The recommended pork and vegetable black pepper stir-fry by the staff had very little pork but lots of vegetables with a good crunch. The dish had a strong black pepper flavor which was nice. I was satisfied and full after eating. Thank you for the meal.

Let's go eat Ise Ebi (spiny lobster) with a colleague who invited me. We went to a place next to Ramen Yellow along Kura-mae Hashidoori street. My colleague arrived first and I joined a bit later. We entered the restaurant at 5:45 PM, it had been about 3 and a half years since my last visit. To start off, we ordered 3 gyoza, 1 drink, and 1 appetizer as a set. I had a highball and marinated chicken liver for the appetizer. When my stomach started to feel a bit empty, I ordered the main dish of Ise Ebi in chili sauce. It may sound cliché, but it was delicious and had a nice texture. I ended up having 2 highballs and 2 bottles of Shaoxing wine. I thought I was drinking lightly, but ended up having a bit too much. It was a tasty meal.Visited on the night of February 22, 2023. Rating: 3.20

Tan Tan Men + Half Fried Rice Set for 750 yen. This restaurant has really good value for the price. The Tan Tan Men is not my favorite taste, but it's decent. I like the taste of the Half Fried Rice. It reminds me of a place in Iriya called Little Hong Kong. The cost performance is great, so I want to try other set meals as well. PayPay is accepted here.

I always order the Liver and Leek Stir-Fry Set Meal for 650 yen, and it's amazing. There's a generous amount of liver in it, and it's delicious. The liver is tender and has a crispy texture that is addictive. The rice goes so well with it. And on top of that, it comes with soup, mapo tofu, and almond jelly. Plus, you can get a free refill of rice. The cost performance is just too good.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was typical of a local Chinese place. There was nothing particularly noteworthy. The shrimp dish had a standard sweet and spicy flavor. It was just okay, with a slightly strange taste. I probably won't go back.

Black vinegar pork set meal for 700 yen. Cheap. Plenty of vegetables and the meat doesn't smell bad. It's not top-notch quality, but the price is low and you can get free rice refills, so it's really nice. The small mapo tofu tastes like typical Sichuan mapo, which I don't mind. The soup has egg and seaweed. The almond jelly has a subtle almond taste, but it's okay since it's made with agar. The pork doesn't smell bad, so I might come back to try other menu items. Prices start from 650 yen, and they're open until 3 pm, so it's very affordable.

However, there is no ice, just continental temperature. (It's 30 degrees today.) I happened to hit the employee's mealtime. Sorry. The cooking staff can't eat. Shaka-jew, clang, shaka-jew, clang... Here it comes. Waited 5 minutes. Black vinegar pork. The pork pieces are large. Full of fat. Coated in crispy and sweet vinegar. I took a bite. Each piece is large. Mapo Chahan Donburi 700 yen Today, I went to lunch with my colleague, who seemed to be taking me to a restaurant I had never been to before, so I decided to join. (^_^) I entered the restaurant at 11:34 AM, and even though the interior was quite spacious, there weren't many customers at this early hour. The lunch menu had so many options that I couldn't decide what to order right away. (^_^;) While my colleague quickly made a decision on the menu, I chose the Mapo Chahan Donburi after hearing that the Mapo tofu was spicy and delicious. The dish arrived surprisingly quickly, in about 3 minutes. It was a combination of fried rice and Mapo tofu, and the portion seemed a bit large (in my opinion as a small eater). It came with egg soup and almond jelly. I took a bite of the fried rice first, and the flavor was a bit mild. Perhaps it was meant to be eaten together with the Mapo tofu? My colleague warned me that the Mapo tofu was quite spicy, but for me, the level of spiciness was just right and it was delicious (I like it quite spicy). The portion was a bit on the larger side (in my opinion as a small eater). Overall, I enjoyed my first visit for lunch. Another delicious meal today on August 27, 2019.

I'm not sure if it's correct to call this type of restaurant a "Chinese restaurant", but it's a common type of Chinese restaurant in this area. The chefs and staff are Chinese, and the prices are low. The food is decent. The set meals range from 650 to 800 yen. This was my first visit to this restaurant, located around halfway between Akihabara and Okachimachi. They also sell bento boxes outside. The interior is relatively clean, with tables for 6 or 8 people, making it easy for solo diners. I ordered the Liver and Garlic Chives Set Meal for 650 yen, asking for less rice. It looked delicious when it arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The liver and garlic chives portion was quite generous, with a high amount of liver. The taste was typical of liver and garlic chives, not bad. The liver itself didn't leave a strong impression. It's nice to have plenty of vegetables when you want them. The mapo tofu had some unfamiliar spicy flavors as an interesting touch. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch. However, these types of restaurants usually don't use the most delicious rice. Recently, I felt like I wanted a change as the menus at Chinese restaurants seemed to be the same everywhere. I decided to stop by a restaurant for dishes like liver and leek set meal, tantanmen, and stir-fried meat and vegetables. The staff at the restaurant all seemed to be Chinese, and they spoke to each other in Chinese but used basic Japanese when taking orders. When I asked for recommendations, I was told that the restaurant's specialty is dishes from Fujian Province, known for their authentic flavors. I ordered the tantanmen set meal (750 yen). The dish came with tantanmen, half-fried rice, and almond jelly, and the portion was satisfying. The slightly spicy sesame sauce with minced meat, leeks, and green onions was well-seasoned. Adding a little vinegar made the flavor smoother and added depth. You can discuss the seasoning and other preferences with the staff when ordering, so if you have any requests, be sure to enjoy your meal.

On September 20th (Sunday), we usually visit this restaurant with our company members, but this time we visited with our family for the first time. We ordered the kids' favorite dumplings, the first try of xiao long bao, stir-fried pork with green peppers, and steamed chicken. First, the steamed chicken. It was very tender and just the right amount of salt. The kids loved it. Next, the xiao long bao. The skin was chewy, and the delicious juice came out from inside. It was so tasty! Then the dumplings. They were bigger than usual dumplings, and they were filled with large shrimp. My 4-year-old daughter was gobbling them up even though they were hot. She really liked them. We also ordered two bowls of rice and beer, and it was less than 5000 yen. The whole family was very satisfied!

Sometimes I rely on this place for lunch. It's cheap! Despite being cheap, the dishes are cooked in a proper and authentic way. Chinese pop songs play inside the restaurant, and the staff speak Chinese. You somehow forget you're in Japan for a moment. There are various lunch menus, but so far, I haven't had a bad experience. Once, the previous chef suddenly returned to their home country, which worried me, but the replacement is even better! It's a bit inconvenient from the station (from Suehirocho, take Kura Front Bridge Street), but it's worth walking there. Also, for some reason, only the ramen is Japanese-style. But it's delicious (even though there's a ramen shop next door, I always eat here). I'm grateful that it's located near my workplace. However, I need to be careful about my weight, I need to exercise...
