Today we went to Kanda. I was invited by a companion to visit this restaurant. Started with a shochu highball. Then quickly switched to white Hoppy. White Hoppy for 390 yen! Today's sashimi assortment of 6 types for 1980 yen! Even though it's supposed to be 6 types, it's not really 6 (・∀・). They were all very very delicious. Impressive... Other dishes included: - Konjac with roe - first time trying it, chewy and very delicious. - Kishu Kintaro iwashi sashimi skewers (3 pieces) from Osaka Bay - first time trying Kintaro iwashi, plump and tasty. The alcohol goes down smoothly. Thank you for the feast. I would like to visit again!

We visited this shop on a whim. After work, my colleagues and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat. The small shop exuded a charming atmosphere typical of the old downtown area of Kanda. Our food and drinks arrived quickly, and we found the space to be very cozy. I would love to visit again when the situation calms down.

At 12:00 pm, I headed to the Kanda Station West Exit shopping street and found a restaurant called "Uokai Sendan". The restaurant had comfortable four-seater tables where solo diners like me could enjoy a leisurely meal. We all ordered the daily lunch special, which included tuna sashimi, horse mackerel fry, fried fish, warm soba noodles, miso soup with vegetables, a vegetable salad, pickles, and rice. It cost 1000 yen in total. The food arrived promptly, and I was back at Kanda Station by 12:23 pm. It's a great spot for a quick and delicious meal during busy times. And hey, don't judge me for writing this review on a bench at the station!

I think this restaurant didn't use to serve lunch before, but they started offering it due to the pandemic. I ordered the seafood chirashi bowl for 790 yen. I believe the ingredients in their chirashi bowl are luxurious, probably including Thai snapper, grunt, scallops, etc. When you eat it with soy sauce, you can taste the deliciousness of the ingredients, even though they are small. The rice is probably seasoned with vinegar, and there are also seasoned shiitake mushrooms in it, which adds to the satisfaction. For 790 yen, this is cheap. I think it's a great deal.

There are three Uokai Fleet restaurants at the west exit of Kanda Station. The first store, Tsukasamachi Honten, is located underground near the Tsukasamachi intersection along Sotobori Street. The second store, Enbetsu Tei, is located along Tamachi Dori, just a short walk from the west exit. The third store, Tsukasa Bekketsu (this store), is located in the Kanda Station West Exit Shopping Street. Established in the first year of Heisei, it has been an izakaya in Kanda for over 30 years. Last year, when I visited Uokai Fleet Enbetsu Tei at the end of the year, I won the first prize in the year-end Jumbo Fish Lottery! The first prize was a "Annual Passport". For one year, I would receive one complimentary dish every month, and if I completed the full set, I would also receive a six-piece sashimi platter! However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, I had to give up on completing the full set early on... I visited the third store for the first time in a while. There are 5 tables for 4-6 people inside the restaurant. There were two staff members managing the place. First, I ordered a draft beer (500 yen)! It was a Premium Malt. The appetizer was simmered tuna. Although sashimi is the specialty of this restaurant, they were having a meat festival, so I ordered the sliced pork tongue with grated ponzu sauce (450 yen). Sliced pork tongue on top of onions, topped with grated daikon and green onions, with grated garlic on the side. The texture was crunchy, and the umami flavor gradually emerged as I chewed. Now, the annual passport. In October, it was a limited autumn sake, Hiyao-roshi 1 cup. The sake served was Matsuramine no Fuji Junmai Ginjo. It is a sake from Matsuyama Brewery in Yamagata Prefecture, but according to the staff, it is only available at two liquor stores in Tokyo. It was dry but had a gentle flavor typical of Hiyao-roshi. The regular price at this restaurant is 920 yen for 1 cup. It was a delightful service. The total bill was 1,460 yen. The staff's service was polite and sincere, making it a fitting izakaya.

I entered the shop after seeing the sign for oden. The oden was a bit light in flavor but still delicious. The grilled sea bream head was limited in quantity and quite tasty. The sweet potato tempura was also delicious but small. I tried the recommended fresh sardines as sashimi and grilled fish, both of which were quite tasty. The rolled omelette was also delicious.

We had our second party at this restaurant. We ordered the following menu items: Grilled Pacific saury with salt for 590 yen, Homemade assorted oden with 6 varieties for 640 yen, Assorted sashimi with 6 varieties for 1980 yen, and beer and other drinks. We started with the grilled Pacific saury. The freshness of the saury was outstanding and the deliciousness was evident. The plump flesh and fresh innards allowed us to enjoy a slight bitterness. The sashimi was also very fresh. The sardine sashimi was delicious with a good amount of fat. The oden had a good taste soaked into the daikon radish and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the feast.

I went for a business meeting! We ordered a sashimi platter for about 3000 yen. The tuna was probably medium fatty tuna and was decent. There was a variety of white fish, but it was disappointing that the shrimp was red shrimp. The homemade sweet potato tempura was simply delicious! There was a wide variety and the unique texture of homemade tempura was excellent! The best recommendation is the tuna collar, which offers great value for money! It's probably yellowfin tuna, but the price is low and the fatty texture is outstanding! The size is also large, so even with four people, there was plenty to eat! I definitely recommend trying the tuna collar here at least once!

If you want to eat sashimi in a wallet-friendly restaurant, this is the place to go. The assorted sashimi platter is luxurious. However, it was disappointing that cigarette smoke from outside was coming in on this day (no smoking inside the restaurant).

Assorted sashimi and other dishes were satisfying, with good service. However, the 500 yen cover charge for appetizers is a bit expensive. Overall, good value for money.

The fried chicken is delicious.

I was really craving fish, so I was wandering around the streets of Kanda when I stumbled upon a restaurant with an amazing name. It had a great atmosphere, so I decided to go in and ordered some beer, sake, and tuna collar. I was amazed by the size of the tuna collar. It was exactly what I was looking for to enjoy my evening drink. The restaurant is located near Kanda Station West Exit, just turn left and walk for about 2-3 minutes on the main street. The name is so good that you'll know it right away, so I recommend everyone to try it at least once. Enjoy!

The shirasu (whitebait) appetizer was not very good, but the sashimi was fresh and delicious. The menu seemed a bit limited. There were many salarymen dining and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The sake was also very tasty.

Cheap and delicious

The tuna collar was huge and yet cheap! The cost performance is the best~! It was delicious and chewy (^^)
