After finishing lunch at Asakusabashi, my wife suddenly said, "Let's go buy some bread from 'Pelican.' It's just a short bike ride away!" and zoomed off towards Asakusa. She pedaled vigorously, not stopping for anything. I, on the other hand, thought that we might not be able to buy the bread so suddenly, but my opinions were left behind as I followed her on my bike to keep up. 10 minutes later, she dashed into the shop and easily got the 'Pelican' bread, even holding a small roll in her hand. Oh, she actually managed to buy it. Impressive. According to my wife, she had perfectly timed when to buy the 'Pelican' bread. She must have done some serious research without me knowing. Quite reliable, I must say. Now that we've accomplished our goal, should we head back? But as I turned to leave, the words "Honey Sesame" caught my eye. Next to 'Pelican' was a shop called 'Isomura Masajiro Shoten,' more like a wholesaler than a retail store. Although it didn't seem like a place where amateurs could enter, I couldn't help but be curious about the "Honey Sesame," so I timidly stepped inside. The owner emerged from the back and greeted me warmly, asking how he could help. His calm and gentle voice resonated in the peaceful atmosphere of the store, making me feel at ease. As I inquired about the "Honey Sesame," the owner smoothly and eloquently explained the product, as if he had been waiting for this moment. I started to realize that they were a wholesaler dealing with sesame products from a company called Kuiki. Intrigued by other products, I ended up buying not only the Honey Sesame but also sesame oil, dressing, and sesame paste. The next day, I tried the Honey Sesame on the 'Pelican' bread. The combination of kinako flavor and rich sesame taste was surprisingly delicious. I was amazed at how sesame could be used in such a way, but the taste itself was quite well-developed. I'll refrain from giving a review of the shop since it's a wholesaler, but the pleasant customer service made shopping a delightful experience. If you love sesame, it's a fun place to visit.
