I was wandering around Asakusa town and feeling tired, so I was looking for a calm cafe to take a break. Finally, on my third try, I found a cafe where I could sit down. This was the cafe "Mont Blanc." I entered the cafe around 4 o'clock, and it was quite crowded. Although the entrance looked narrow, the inside was surprisingly spacious. There were two older staff members in the dining area and two men in the kitchen. As soon as we entered, the older man in the dining area gestured with two fingers on his lips. My husband, thinking he was asking about the number of people, replied, "Two." I thought it might be about smoking, so I said, "I don't smoke," and we were seated in the non-smoking section with green chairs. The smoking section seemed to be at the back. My husband ordered coffee, and I ordered a cafe au lait. The coffee arrived as usual, but the cafe au lait had whipped cream on top and was lukewarm. The taste, to be honest, was not that great. However, in the midst of the crowded Asakusa streets, I was grateful for the relaxing atmosphere. In that sense, I would rate it 3 stars. I'm not sure if I would visit this place again. Perhaps improving the gesture of the older man at the entrance would be a good idea. It didn't seem like he was asking about smoking or non-smoking, as all the customers who arrived while we were there (about 4 groups) answered with the number of people. Later, the older man would come closer to the customers and ask, "Smoking?" It seemed like an unnecessary extra step, especially during busy times.
