall, the prices were quite low so I would like to go back again.

The fish and other izakaya menu items were delicious and satisfying in portion. The sashimi in particular had thick slices and was very satisfying to eat. The interior of the restaurant was a bit small, and the proximity of smoking and non-smoking sections made the smell of smoke noticeable, but overall the food and service were good. I would like to visit again if given the chance.

The small shop run by the always smiling fishing master. The staff is always working hard alone, providing friendly service. Thank you. The menu is extensive, the fish is delicious, and the prices are very affordable. They offer a variety of dishes, including Japanese cuisine, ajillo, and chige hot pot, which is great. My spouse and I usually order 4-5 dishes, have 2-3 drinks, share a rice dish at the end, and then take a walk home with just the right amount of fullness. For those who find the location difficult to find, just head towards the Inoda Coffee main store and you'll find it right away.

The sashimi was extremely delicious!! The grilled stingray fin and dashimaki for only 380 yen is too cheap. The menu is so extensive that it's hard to choose.

The sashimi was sliced thick and delicious. However, the flavor of the sashimi itself was not very strong, so it was just okay. It was nice to have a variety of sake options. The appetizers were also generous in portion size.
