Formerly a popular shop in Osaka, Yam Yam Inner Trip, and the chef of Se Minyon in Shirokanetakanawa, Mr. Yamana, opened a new patisserie in Hamamatsucho two years ago. The bakery, located 1 minute walk from the patisserie, opens at 7:30 am and offers a variety of breads including hard, soft, and sandwiches. Prices are mostly in the 300 yen range, with very few options in the 200 yen range, making it slightly expensive. The large-sized breads are only available in full size, making it a bit difficult to try them out. Fresh Rosemary for 210 yen is made with olive oil kneaded into a chewy dough with fresh rosemary. The crunchy rock salt adds a nice touch. The surface is moist and slightly crispy. The inside is moist and chewy, with a good elasticity. The aroma is great and it's easy to eat! This is wonderful. I would like to try other breads that caught my eye.

Croissant 350 yen A slightly sweet and moist croissant. I bought it and ate it right away, but it wasn't as crispy as I expected. Melon Pan 220 yen I warmed it up in the microwave for 20 seconds (put it on top of a mug with a little water) and then baked it in the toaster. The sweet cookie crust on the outside was crispy, and the inside was fluffy and chewy. It was incredibly delicious. I want to eat it again. Salted Butter Daifuku Red Bean Paste 320 yen I didn't toast it hot this time, so the rock salt tasted saltier than last time.

I visited in the morning on a regular day. The place is located about a 3-4 minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station towards the Italian town. They open at 7:30 in the morning. I purchased the "Potato and Tomato Cheese Board" for 290 yen for breakfast. The top part is mashed potatoes, with tomato sauce and cheese inside, which is surprisingly filling. The combination of tomato sauce and cheese is delicious. Thank you for the meal.

JR Hamamatsucho Station is a 4-minute walk away, while Daimon Station is 3 minutes away. Baguette for 380 yen: A long-aged baguette that is first frozen and then reheated. I had it with prosciutto and potato salad sandwiched in between. The crust was crispy and the inside was soft and chewy. The slightly sweet taste of wheat was also delightful. It was a baguette that I really liked. Salted Butter with Azuki Bean Paste for 320 yen: I had high expectations after enjoying the baguette. It was indeed delicious. The sweet taste of wheat was to my liking. The azuki bean paste was quite sweet, but I really liked the taste! The saltiness of the rock salt was quite bold... but it worked! I definitely want to go back and buy more.

I got iced coffee and bread to go. The Mentaiko France was 280 yen and the Bacon Cheese was 380 yen. The Bacon Cheese had a solid texture and was satisfying to eat. The iced coffee was pretty average.

A stylish and small shop quietly standing on a backstreet. There is also a cake shop across the street. The shop has a high-end appearance, but with courage, I entered. The prices are quite high for bread. I bought a cheese and walnut bread and an olive and salt bread. The outside is hard, but the inside is soft. It's delicious, but considering the price, it's expected.

NORIetNORI's bread first attempt! On July 3, 2023, I tried NORIetNORI's bread for the first time. I had been wanting to try it for a while, but I had trouble finding the right timing as the store hours didn't always match up. Finally, I was able to buy some. I was looking for something basic, but there weren't many options, so I ended up getting a cheese bread and a melon bread. The melon bread was just okay, nothing special. It was on the small side. When I think about it, it was a bit pricey. It wasn't the kind of bread that would make me want to buy it again and again, which was a bit disappointing.

I arrived at the shop around 4:30 pm on a regular day. It is located on a quiet street about a 5-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station. There were no other customers yet, and there were still several types of bread left. Across the narrow street, there seems to be a sister shop selling sweets. The chef has trained at multiple Western confectionery shops. This time, I bought three items: Croque Monsieur for 480 yen, Pain au Chocolat for 380 yen, and Salted Butter with Azuki Beans for 320 yen. - Pain au Chocolat: Uses fermented butter from Isigny in Normandy, France. The crispy crust has a very fragrant buttery aroma! The chocolate is slightly bitter and very delicious. - Croque Monsieur: Smoked ham and white sauce sandwiched between our famous croissant, toasted with cheese. The croissant dough is slightly sweet and has a rich buttery flavor. The white sauce inside is smooth, and it goes well with the ham. The balance of sweetness and saltiness is perfect! - Salted Butter with Azuki Beans: Azuki beans and rock salt are generously wrapped in baguette dough. The salted butter adds a fragrant accent. The baguette dough is chewy and delicious, with a good balance of sweetness and saltiness. They were all delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Hamamatsucho Station North Exit, Norie Nori is a bakery that competes with its neighboring cake shop. Despite being in the North Exit, the area is not particularly busy, making it a hidden gem bakery. My personal favorite is the Mini Croissant (130 yen tax included) - despite its name, it's not that small. I also recommend getting it as a set with the Mini Pain au Chocolat. Here are some items I tried: - Mini Croissant: Light and crispy, perfect for breakfast or a snack. - Mini Pain au Chocolat (140 yen): Goes well with French chocolate and fermented butter. - Canelé (300 yen): A light and delicious treat, perfect for a coffee break. - Chausson aux Pommes (560 yen): An apple pie filled with plenty of apples, great for any time of day. - Basil Chicken Sandwich (650 yen): A sandwich with basil, chicken, and olive oil, enjoyed with a glass of white wine. While all the items were delicious, the Mini Croissant stood out for its taste and convenience. The Mini Pain au Chocolat is also a great choice when bought as a set. The prices are reasonable, especially when bought in a set. They also sell bread and quiche on certain days. Since there are no other bakeries or cake shops nearby, I hope Norie Nori continues to thrive. It would be nice if the customer service could be a bit more flexible and casual.

Quiche Lorraine ¥480 and Fresh Rosemary ¥210 were still available around 3:00 pm. I didn't expect them to have any left at this time, but they had all three varieties. I chose the classic Quiche Lorraine, which has bacon and cheese. The bacon chunks inside it are delicious, and they go well with the cheese and egg base. It was my first time trying the classic Quiche Lorraine, and it did not disappoint. The Fresh Rosemary was heavy and had a hint of herbs, making it a luxurious treat. It had a perfect balance of herbs, moist bread, and rock salt. Overall, a satisfying bread, recommended for herb lovers.

Quiche is apparently only sold on weekends. Due to the recent increase in egg prices, the decision to sell it or not seems to be made on a case-by-case basis, so if you really want to eat quiche, it might be better to check with the store on the day. I had the quiche with eggplant last time, but I might prefer the one with Gorgonzola cheese. The three types available at the store this time were tomato and olive, Quattro something, and eggplant. I chose the eggplant, but... I felt like eggplant and quiche (egg pastry) don't really go well together to begin with. This is just my preference, but after trying it, I still personally think that eggplant and eggs don't match. If the eggplant had a tomato flavor, it might be better, but it was just eggplant alone. This time, I chose the wrong filling, but the quiche itself was crispy on the outside and had a rich egg texture on the inside, and it was delicious. As I mentioned before, one quiche is satisfying enough. I will visit again in search of quiche with different flavors. Next time, I will choose a quiche with ingredients that go well with eggs.

Tokyo! I had a slightly early lunch with a brunch vibe. I have a dinner reservation at 8 pm, and I'm a bit worried about getting hungry before then... In times like this, I always look for a bakery or a dessert shop. I searched on Tabelog and found a bakery that seems to be quite close to my hotel during my stay. Let's go check it out! "Boulangerie Noli et Nori" is the name of the bakery. The shop has a chic exterior with a black color scheme. It's not very spacious inside, but it's a cozy place. It was a little past lunchtime, and many sandwich breads were already sold out. But then I heard, "Freshly baked chocolate bread!" When I heard it was freshly baked, I couldn't resist and quickly got one. And I also decided to get the melon bread that I had been eyeing since I entered the shop. I'll enjoy the freshly baked chocolate bread now and save the melon bread for breakfast tomorrow. The chocolate bread was crispy and light, with warm chocolate inside. It was perfect timing to visit the shop. The melon bread was enjoyed the next morning, still fluffy inside with a cookie-like crust. I bet it would have been even more delicious if I had it fresh out of the oven. Next time I stay in Hamamatsucho, I'll try to visit the shop when it opens. But I know I'll have a hard time deciding what to buy with all the tempting choices there!

Rosemary bread and mentaiko (spicy cod roe) French bread are now available at a bakery in Omotesando, where there are few bakeries. I always had trouble finding good bread, so I was very happy to see this new bakery. The prices are reasonable too, which is great. I bought some right away. The rosemary bread is made with soft French dough, and the aroma of rosemary with a touch of rock salt is delightful. I should have prepared some olive oil to eat with it. It's delicious. The mentaiko French bread has two layers with shiso (perilla) in between. The amount of mentaiko is just right, not too much. Either way, it's good.

When you enter the store, you can smell the freshly baked buttery quiche. Although the prices may seem high at first glance, the portion size is generous so it's worth it. One quiche is satisfying enough. Gorgonzola quiche ¥480 The quiche is on the left in the photo. I took a picture of the part that didn't collapse because I failed to take it home. The outer crust is crispy. The quiche itself is heavy and satisfying because it contains potatoes. The melted Gorgonzola cheese on top is irresistible for cheese lovers. It's so delicious! Definitely worth a repeat visit. Salted butter red bean ¥320 French bread dough. The more you chew, the more the flavor comes out. The combination of butter, sweet red beans, and rock salt inside is fantastic. This also has a satisfying portion size, so it's definitely worth a repeat visit!

I came to Boulangery Norie Nori, a bakery located 2-3 minutes walk from Hamamatsucho Station North Exit, to buy bread for the next morning. Despite the rising prices in other stores, they are keeping their prices the same and doing their best. The interior of the store looks a bit high-class. I bought three items: Salted Butter with Adzuki Beans for ¥320, Fresh Rosemary for ¥210, and Olive for ¥280. The Salted Butter with Adzuki Beans had a firm dough with plenty of adzuki beans, and the salted butter was really good. The Fresh Rosemary had a chewy dough with rosemary, and the saltiness was just right. The Olive had olives with a salty flavor. It may be a bit pricey, but the bread is delicious, so it's worth it.

The store opens at 8 am and you can buy freshly baked bread in a lovely atmosphere. Although it was mentioned that you can get a drink with a sandwich purchase from the refrigerated showcase, I opted for regular bread. I chose the Mimolette for 380 yen, which had cheese on top and a firm walnut in the middle, providing a satisfying texture. I also got the Mini Pain au Chocolat for 140 yen, which had chocolate chips sprinkled on a crispy croissant dough. It was not too sweet and easy to eat. Both were delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

It was around 4:00 on a holiday, so there were few customers and only a few items left at the store. It was my first time there, and I bought three items that caught my eye. Fresh rosemary for ¥210, salted butter with large beans for ¥320, and chorizo focaccia for ¥280. The salted butter with large beans was delicious! It had a firm texture and plenty of large beans with just the right amount of saltiness. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I haven't had many chances to go to Hamamatsucho recently, but I would like to buy bread here and relax at Hamarikyu Gardens. I will visit again.

First visit 202303 (No.4355) 1. Purpose of visit - On the day, I was gathering information in the Hamamatsucho area, along with some related items. 2. Shop information - Genre on Tabelog: Bread - Opened on November 12, 2021 - Bakery shop with the same management as the pastry shop right across the street - Currently conducting joint sales at the pastry shop right next door, but the bakery shop sells independently on the pastry shop's regular holidays - Business hours: 07:30-18:00 - Irregular holidays - Take-out only store 3. Crowdedness on the day - Visited around 11:30 on a weekday, with only 2 previous customers 4. Customer service - Service in accordance with the manual 5. Purchased items - Croissant 350 yen The price is reasonable and you can taste the butter flavor, but the texture is not the honeycomb-like one that I love, so it was a bit disappointing. Thank you for the meal.

Located in a back alley of Hamamatsucho, there is a patisserie with an attached boulangerie. It seems to operate as a branch-in-branch, offering croissants for 350 yen, olive bread for 280 yen, and canelés for 350 yen from the patisserie. I also bought a paper bag for 30 yen, paid with cashless payment, took the pastries home, and enjoyed them with sparkling wine for dinner. The olive bread had a wonderful presence, the croissant had a nice combination of softness and crispiness, and the canelé was not too sweet with an elegant taste that paired well with red wine.

A bakery where delicious cakes and pastries are lined up. - Salted butter red bean paste bun (tax included 320 yen) ☆☆☆☆☆ It really tastes like salted bread! Sweet and salty! You can also taste the sweetness of the butter. The slightly chewy French bread dough is filled with plenty of slightly sweet red beans. This was really delicious ♡ - Mimolette (tax included 380 yen) ☆☆☆☆ The vivid orange Mimolette cheese is melty. When reheated, the cheese becomes gooey. The French bread dough is fluffy and chewy. It's the type that you chew slowly. Inside, there are crunchy walnuts too! - Fig and walnut bread (tax included 580 yen) ☆☆☆ Crispy and chewy. Inside, there are moist figs and walnuts with condensed sweetness. This type is a bit tastier when toasted.
