Akabane Station has a really nice and well-equipped interior at the ticket gates! I happened to explore a bit during a stopover and came across a notice that the sake brewery "Koyama Sake Brewery" in Akabane has closed down. I didn't even know there was a sake brewery in Akabane... I definitely want to try their sake. And in the back of the shop, I found a wide variety of craft beers!! What a surprise!! I want to come back and explore this shop more leisurely.

I got off at Akabane station and found a shop called Green DeLi Ecute. They were selling a Japanese sake called Marumasa Masamune from Koyama Shuzo, established in 1878. They also had Baumkuchen and Bonbon chocolates made with junmai ginjo sake. I bought the sake and found it very easy to drink. I would love to come back to Akabane and get some more next time. Oh, and I definitely want to try the Baumkuchen too.
