After visiting several places, a drinking companion suggested, "There's an interesting place in Rokku, let's go." So, we took a taxi from Minowa. When asked if it was an izakaya, bar, or snack bar, my companion just smiled mysteriously. We arrived near Don Quijote, but it was hard to find the place because we were both a bit tipsy. After circling around, we finally found the place with a bright yellow sign. It was a music bar that opened at 9 pm and closed at 5 am, with a dangerous steep staircase to climb. Inside, it was narrow, dimly lit, with loud music but still enough to hear conversations. There were quite a few customers, including some foreigners, all regulars with unique personalities. It felt intimidating to enter alone, but I was glad my companion brought me. It reminded me of the dance clubs I used to go to when I was younger. My companion had been introduced by a regular before. We sat at the counter, which had about 6 seats, and the atmosphere was similar to a club. The long-haired, tall master brought us the menu, and we chatted with the familiar faces. The drink menu was standard, but surprisingly they had a variety of Coedo beers, which I enjoyed. I was also impressed by the delicious Penne Gratin I ordered, along with the Kiss chocolates and mixed nuts. The gratin was filled with chicken, penne, shimeji mushrooms, and spinach, and it was so tasty that it sobered me up. The master, whether hired or not, had professional cooking skills. Even though I had already eaten and drank a lot, I finished it quickly. The way the Coedo beer was poured into the glass was like art. The master had to leave for some reason and was replaced by a female master. A few more customers came but left because there were no seats. Despite having many regulars, the bar welcomed newcomers warmly. I didn't know there was a bar open until morning in Rokku, and it was my first time experiencing such an interesting and unique bar. We entered at 12:20 am and left at 3:30 am – it was my first time drinking until that late.
