President of Sheriroze Co., Ltd., human resources educator, and director of the Manner Beauty School, Toshihide Igaki here. For over 10 years, I have been holding monthly Table Manner Courses at the Mona Lisa Ebisu Main Store. Each time, special dishes are prepared for this course, allowing participants to enjoy learning manners while eating delicious food. The students are always impressed, and it brings me great joy. The dish that left the biggest impression this time was the "Domestic Beef Fillet and Tsukuba Genki Shiitake Mushroom Pie Bake." A thick piece of beef fillet with shiitake mushrooms underneath, all wrapped in a crispy pie. It was a bit difficult to eat due to its ball shape, but of course, I guided everyone on the proper way to eat it. The students were able to cleanly cut the thick steak, resulting in a beautiful cross-section that satisfied everyone. The menu for June 2023 includes various delicious dishes using Japanese ingredients, prepared with artistic beauty and flavors that resemble French cuisine with a touch of Japanese influence. Many thanks to Chef Toru Kono, Chef Kogure, and all the staff at Mona Lisa Ebisu Main Store for their wonderful hospitality.

Opened in 1997, Chef Toru Kono's "Mona Lisa" is a Maison surrounded by flowers behind Ebisu Shrine. The chef values three smiles: "the smile of the customers," "the smile of the producers," and "the smile of Mona Lisa." The chef's inspiration comes from the Mona Lisa's smile at the Louvre Museum, which helped him overcome tough times during his training in France. Chef Toru Kono trained in top restaurants in Paris and Switzerland before returning to Japan in 1990. The menu includes seasonal courses with dishes like Mussels Flan, Saffron Risotto, Sweet Potato Mousse, and more. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with dishes like Autumn Mackerel Papillote, Mona Lisa-branded bread, Red Sea Bream with Potatoes, and Niigata Pork Roast with Walnut Flavor.

The restaurant had multiple paintings that reminded me of Paris, and the seating arrangement was spacious, giving off a good French restaurant vibe. The staff were dressed in suits and provided polite service, which left a good impression. I had reserved a course menu for around 10,000 yen and paid an additional fee to choose my desired appetizer and main course. All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the appetizer named after the restaurant, Mona Lisa (first photo), was very tasty. Many other customers seemed to be celebrating birthdays, and there was a service for taking and printing photos. I thought it was suitable for special occasions like anniversaries and would like to visit again.

The dishes were like works of art, meticulously prepared with care. I was impressed by the beautiful plates with fresh flowers. Each plate was different and complemented the food. The freshly baked bread was deliciously hot... I was thrilled by the dishes made with my favorite ingredients. The explanations of the dishes were clear and detailed. Maybe because I savored them slowly, I am so full... almost bursting.

Near Ebisu Shrine, there is a famous French restaurant that emphasizes the taste of the ingredients in their dishes. Not only is the food delicious, but the presentation is also beautiful, with a great attention to detail in the tableware. The atmosphere is classic yet not overly luxurious, making it perfect for special dates or anniversaries. There are two course options: menu A for ¥8,800 with a choice of main dish, and menu B for ¥11,000 with two main dishes. I opted for menu A this time. The course includes an amuse-bouche, cold appetizer, hot appetizer, main course, fruit soup palate cleanser, dessert, and baked goods. It was the most satisfying course meal I've had recently, so unless you have a big appetite, menu A should be enough. I visited with two friends this time, and we were impressed by the attention to detail in the presentation, such as using real flower petals on the amuse-bouche plates, each with different colors. Even the desserts were individually decorated, with pink plates for women and blue plates for men. This added to the fun and lively atmosphere of our dinner. I would love to visit their Marunouchi branch as well.

It was fun to look at! It was delicious to eat! The atmosphere was wonderful! The delicate dishes were so delicate that it was a continuous delight. The tableware seemed to be designed by the owner, with unique designs that made enjoying the course even more enjoyable. The second image shows a plate with transparent glass filled with fresh flowers! Different flowers were used for each plate, showing attention to detail. The staff, whether at the table or not, provided excellent service that was truly impressive. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived until I left the restaurant. I would like to try a different course next time!

I had been meaning to visit this restaurant sometime. There were two groups for lunch. The set menu included a special appetizer "Smile of Mona Lisa" and a main dish of pie. The "Smile of Mona Lisa" was beautiful and very delicious. The crispy skin of the fish was also very good. The rest was a bit... haha. Thank you for the meal!

It was a really wonderful restaurant. The exterior was cute and I had been curious about it for a while. The interior was also elegant and cute, and I had the best time. The dishes were all delicate and memorable, but the quality of the bread was especially amazing. It was the first time I had such delicious bread at a restaurant. I also loved that we got cheese after the meal, it was just my style and made me very happy. Thank you for the meal.

Just before my first visit, my smartphone ran out of battery. I was late for a meeting with a friend, but I quickly took a taxi and rushed to the restaurant to apologize. The kind staff offered to charge my phone, which brought tears to my eyes. The restaurant is quite stylish and cute. They have a stable menu with standout dishes. The tomato rose stuffed with crab salad for the appetizer was very elegant. The main dish of domestic beef fillet with fresh herb butter and salted lemon harmony, served with colorful summer vegetables, was delicious. I was a bit tipsy from the wine, so my memory is fuzzy from this point on. The real flower dish that came with the amuse-bouche was beautiful. And I am grateful for the belated birthday dessert they prepared. My friend is a regular at the Marunouchi branch, but he mentioned that there are differences in the dishes here. Next time, I want to visit after getting a good night's sleep. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This French restaurant has a lot of creativity. However, the taste is also very delicious! What's more, the staff's tone and consideration make you feel very at ease. For a first date or for someone trying French cuisine for the first time, you might feel more relaxed here.

The tomato filled with crab salad, soup, and beef pie were delicious. The variety of cheeses was also tasty. When I asked if there was anyone who could speak English, the staff said they couldn't, but they provided me with a menu translated into English.

I was satisfied with the atmosphere, presentation of the dishes, taste, and service at the restaurant. The table we were seated at was by the window, right next to a flower bed, which was very colorful and beautiful to look at through the window. Although I usually go for Italian cuisine, this time I decided to try French cuisine after a long time. The interior of the restaurant was nicely surrounded by greenery and decorated with various colorful flowers, making it look very beautiful. The first appetizer dish was presented on a plate with fresh flowers, showing attention to detail and sophistication. The mini burger with sakura shrimp in the appetizer was crispy and delicious. For the main dish, my companion had red snapper while I chose the beef fillet wrapped in pastry. We both tried each other's dishes, and I personally found the beef fillet to be more satisfying. After the appetizer, French bread was served with one being plain and the other flavored with seaweed. The seaweed bread had a strong seaweed aroma and both were very delicious.

The Ebisu Mona Lisa Sakura Shrimp Burger, Wakaayu Fritters, New Onion Mousse - Sakura Trout, Kusukusu, Gazpacho - White Asparagus, Snow Crab, Hollandaise Sauce - Grilled Swordfish Rissole, Seaweed Risotto with Fish Soup - Roast Duck, Vinegar Sauce with New Burdock - Cheese Assortment and Dessert Assortment for 12,100 yen. This price for a full course is reasonable. I have been coming here for about 20 years because I really like the taste. The chef used to work at Taillevent Robuchon. I plan to revisit around early summer when the classic peach compote is served again.

The shop is a bit hard to find at first because it's a step lower, but the inside is clean, stylish, and has a sense of cleanliness. I love the funny talk from the elderly waiter every time. The plates, presentation, taste, and atmosphere are all excellent. The prices are reasonable. Lunch is a little luxurious for everyday use, while dinner is perfect for special occasions. This is a restaurant that I highly recommend using.

This is a rose garden. It is well maintained and entering the store, my expectations are high. When I take my seat, a fruit cocktail using seasonal fruits is served. It was the one listed on the Eat Log as a coupon, which I had requested when making a reservation. It is thoughtful not to have to present the coupon at the store. The walls are adorned with various paintings, including the Mona Lisa. The painting in the center, adorned with Parisian landmarks, is reminiscent of a picture scroll of Kyoto in Japan. The amuse-bouche (appetizer) was a marinated cherry salmon served with a tabbouleh salad and gazpacho sauce, wrapped in cherry blossom leaves. The plate was stacked in two tiers with cherry blossom petals in between, creating a lovely presentation. The warm white asparagus with snow crab and orange hollandaise sauce for the appetizer made me feel the arrival of spring. The plate featured a panoramic photo of Tokyo's night view taken from the Marunouchi store, which sparked conversation. The fish dish was a souffle-baked Indian halibut with seaweed risotto in fish soup. It was surprising to see seaweed in a French dish. The fish was sprinkled with mixed grains. The simple, aged plate had "MONALISA" written on it. The meat dish was a roast Ibaraki duck with spiced new burdock vinegar sauce and Mitsuba (Japanese parsley). The duck meat was unusually thick, both in quality and quantity. The plate was simple, focusing on the main dish. The seasonal fruit soup with strawberries was a delicious surprise. The plate was also cute. The dessert plate was more elaborate compared to the main dish. The owner's paintings adorned the saucers for coffee, tea, and herbal tea. There were black-based and yellow-based saucers, both showing great artistic sense. The restaurant lived up to its reputation as a top-notch establishment, as I had heard from rumors.

Celebrating a special day, we started with a champagne cocktail with berries. The two appetizers were delicious, and the baked scallops were exceptional. For the main course, I chose the lamb cutlets with garlic, which were also amazing. We ended the meal with sorbet, coffee, and a dessert platter. The flavors were fantastic, and surprisingly, the portion sizes were very satisfying.

I visited this restaurant after about 10 or 15 years, and it was still very delicious. I reserved the spring course on One Michelin Star for 8,228 yen, which included a fruit toast drink. Here is a summary of the dishes: - Amuse-bouche: The mini hamburger in cherry blossom color was delicious, and the bean mousse was excellent. - Appetizer: The flower of vegetables, marinated salmon, and scallop terrine with citrus sauce was stunningly beautiful and delicious. - Pasta: Ravioli with angel shrimp and butterbur sprouts in American sauce was tasty with a chewy texture. - Main dish: We shared two dishes, one was grilled rockfish with shellfish marinara sauce and spring cabbage, and the other was Ibaraki duck leg confit with Takaoka salt lemon sauce. Both were delicious, especially the rockfish. - Dessert platter - Coffee or tea It was a leisurely lunch where you can enjoy the food over time. It was truly delicious.

Second visit. Last time I made a reservation directly over the phone, but this time I ordered through Tabelog. We were provided with a spacious seat, but it was quite cold towards the back where the room opened up. The dishes were all exquisite and visually appealing. This time I ordered wine by the glass, but there was only one type of French wine available. Since we were at a French restaurant, I would have preferred if they had a selection of French wines. This trend seems to be common in other French restaurants as well, but the French cuisine at Monalisa is truly exceptional! Looking forward to the next visit.

Ebisu MONNA LISA "Lunch Course Menu B" - Renowned master of Japanese-French cuisine, Mr. Toru Kono, serves as the owner and chef of the famous restaurant "Monna Lisa." Mr. Kono trained in top restaurants in France such as "Guy Savoy," "Jamin," and "Georges Blanc," as well as in Switzerland at "Girardet." He particularly learned from the charismatic figure of the French culinary world, Joel Robuchon. Upon returning to Japan in 1990, he worked as the chef at "Restaurant Hiramatsu" in Hiroo, then became the first Japanese chef at "Taillevent Robuchon" in Ebisu in 1993. In 1997, he opened his own restaurant, "Restaurant Monna Lisa," which has become a popular establishment that values "the smiles of customers," "the smiles of producers," and "the smile of Monna Lisa." Lunch Course Menu B offers a menu where you can enjoy two main dishes, one with fish and one with meat. The menu includes an amuse-bouche, appetizer of two-color platter of large clams, fish dish with sea bream and new wakame mousse, meat dish with Niigata Tsumari pork loin, seasonal fruit soup, dessert of the day, and coffee with assorted sweets. The recommended wines include Louis Nicasse Champagne, Chardonnay KARIA 2018, and Chateau Jean Faux 2015. The classic and elegant French cuisine, along with the impeccable service and atmosphere of the restaurant, make it truly deserving of its reputation as a top-notch dining establishment. The food was delicious, thank you for the wonderful meal!

The dishes at Amuse are arranged with flowers placed by the chef, making them look cute and mesmerizing. Each dish is delicious, and for this price, I would definitely come back for lunch. The fish was especially tasty. The attention to detail on the plates is not modern, but rather classical, and the clientele seemed to be mostly older people.

I went to have lunch at Mona Lisa Ebisu. The meal started with an amuse-bouche served on a plate with flower petals arranged beautifully. The cake decorated with flowers was both cute and delicious, making it a great choice for a special occasion lunch. The menu included various dishes like salmon marinated with spring vegetables, scallop terrine, ravioli with angel shrimp and fiddlehead fern, and more. The dessert of the day was served along with coffee or tea. It's a recommended lunch spot for those who enjoy sweets, French cuisine, and elegant dining experiences. Thank you.
