On this day, I had dinner in Ebisu. I arrived a bit early and decided to stop by here. It was a hidden gem to the point that I almost missed it at first, as there was only a modest sign on the 1st floor of the building. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of an old building, and you have to walk up as there is no elevator. The interior was decorated in black with a lot of greenery, and lively jazz music was playing. The space seemed to be renovated using exposed concrete walls, creating a great atmosphere both during the day and at night. There was also a small terrace-like space resembling a balcony of an apartment complex, offering a slightly open view. I definitely need to come back at night. (laughs) Since I was there before dinner, I ordered a hot coffee for 550 yen. It was served in a large white mug, but the taste was just average. The meals that other people were having smelled delicious, making me even more curious. The real specialty here is undoubtedly the fantastic atmosphere of this space. Ebisu has many wonderful dining options, but it can be difficult to find a cafe to relax in during the afternoon to early evening, making you feel like a "cafe refugee" (although it may just be my perception, haha). One cafe I recently visited in Ebisu was "CAF'E MID STAMP EBISU." Despite encountering full cafes, I miraculously found a seat here after checking on Google Maps. It's a bit of a walk from the station and you have to climb up to the 4th floor of an apartment building, but it's a lovely cafe worth the effort! Inside, there are table seats and a counter, with some tables featuring large sofas for a comfortable experience. The natural light coming in is also nice. On this day, I had tiramisu and a cafe latte, both of which were delicious and soothing for my tired body. The tiramisu had a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness that I couldn't resist finishing quickly. And the best part is that they are open until 11 pm! The location of the cafe is near Ebisu South, close to the beloved curry restaurant Bombay. You can reach the cafe by going up the slope along the railway tracks from the west exit of Atre, or it's also close to Garden Place. The entrance to the building on the 4th floor of Pine Heights has a signboard as a landmark. Lunch sets with a drink start from 800 yen (as of the date of my visit), which is quite reasonable! The menu not only lists the dishes but also the prices, which is considerate. Upon entering the building and climbing the stairs to the 4th floor, you'll find the entrance to the cafe. It truly has a hidden gem atmosphere. As soon as I opened the door, the staff greeted me with a smile. Just that made the climb to the 4th floor worth it. Inside, there are open kitchen and counter seats on the right, table seats on the left, and even a balcony (seems to be a smoking area). The sofa seats are spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax in any seat. The seat with a view of the balcony, especially, would be perfect for a date. It was hard to decide where to sit, but I chose a cozy sofa seat. The WiFi password is available at the seat, and some seats even have power outlets. They also offer dinner from 5 PM to 11 PM, with a variety of food and dessert available all day. The desserts on that day included New York cheesecake, classic Gateau Chocolat, Tiramisu, homemade banana and chocolate pound cake, and apple pie. The 12 PM to 5 PM dessert + drink set is 200 yen off. I ordered a generous iced coffee and a large-sized Tiramisu, which looked delicious. The mascarpone cheese, soaked sponge, nuts, and fruits were a delightful combination, not too sweet but perfectly bitter and tasty. Cheesecake is also popular, so I'll try that next time. The lunch menu from 12 PM to 5 PM is also popular, starting from 800 yen with a drink, offering curry, pasta, sandwiches, and more. I'd like to visit during the day and try their lunch menu too. The cozy atmosphere, WiFi, power outlets, and well-thought-out seating arrangement make it a comfortable space, not to mention the lovely smiles and service of the staff. You'll definitely be soothed by this space and the staff. It's only been about a month since they opened, but I can see why it's already popular and a repeat destination. This place is located on the 4th floor of a condominium in Ebisu Minami 1-chome, a short walk from Ebisu Station near Garden Place. I visited for lunch on the last weekend of January and it was fully booked, but luckily there was an available seat without a reservation, so I was able to dine while changing seats. Climbing up to the 4th floor is done by stairs. Up to the 3rd floor, it looks like a regular condominium, so I was a bit unsure if this was the right place. However, when I opened the door on the 4th floor, there was a stylish cafe bar space! The seats were mostly sofa seats, with luxurious seats for one person as well. Smoking is allowed on the balcony, so there was no smell of cigarettes (although no one was smoking during lunchtime). The business hours are until 11 pm, so it seems like a nice place to enjoy drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Wifi and power outlets are also available, so it could be used as a workspace cafe during weekdays. Ebisu is really a nice place!

It was my first time going at night, but the atmosphere was amazing. The food was all delicious, and there were trees in the dimly lit space with lights shining, creating a space where you could stay forever. You can also drink alcohol and smoke, making it a place you might want to stop by at night.

I have visited various solo cafes and coworking spaces before, but this one was by far the most comfortable solo cafe I have ever been to. It was also the most difficult to find, for good reason. The owner's wonderful intentions were evident. For more details, I recommend visiting and asking the owner yourself! Both of the staff members were incredibly kind and lovely people. ✨
