Black pork fillet cutlet set meal for ¥3181. The meat is juicy and tender, very delicious. The pickles and grated nagaimo are refreshing and tasty. However, I didn't like the pickled onions. You can choose between akadashi clam miso soup or tonjiru (pork miso soup) for the soup. I chose tonjiru, but the daikon was bitter.

Ginza's famous stores are usually closed on Sundays, so I searched and found Keitei for a meal. It is said to be a high-end Japanese cuisine establishment, so I had high expectations.
[Taste] Meat: I ordered the standard pork loin cutlet set "Tsuki" made with Echigo mochi pork at this restaurant. The cut of the meat looked rough, not straight but trapezoidal... I wonder if this was intentional... it was difficult to pick up... The meat had little fat, the frying was just right, but when I tried it, it was tough... they probably didn't tenderize or cut the sinew properly... The fat was lard and it paired well with the breading.
[Cost performance] Compared to other famous restaurants in the area, it is nearly 1000 yen more expensive for a 180-gram portion. It seems like the logic of a high-end establishment like Keitei is not really working here. Maybe the rent is high. It is Ginza after all.
[Atmosphere] The outside is noisy as it shares a floor with an event hall. Inside, there were noisy foreign children, but it seems like it would have a nice atmosphere on a regular day.
[Service] Neither good nor bad. Rice and cabbage are free refills, but I was told that clam soup is not included and comes at an additional cost.

I used Matsuya Ginza for lunch on a holiday. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and the staff were friendly. I had a refill of cabbage. You can choose between miso soup and clam soup for the soup. You can also have a refill of rice. Pickles are also included in the set. The fried food was well seasoned and delicious.

A high-end tonkatsu restaurant called Kazuyuki. I've tried various specialty tonkatsu restaurants, but ultimately this place is consistently the most delicious. It may not be highly rated by connoisseurs because it is a chain, but the tenderness of the meat and the crispy texture of the coating are clearly exceptional. It doesn't pale in comparison to famous restaurants, and the prices, while considered high-end, are not overly expensive, so the cost performance is good. The service is average. The tables and seating are spacious and relaxed. If you choose Kagoshima Kurobuta, it's fried well but still tender, with no dryness even in the fillet. The appetizers that come out before the meal are like little side dishes that make you want to keep asking for more. The only drawback is that you can't add just one more bite of Kagoshima Kurobuta when you want it. They do have Echigo Mochi Pork though.

I went to another tonkatsu restaurant but it was closed, so I went to the nearest one. The male staff member was very friendly and provided great service even though it was late. I thought we would share the 4 kinds of pickles, but each person got their own plate! We could also get unlimited rice and cabbage. The meat was tender and delicious. Thank you for the meal! ✨

Popular restaurant located on the restaurant floor of Matsuya Ginza. They offer a variety of dishes from seasonal fried foods to tonkatsu. The freshly cooked rice is delicious. You can choose between miso soup with pork or red clam miso soup. The cabbage salad is served in a separate dish and is generously portioned. You can have unlimited refills of rice, pickles, miso soup, and cabbage. The best way to enjoy the fillet cutlet is to pour the free grated daikon radish with soy sauce.

Connected building from Ginza Station Exit A12. A tonkatsu restaurant on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza. Located in the restaurant floor. The interior is spacious with a bright atmosphere at the tables and minimal lighting elsewhere, giving off a luxurious vibe. [Winter Set Meal: 2480 yen including tax] [Lunch Beer: 260 yen including tax] Seems to be a winter limited menu, consisting of 4 fried items, rice, miso soup, and pickles. Before the main dish, shredded cabbage and 4 types of pickles are served on the table, both of which are refillable. There are sesame and yuzu dressings on the table. The pickled radish was delicious! The tonkatsu main dish was indeed freshly made and tasty. It was good, but not particularly impressive. It left a slightly expensive impression for the taste. The portion size was just right. There are various a la carte menu items available, so it seems like a good place for a casual drink as well. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing a year of work, I went shopping in Ginza and had dinner. I usually have tonkatsu at Wako, but today I treated myself to something a bit more luxurious here. Although there are fewer branches in the Wako group, it is still a reliable place to eat. I enjoyed the meal.

On September 17, 2022, Saturday at 19:50, there were available seats. The service was polite, and the seating spacing was wide and comfortable. I received a free drink voucher at the Ginza Craft Direct Sales Store and used it. I had the Okinawan Agu Pork Loin Cutlet Meal for 3350 yen and the Autumn Meal for 2480 yen. The fried coating was crispy and light. Although it said 130g, the Agu pork felt bigger. You can choose between miso soup with clam red miso or pork miso soup. The meal comes with cabbage, rice, miso soup, and pickles, all of which you can have seconds of. It comes with sauce, Himalayan rock salt, and grated radish. There were four types of pickles, all of which were delicious.

Today, I was in the mood for tonkatsu, so I went to Tonkatsu Keitei at Matsuya Ginza for a tonkatsu lunch. When I arrived at the restaurant around 12 PM on a weekday, about half of the seats were already taken. The interior of the restaurant uses indirect lighting, creating a dimly lit and upscale atmosphere. The menu includes lunch sets, branded pork options, and even kaiseki meals. I ordered the Rosu Katsu set for lunch and requested miso soup with clams. First, pickles, grated daikon radish, sauce, and dressing were brought to the table. There were four types of pickles, all with a subtle flavor. After about 15 minutes of ordering, the Rosu Katsu was served. The tonkatsu had a beautifully crispy coating and a white interior with minimal fat. It came with rice, miso soup, and shredded cabbage. I enjoyed the tonkatsu with sauce and mustard. The meat was slightly tender and had a light flavor. The crispy coating and the aroma of lard enhanced the deliciousness of the tonkatsu. The rice was cooked slightly firm, and the miso soup with clams had a rich clam flavor. The shredded cabbage and grated daikon radish paired well with the yuzu dressing. Overall, it was a classic yet delicious Rosu Katsu that excelled in its details.

Tonkatsu Keitei located above the department store. The slightly firm rice is delicious. I chose miso soup from tonjiru and red miso options. The tonkatsu is light and fluffy, not heavy on oil, making it easy to eat. The prices are reasonable considering it's above a department store, so it's a favorite with high satisfaction.

I visited a tonkatsu restaurant on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza for lunch. Even though I was alone, I was seated at a table for four. The restaurant at Matsuya Ginza seems to have enough space between tables. They had limited edition pork brands like Tokyo X and Ryukyu pork, but unfortunately, they only had loin today, so I ordered the Echigo Mochibuta Fillet Katsu Yukimura (120g) for ¥2,400. The preparation before the tonkatsu arrives is luxurious. You can choose from three types of soup: clam soup, red miso soup, and tonjiru. Soup, cabbage, and rice are free for refills. They also provide four types of pickles and grated daikon radish. Although there was no salt for some reason, they brought it immediately when requested. The fillet katsu arrived in about 10 minutes. It was cut into easy-to-eat pieces. I didn't have high expectations since it's part of the Tonkatsu Washoku series, but it was very delicious. The breading was crispy, the meat was tender and juicy with a good sweetness. It was tasty enough to eat on its own, so I used salt instead of sauce. The rice was cooked to my liking, and I enjoyed it with the pork miso soup and pickles. The tonkatsu was delicious, and the side dishes and the attentive service from the staff made it a great dining experience. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Inventory organization series. A high-end restaurant in the Tonkatsu Wako Group. I visited this place out of curiosity. I won't talk about Tonkatsu Wako, but I consider it to be synonymous with vegetable oil tonkatsu. I'm not sure how popular tonkatsu is among the general public, but I personally prefer lard. Nevertheless, I still think the tonkatsu here is delicious. Now, how should tonkatsu be eaten? For young people, they might eat one piece with a bowl of rice. Many might pour sauce over a juicy loin cutlet and bounce it onto the rice to eat. It's a common scene of a mischievous boy's meal. Of course, I used to eat like that too. Until the curse was cast. It was some time ago. My partner and I both love tonkatsu and used to go around trying tonkatsu restaurants. My partner is quite picky about rice, distinguishing between "delicious side dishes" and "side dishes that go well with rice." It was over 10 years ago, at a tonkatsu restaurant, my partner said, "I want less rice." Even though they love tonkatsu. And after finishing the delicious tonkatsu, I ended up eating almost all the rice. As we left the restaurant, I asked, "Was the rice not that good?" And they replied, "Tonkatsu is like bread, you don't eat bread with rice." And I was dumbfounded. I understood. Since then, I couldn't enjoy rice with tonkatsu. Not only tonkatsu but also dishes coated in breadcrumbs, even fried chicken and tempura, I couldn't enjoy rice with them anymore. Oh well, I got carried away with a completely unrelated story. The high-end restaurant at Wako was very delicious. The tonkatsu fried in vegetable oil had a slightly unsatisfying but refreshing taste. The spacious table was also a great feature. One thing that disappointed me was that you couldn't get a refill of miso soup. One of the highlights of Wako is the ability to get refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage, so it was a bit of a letdown. It's not often you get the chance to have rice at Ginza Matsuya, so it was a fun experience. Thank you for the meal.

I used to get excited as a child just by being told we were going to have a meal at the department store. Even now, that feeling comes back vividly to me. This place is somewhere I visited a few years ago. As I enjoyed my meal, I felt like I was checking off a list of things I remembered from before. I chose the one-bite tenderloin cutlet set meal. The set came with cabbage, pickles, and unlimited rice refills! There were two types of dressing for the cabbage - yuzu and sesame - both delicious! The pickles were also amazing - crunchy and refreshing. Just the rice and pickles alone would have been satisfying enough for a meal. The miso soup was also delicious. As for the cutlet, the batter was intentionally thick, giving it a soft and fluffy texture when you bite into it. It wasn't heavy or tough to chew. The grated radish served in a round shape, almost like ice cream, was a nice refreshing touch. After the meal, they served hojicha tea, which was a nice way to end the meal.

[What's on the table] There are only paper napkins on the table. When you order, they will bring you sauces, salt, mustard, soy sauce, sesame dressing, yuzu ponzu, etc.
[Location] It is located on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza Department Store.
[Interior] The spacious interior has wooden dividers between the table seats.
[Purchasing method] Sit down, look at the menu, and place your order. Payment is done afterwards.
[Impressions] The pickles were delicious! Even though it's a tonkatsu restaurant, I have to praise the pickles first. Four types of pickles were served as the first appetizer, each with a strong flavor. You can freely refill the pickles, cabbage, rice, and miso soup. You can choose between clam soup or pork soup for the miso soup. It's a comfortable space for dining with others, and the all-you-can-eat option allows you to leisurely enjoy your meal (laughs). It was nice that they also provided sesame dressing and yuzu ponzu for the cabbage, which is somewhat unusual for a tonkatsu restaurant. The tonkatsu itself had a crispy coating and was delicious. I ordered the limited edition "Ryukyu Pork" because it had a cool name and it turned out to be tender and easy to eat. After the meal, a cute teacup with hojicha tea was served, making it a satisfying experience. Thank you for the meal.

This is a restaurant review for a high-end tonkatsu restaurant located on the 8th floor dining area of the Matsuya Ginza main store. The restaurant aims for a luxurious feel but the tonkatsu itself was average. The set menu for two people priced at 4580 yen includes Echigo mochi pork loin katsu, Echigo mochi pork and asparagus roll katsu, wagyu and black pork menchi katsu, shrimp fry, chawanmushi, choice of two drinks, and a bite-sized fillet katsu (limited time service from August 12 to 18). The restaurant's concept focuses on the basics of food, with a strong commitment to traditional flavors. The cooking method is characterized by stubborn attention to detail and refined craftsmanship, with no compromise allowed. The restaurant offers a fusion of tonkatsu and Japanese cuisine, using domestically sourced brand pork as the main ingredient. The wide tables in the spacious dining area allow for a relaxed dining experience, making it a recommended choice for family gatherings or those looking for a calm atmosphere to enjoy their meal. "Keitei" is the ultimate tonkatsu specialty restaurant born from the long history of the Washoku Group, offering a selection of meticulously chosen ingredients for the main tonkatsu dish and seasonal side dishes.

- Hirakatsu-don (deep-fried pork cutlet on rice) for 1,391 yen
- Oolong tea for 354 yen
Established in Kawasaki in October 1958, "Tonkatsu Washo" was founded as a high-end tonkatsu specialty restaurant that combines Japanese and tonkatsu cuisine. "Keitei" has branches in Matsuya Ginza, Takashimaya S.C. Futakotamagawa, Towers Plaza Nagoya, Takashimaya Kyoto, and Namba Dining Maison Namba. From the lunch menu, I chose the "hirakatsu-don," which comes with the option of free extra rice and a choice of miso soup or clam soup. The service follows a veggie-first approach, with cabbage and pickles served before the main dish. The meal was presented in an elegant bento box, but the tonkatsu tasted average, while the broth was decently flavorful.

Ginza Matsuya. It was crowded everywhere during lunchtime on a weekday, so I decided to visit here where I could get in relatively quickly. I ordered the lunch menu's pork cutlet set for 1550 yen. It's a bit pricey for a tonkatsu. After a while, the pickles arrived. There were various types, which was nice, but the presentation seemed a bit sloppy. The cabbage was okay. However, it was served in a separate dish, which made it feel a bit bland. I would have preferred it to be served together with the tonkatsu. Now, the tonkatsu itself was okay. It was thick and the breading was tasty. But for some reason, it started to feel a bit heavy as I ate. Maybe it's because of my age, or maybe I just prefer a thinner cut these days. In the end, I couldn't finish it all and had to give up. Overall, it wasn't outstanding, but it wasn't terrible either.
