On a weekday before 6:00 PM, I found the curtain of "Okonomi Tamachan" on the 13th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square and decided to enter after a long time. "Okonomi Tamachan" is a popular okonomiyaki restaurant in Osaka's Horie area. It is a rare restaurant in Tokyo where you can enjoy authentic Osaka-style okonomiyaki. There are only two seats with a good view by the window, which are reserved seats. However, since it was early, there was only one reservation before us, so we were quickly guided to a table near the window. When I visited after a long time, I found that the ordering method had changed. You can scan the QR code with your smartphone camera, open the scanned URL to view the menu. You can choose the items and quantities you want to order from the alcohol, soft drinks, and a la carte menu (with photos), and when you send it, the order will arrive at your table. I thought it was a good system that prevents order mistakes and minimizes contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. I couldn't help but think about the disadvantages such as not being able to enter without a mobile phone or people who are not good at operating mobile phones, but in a place like Shibuya, the center of the young city, such worries may be unnecessary. Today, the menu we shared with my friend included: ★ 2-color ponzu pork shabu-shabu bean sprouts 720 yen - A refreshing ponzu flavor. ★ Tonpei-yaki 830 yen - The sauce is sweet and delicious. ★ Delicious! Oil kasu salt yakisoba 1,410 yen - The ingredients include oil kasu, pork, and fried egg. ★ Bossam & Samgyeopsal (special steamed pork) 440 yen - Wrap the vegetables, dip in the sauce, and enjoy. The deliciousness at this price is highly recommended. Also, one drink is always ordered. Oolong tea 440 yen x 2 After the meal, we ordered vanilla ice cream and matcha ice cream from today's ice cream 440 yen x 2 Total 5,160 yen ÷ 2 = 2,580 yen (per person today) "Gochamaze aesthetics" as touted by Tamachan, despite being an okonomiyaki restaurant, there are various Korean dishes on the menu, making it a diverse menu. Every menu item is well thought out. Even for someone like me who grew up in Tokyo, I am impressed by the deliciousness of the Tonpei-yaki here, so people from Osaka might feel even more nostalgic and visit. Perhaps due to mobile ordering, the orders come out quickly without waiting, and the staff, the older brothers, are relaxed and friendly. In about 30 minutes, more and more customers arrived. It quickly became full. I had a delicious meal today as well. Thank you for the meal.
