食いしん坊おやじ
In April 2021, a state of emergency will be declared for the fourth time starting tomorrow. Today, I helped out with some young people in Roppongi from the morning. I arrived in Roppongi at 6:30 to avoid the rush hour, and did some work at a cafe during the quiet early hours. The meeting to support the young people ended before 11 am. Instead of a crowded lunch, I decided to enjoy a leisurely lunch drink here in Tokyo, as many businesses are likely to close from tomorrow due to the emergency declaration. This sushi place seemed like a high-end establishment, with no crowds and perfect infection prevention measures, allowing me to enjoy a relaxing solo drink. Starting with Black Dragon sake, the meal began with a deliciously plump hairy crab meat, sweet with a hint of seaweed flavor, a perfect start. The sashimi included medium fatty tuna, firefly squid, and horse mackerel. The sake recommended by the chef, whose name I forgot, was light and smooth, complementing the sashimi well. I also ordered the seasonal live chicken at the suggestion of a regular customer, and later enjoyed grilled golden eye snapper. The sake to finish was Junmai Daiginjo, perfect for the fresh summer fish like Japanese flying squid, clams, and sea bream. After leisurely enjoying 3 cups of sake, I had 4 pieces of fresh summer fish like Japanese flying squid, clams, and sea bream, and finished with a cucumber roll. The slightly higher bill in expensive Roppongi is unavoidable, but it was worth it. Feeling good, I took a nap in a taxi while basking in the early summer sunshine.
