Ebisu Station Front Store, visited after 6 years. It's not directly in front when considering the west exit of the station, but it's a corner property, so it can be considered prime real estate. The foot traffic has been stable since opening. Revisiting the review from 6 years ago, it mentioned the clientele being somewhat adult-oriented, but this time the age group seemed to have shifted towards the younger side. (It could just be that I've aged.) By the way, my father hasn't even mentioned McDonald's since then. The purpose of the visit was for the Renamed Burgers. I tried 3 types split into 2 visits. 1) Karubi Mac, now called Jyo Kalbi, single item for 420 yen. The renaming sense is the worst, but leaving aside whether it tastes like a McDonald's hamburger, it seemed to be the most delicious. Well, the idea of putting grilled meat on a patty is a bit off (cheating), though. 2) Tamago Double Mac, now called Nico Tama, single item for 420 yen. It seems to be on the renaming route of Dubchi or Eguchi, but it feels forced. However, with sesame buns, a patty, egg, and bacon, the taste is classic. If you're going to eat a hamburger, this is the only choice. 3) Icon Chicken Salt & Lemon, now called Remo Momon, single item for 420 yen. If it were me, I would just call it Momo Lemon. (Even though it sounds like a dishwashing detergent.) It seems a bit saltier than before, but since this product had a big impact when I first tried it, it was good to be able to eat it again on this occasion. The fried chicken with peach meat is delicious.
