This is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Korean alcohol and medicinal Korean cuisine. The charming stories from the mama hostess add to the fun atmosphere!

The dishes were all delicious, Korean royal cuisine that doesn't use any artificial seasonings but still tastes amazing! The alcohol was also Korean, not commonly seen in Japan, and it was also very tasty! I drank quite a bit, but maybe because the food and alcohol are good for the body, I woke up feeling refreshed!

While walking along the street, I came across a flyer that caught my attention. It was for a "Fortune Telling Experience" event, and it only cost 500 yen. I was intrigued! I had been curious about this place for a while. Points that caught my interest: 1. The logo of the monk mama with the "zu" character was really appealing. 2. Monk mama...does that mean it's a drag bar? 3. A bar where you can enjoy just drinks or even by yourself? What kind of place is this? So, I decided to check it out. As I timidly opened the door, I found a clean, white-themed space that felt like visiting a female friend's room. To be honest, I was a bit relieved that the mama was not a drag queen or a cross-dresser. He was just a nice guy! The rest is a secret. There were counter seats in the front and sofa seats in the back. Two young male fortune tellers were at the sofa seats, each charging 500 yen. So cheap! I had my near future read by the Tarot teacher, and my deep psyche and life vision explained by the palmistry teacher, including clairvoyance. Both readings hit close to home. It seems I'm at a turning point in my life. After the readings, we all had a toast with a highball for 480 yen. The people who had their readings done gathered at the counter and chatted excitedly about how accurate the readings were and the decisions they made. It was amazing how strangers could have endless conversations. If you can stay after 5 pm, you can have drinks and chat with the fortune tellers as well. It might be a good opportunity to ask questions if you want to become a fortune teller or if you're studying on your own. My shallow love story didn't even need a fortune telling, as the customers and mama easily solved it. I felt relieved...thank you. Bars are really interesting places. People who were strangers just moments ago suddenly found common ground and had a fulfilling time. It's surprisingly homey. I was worried about the bill, as places like this might add various charges and end up being expensive. But the bill only included the highball and consumption tax. So cheap! "We don't charge any cover fees here," said the mama. Looks like even office workers' pocket money can afford this place. I'll definitely visit again. *The fortune telling event is currently held once a month.

I visited a favorite bistro called Sanpatic on the second floor of the Seibu Shinjuku Line Arai Yakushi-mae Station, which I visit 2-3 times a month for photography. A new bar has opened there. The interior of the bar is white-themed, with a bright and wholesome impression. The friendly master, who has a talent for various things, and his wife, who is Korean, offer Korean-style dishes along with drinks. I tried a highball, Mandook (Korean-style soup dumplings), Sundubu (pure tofu), pickled celery, and Melchi Pockun. The Mandook is very Korean in its appearance, while the Sundubu has a rich flavor with small shrimp and clams. The restaurant is still new, so they are still developing their dishes and drinks. They aim to create a small space that is cheap, delicious, and comfortable.
