On the third scorching hot day, I got off at Kami-Igusa Station for the first time... It was 11:30 under the glaring sun. On such a sunny day, I couldn't help but think of my lawyer friend, ○○, who exudes a GACKT-like aura (he looks similar, so I think he's aiming for that too). A friend who happened to join a BBQ party saw ○○, wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses, surrounded by the smoke of grilled saury, and couldn't stop laughing. On one occasion, when I met ○○ for lunch, he arrived in a white shirt with the collar up and slim black pants, looking like a host from Kabukicho... but he was also holding an elegant parasol because he didn't want to get sunburned. It was so mismatched that I burst out laughing. I'm too embarrassed to use a parasol, so I usually stick to hats and sunglasses, but today, a parasol is definitely a must! In the scorching heat that made me dizzy, even though it was only a 3-minute walk from the station, wearing a mask made it hard to breathe... (;´д`) Arriving at the restaurant, I saw a sign saying "Lunchtime full." Despite making a reservation on the day, I was lucky to get a table. We were seated at a secluded table near the entrance, and I started with a Sapporo Black Label beer, followed by a crab and short pasta marinated in consommé jelly for the appetizer. For the main course, I chose pan-fried sea bream with saffron sauce. The chilled consommé jelly had a firm texture and flavor, perfectly complementing the crab and short pasta underneath. The crab was plentiful, and the slightly crunchy texture of the pasta grains added a refreshing touch. The bread and beer were also delicious. The sea bream for the main course was thick and substantial, served on a bed of multigrain-like purple rice, accompanied by crunchy green beans, okra, turnips, and carrots, creating a beautiful visual. The crispy skin of the sea bream and the tender white flesh were delightful. The beautiful yellow saffron sauce had a subtle citrusy aroma and acidity, making it truly delicious. The sea bream pan-fried cost an additional ¥800, and the beer was ¥700, bringing the total bill to ¥3,480. The restaurant was filled with groups of people who seemed to have just come from the gym and local ladies. They all talked loudly, making it quite noisy. Despite the inconvenience, the delicious food makes me want to revisit the place for sure.
