I went to a sushi restaurant called "Omoumai" that serves pasta, so I decided to try their "Hanasushi Set with extra pasta (¥1000)". The soup that came with it was really tasty, with a strong potato flavor. The pasta had chewy squid and delicious broccoli, giving a nice touch of bitterness. It really made me feel like spring. The fresh tomatoes added even more flavor. The sushi was thick and delicious, with a cute presentation. Overall, the food was great. It was a weekday and the restaurant was empty, which was surprising because the food was so good.

Sushi restaurant in Tokyo's Higashimurayama. For lunch, most people order a sushi set with pasta. The lunch at "Shige Sushi" is a flower sushi set with pasta for 990 yen. This popular restaurant was featured on the TV show "Delicious Store". Located in a residential area, this sushi restaurant has become a local favorite. The lunch menu features sushi sets with pasta. One unique item on the menu is the "flower sushi". What exactly is "flower sushi"? Today, I ordered the set that includes "flower sushi". You can choose from 5 pasta options, and I chose the "shrimp and avocado with spicy cod roe sauce". The meal started with a salad with tofu and sesame dressing. Then came the sushi, with each piece shaped like a flower. The sushi was delicious, with a variety of toppings like tuna and salmon. The meal also included a cold potato soup called "Vichyssoise". Finally, the pasta arrived with plenty of shredded seaweed on top. The spicy cod roe sauce paired well with the shrimp and avocado. Overall, the meal was a delightful combination of sushi and pasta. The restaurant was bustling with customers ordering the same pasta set. It was a unique experience to enjoy pasta at a sushi restaurant.

I visited the restaurant according to the holiday opening hours, but there was already a long line when I arrived. The line didn't move much as a few reserved customers were being seated. It turns out that this restaurant takes reservations, so I ended up waiting for 90 minutes. I was eventually seated at an 8-person counter and I could choose both pasta and sushi from the menu to create my own set. I was surprised to see pasta on the menu at a sushi restaurant, but I decided to try the shrimp and avocado pasta with mentaiko sauce and a 5-piece sushi set for 1430 yen. First, a salad was served, followed by a cold soup, which felt out of place in a sushi restaurant. When the pasta arrived, it looked delicious with plenty of ingredients and a good sauce that coated the pasta well. The shrimp and avocado provided different textures, making it enjoyable to eat. The mentaiko flavor added a nice touch without being overpowering. The sushi, served with fruit, was fresh and the balance between the fish and rice was just right. It had been a while since I had sushi of this size, and I found it satisfying. Overall, I was very pleased with both the pasta and sushi. Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back again.

It's not recommended to go on Sundays or during holidays. Due to TV advertising and the PayPay Tokorozawa 30% cashback promotion, even though I went right at opening time, there was a wait of about 30 people with 3 rounds of customers still not being able to be seated. The store parking lot only fits 3 cars, so I had to park at the nearby coin parking lot. The set menu included oyster sushi and swordfish with lemon butter sauce, which were of a higher quality compared to conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The lunch set had a main dish of sushi with a small amount, so I also ordered additional items from the menu. For those with a big appetite, one dish might not be enough. Next time, I will choose either scallop or sea urchin spaghetti.

I was guided to the counter. This time, I ordered the flower sushi set! For pasta, I had sea urchin pasta! It seems like they have more staff now! The grandma there is so kind. She even asked if I wanted tea. I said no because I'm already full, but she felt bad for making me wait and ended up giving me some tea. Such a kind grandma. The soup was pumpkin soup and the salad had sesame dressing. The sushi came first this time, cute flower sushi. I wonder if the son is the one making it? It was delicious but I want to try the eggplant meat sauce that the person next to me ordered. Maybe I'll go back when it's a bit less crowded!

Around 12:30, I arrived at the restaurant just after it was featured on TV, so there was a line of about 20 people. There is parking for about 3 cars below the restaurant, with a coin parking lot next door. I ordered a 3-piece set of shrimp and avocado with mentaiko sauce sushi! Soon after, soup and salad arrived. The dressing seemed homemade, and the cold potato soup could use a bit more salt. The pasta arrived - the shrimp was nice and plump, and the avocado was soft and delicious. A while later, the sushi arrived. For dessert, I had tiramisu. It had a hint of liqueur and even people who don't like the taste of cheese would enjoy it. I will definitely visit again.

Sushi, soup, salad, and pasta set. The pasta options range from classic pasta to oyster and seaweed pasta. The salad dressing has a Chinese-style taste with soy sauce and sesame oil (on the richer side). The soup is probably potato potage. The sushi includes salmon, scallops, tuna, horse mackerel, and Thai snapper (not sure about the fish types...). A strange sight of sushi and potage side by side, haha. Overall, the portions are modest. The pasta has a soup-like appearance. The delicious soup has a strong oyster broth flavor that I want to mix with rice. The oysters are cooked just right and I really like them. The aroma of seaweed is also nice. The sushi alone is average, but the pasta is surprisingly delicious. I have high hopes for other fish pasta dishes. I want to have sushi rolls and a large serving of pasta. The delicious taste lingers in the aftertaste. If I ever have the chance to visit nearby (although I don't), I will definitely go.

I have been living a self-restricted life for a long time. I feel like it's time to start dining out again. Today, I went to Shige Sushi for lunch, which I have been curious about for a while. They offer a set menu with both pasta and sushi, which I like. I chose the 5-piece nigiri set (excluding tax 1300 yen). The nigiri pieces were large, and even with just 5 pieces, I felt satisfied. The pasta portion was also substantial for one person. In the city center, the pasta alone would probably cost around 1300 yen. The set also included a salad and soup, which were delicious. They serve draft beer for 300 yen excluding tax during lunch. The exterior of the restaurant has a traditional sushi shop look. Overall, it was a unique and interesting dining experience.

The pasta at the sushi restaurant was delicious with fresh seafood. I had pasta with shrimp and avocado in spicy cod roe sauce, and pasta with oysters and seaweed. The sushi was also fresh and tasty, with good quality rice. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with many young mothers enjoying their meal with laughter and conversation. The cost performance was great, and we were very satisfied. My wife also enjoyed the meal. We would love to come back again. Oh, and the tea was also delicious.

I want to eat sushi! So, I thought of trying this place. I searched online before going, and found out that they serve sushi for lunch. When I arrived, I realized something new - the restaurant was on the second floor, I didn't know that (haha). Now, I had to decide between having pasta and sushi for lunch, or just sushi. I decided to go with just sushi. I ordered a 10-piece sushi set for 1200 yen. While waiting, I observed the fresh and delicious-looking sushi. The set included tuna, sea bream, gizzard shad, shrimp, salmon roe, squid, salmon, egg, and bonito. The sushi was really fresh and tasty. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't serve miso soup or something similar. Maybe next time I'll try the pasta. Thank you for the meal.

The pasta was delicious and cheap. It would have been better if they offered a 50 yen option for extra servings. The dish had plenty of oysters in it. The customer at the table behind me ordered a sushi roll set with extra servings.

I look forward to the seasonal dishes every month. Here are this month's pasta and dessert options. Since they are a small operation, orders may take some time to be served if they are busy, so please be aware of that(^.^)

(Visited again in August 2017) I visit this restaurant every month and I usually choose the seasonal pasta from the course menu. This month, I tried the chilled pasta with prosciutto and summer vegetables. It was delicious with sweet tomatoes and corn. I have uploaded a picture of the dish on my blog. (Visited for dinner in March 2015) I visit this restaurant every month for dinner. The dishes made with seasonal ingredients are not only beautiful but also delicious. I have uploaded pictures of two dishes on my blog. The price has increased slightly due to rising ingredient costs, but it is still reasonable. (Visited for dinner in April 2014) I visit this restaurant every month for dinner. The dishes are delicious, generous in portion, and reasonably priced. I have uploaded pictures of the dessert and fish dish on my blog. The price has increased slightly due to the consumption tax hike, but it is still affordable. The owners and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. (Visited for dinner in November 2013) I visit this restaurant every month and I am posting some pictures after a long time. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. (Visited for dinner in October 2011) I brought my parents here for lunch and they enjoyed it, so we came back for dinner. The Manpuku course (2,680 yen) was delicious as always. I have uploaded some pictures of the dishes on my blog. The seasonal vegetable terrine and the assorted appetizers were particularly tasty. The fried saury was thick and delicious, and the pasta with oysters and seaweed was amazing. The salmon sauté with carrot puree was also a standout dish. The dessert, chestnut tiramisu, was a perfect ending to the meal.

Shigeo Sushi, a recommended restaurant by my senior Fuji, who lives in Akitsu. I tried to visit last December but unfortunately, it was closed for the day. Today, I came back for a rematch after finishing my walk at Higashi-Murayama Station. It was already past 1:30 PM, but the curtain was still up, indicating that they were still serving lunch. The restaurant is known for its unique combination of sushi and pasta, which has garnered some media attention. I decided to try the sushi and pasta lunch set with 5 pieces of nigiri sushi for 1,410 yen. I chose the pasta with snow crab in tomato cream sauce. The presentation of salad and cold soup before the meal was peculiar for a sushi restaurant. The sushi and pasta were decent, but nothing extraordinary. It was more about the interesting combination. Overall, I would rate it 6 out of 10 points.

The place is located about a 10-15 minute walk straight from the intersection of the Huchu Kaido along the East Musashino Post Office towards Higashi-Murayama 7-chome. You go up the stairs and the entrance is on the 2nd floor. It was my first time visiting this place. As soon as I walked in, I made eye contact with the head chef, but he didn't say anything. I waited to be seated for a while, but no one said anything, so I just sat at the available counter seat. It felt a bit awkward at first, but then the wife and the young chef came from the back and greeted me with a smile, which made me feel relieved. I ordered the sushi and pasta lunch set this time. First, I had salad and soup. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and the soup had crab meat in it, giving it a delicious seafood flavor. Then came the sushi. The ingredients were fresh, and they looked cute and satisfying. At this point, I was already quite full, but then the pasta arrived! I chose the crab tomato cream pasta this time, and I was surprised by how authentic and tasty it was, even though it's a sushi restaurant! I'd like to try other pasta dishes as well. For dessert, I had a purple sweet potato and apple tart. It was also authentic and delicious! It looked beautiful and I enjoyed it with my eyes as well. The lunch set was 890 yen, and the lunch dessert was 230 yen. I think it's quite a good deal. There are also tatami mat seats, so it should be fine to bring children along. They also seemed to have course menus, so I'm curious about those too. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't resist the temptation and ended up sneaking in. I just had to try the "sushi and pasta lunch" that was recommended this month, featuring a "fugu and green onion peperoncino" dish. First, a salad and soup were served. The soup served at the sushi counter was exceptional. Then, I was served three pieces of sushi made by the chef: salmon, tuna, and squid, with a side of apple. The pasta, prepared by the son in the kitchen, was rich with fugu. It had a kick of garlic and chili pepper. "Sushi and pasta" is definitely an unexpected combination. It seems like it's better to enjoy them separately (laughs).

I had always been curious about the sushi restaurant "Shige Sushi" along Takano Michi in Higashimurayama, so I decided to visit. Located along the busy Takano Michi, the restaurant is easy to miss. There is only parking space for one car, and you have to climb stairs to reach the second floor where the restaurant is located. Upon entering, there are counter seats and tatami seating in the back, with several groups of women already dining. My friend and I were seated at the counter and ordered the lunch special, the Hana Zushi lunch (\880). We were served salad and soup first, with the soup being a corn potage that day. Meanwhile, the chef prepared the Hana Zushi in front of us, which consisted of salmon, scallop, tuna, yellowtail, and horse mackerel. It was served in a carpaccio style, so it was delicious even without soy sauce. Then, we were served pasta, which was made with fresh oysters and had a perfect combination of seaweed and garlic. The pasta changes monthly based on seasonal ingredients. The son, who trained in Italian cuisine, provides pasta and desserts at the sushi restaurant during the day when he has free time. Eating pasta at the counter is a unique experience, and while the taste and presentation were excellent, it might be better to serve the pasta a bit sooner. On my second visit on September 30, I had lunch with a friend and tried the recommended "Pacific saury and shishito pepper with daikon oroshi pasta." The daikon oroshi had a great texture, and the yuzu peel added a nice touch. Both the visual presentation and taste were outstanding. I look forward to visiting again in the fall.
