I had used Yoshino Sushi near Seibu Ikebukuro Line Akitsu Station for dinner and takeout several times, but I had never been there for lunch before. This time, I was the first customer to arrive at opening time and sat at the counter seat. I ordered the large assorted sushi set which included 8 pieces of nigiri sushi, 1 roll, and a small portion of Inaniwa udon. The Inaniwa udon can be changed to miso soup or clear soup. The nigiri sushi had toppings like tuna, salmon, scallop, and egg. The sushi rice was slightly sticky due to the strong sweetness of the vinegar, but the thick toppings balanced out the flavor nicely. I thought it might be too strong, but it was actually quite delicious. The scallop topping was particularly tasty and I really enjoyed it. The roll was filled with plum and cucumber, giving it a perfect acidity for summer. The one-bite Inaniwa udon had a good amount of noodles, more than I had expected, which was great. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you very much!

I stopped by Yoshinosushi, a little walk from Akitsu Station. The handwritten menu was difficult to understand due to the neat handwriting of the prices, but I ordered ✱Fresh oysters✱Assorted vinegar dishes✱Seared mackerel sushi rolls with pickled ginger. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The vinegar dishes showed fine craftsmanship and were all tasty, leaving me very satisfied. I especially enjoyed the balance of the seared mackerel sushi rolls with the fragrant seared mackerel and the accent of pickled ginger. There were many appealing menu items that caught my eye, and I would like to take my time to try various dishes. If I ever feel like eating sushi around Akitsu, I would consider visiting here. Compared to the traditional Edo-style sushi, this sushi had a higher ratio of vinegar rice. Nowadays, many sushi places have a lower ratio of vinegar rice, with the focus more on the fish. This restaurant is located in a shopping street near Seibu Ikebukuro Line "Akitsu" Station and JR Musashino Line "Shin-Akitsu" Station. The signage outside varies from "Sushi Kappo Yoshino" to "Sushi Yoshino" to "Yoshino Sushi." On different websites, it is also referred to as "Sushi Edomae Yoshino," "Sushi Kappo Yoshino," and "Yoshino Sushi." Interestingly, on food review websites like Tabelog, it is referred to as "Yoshino Sushi." The lunch set "Large Nigiri Lunch" (1,080 yen) includes 8 pieces of nigiri sushi and a small bowl of Inaniwa udon. The udon was served warm, and it was possible to change it to miso soup or clear soup. The sushi included tuna, red snapper, fatty tuna, salmon, squid, snow crab leg meat, tobiko gunkan, and tamago. The quality of the tuna was good, although there were slight signs of thawing. Overall, the sushi had a high level of craftsmanship and a strong flavor, reminiscent of traditional Edo-style sushi. I stopped by casually with a friend and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was like a traditional sushi place. We ordered omakase sushi and it was delicious. I thought there would be more variety in the side dishes for drinking, but there were only a few options which was a bit disappointing. The sushi was delicious no matter which one you tried.

Visited for a lunch date with my wife. A sushi restaurant located near Akitsu Station, with mainly drinking establishments lining the street. Felt a bit nervous upon entering as the interior couldn't be seen from outside. However, the inside was well-organized and clean, giving off a proper sushi restaurant vibe without any gimmicks. Ordered the sushi lunch set. The freshness of the ingredients was decent, and for the price of under 1000 yen, the value for money was quite high. Thank you for the meal. Will visit again.

I visited a restaurant a little after 12:00 pm and noticed there were 2 seats at the counter and tables, with a tatami area in the back and possibly a second floor. They didn't seem to be serving lunch, so I ordered a large mixed sushi set. The rice and fish were decently sized, not bad but not exceptional. For lunch, they offer 8 pieces of sushi with umeshiso rolls, along with a choice of hot Inaniwa udon, miso soup, or clear soup, all for less than ¥1,000. Overall, it's a decent lunch option.

I had known about this place for a while, and finally had the chance to visit. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the cheerful chef and seated at the counter. It was a hot and humid day, so I started with a refreshing draft beer. The appetizer had a crunchy texture and a refreshing taste that was perfect for the weather. In addition to sashimi, they also offer a variety of seafood and vegetable dishes. I decided to try the simmered new potatoes and the fresh horse mackerel sashimi. The new potatoes were perfectly cooked with a light seasoning that allowed the natural flavor to shine through. The horse mackerel sashimi was freshly prepared and had a juicy texture with a hint of sweetness. Both the chef and the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it easy to enjoy my drinks and food. I switched to cold sake and ordered a plate of nigiri sushi as my final dish. The sushi rice had a chewy texture and a subtle vinegar flavor that paired well with the fatty fish toppings. After enjoying my beer, sake, and the dishes mentioned above, the total bill came to around 6,500 yen. Today, I was working in Saitama from the morning. While transferring from the Seibu Ikebukuro Line to the Musashino Line, I decided to stop by a restaurant. It was around 12 o'clock and all the major chain stores were almost full. I was considering my options when I stumbled upon this restaurant with only one customer at the counter. I wanted to take my time, so I decided to go in. Although I was alone, I chose a table for four instead of sitting at the counter. I looked at the menu on the table and decided to order the "Negi Tekka Don" for ¥990 including tax. It came with udon, so I didn't need to order a large portion. The dish was ready in about 10 minutes. The restaurant quickly filled up while I waited. When the dish arrived, I was a bit disappointed by the portion size, but at least there was udon. The udon portion was unexpectedly small. I quickly ate the udon and moved on to the tekka don. It was supposed to have 6 pieces of fish, but they varied in size. Some were decent while others were quite small. The amount of rice underneath the fish was also not enough to balance out the fish. The fish was fresh, but the akami (lean tuna) wasn't particularly flavorful. Looking back at my review from two years ago, although the size of the udon hadn't changed, the overall value for money seemed to have declined. When it came time to pay, I noticed a 5% cashback promotion poster and a PayPay QR code. I decided to pay with PayPay, but was surprised to find out that they only accepted cash during lunchtime. It was disappointing that they didn't mention this anywhere. It made me question the purpose of the cashless 5% cashback promotion they were advertising. The restaurant's handling of the situation was disappointing.

I had a reservation for seats only at an early evening time due to a celebration request. I ordered the chef's choice sushi set from the premium menu. It was a total of 12 pieces of beautifully crafted sushi with a rich variety of colors, served with a soup. The satisfaction matched the price, and I was pleased with the experience as the restaurant gradually filled up.

The Musashino Line and Seibu Ikebukuro Line transfer, you have to walk a little between Akitsu and Shin-Akitsu, and the foot traffic in this area is incredible. Recently, new shops have been popping up one after another, so if you don't go for a while, you might get lost wandering around. A couple walking around while looking lost stopped by for lunch. Of course, they did their research beforehand and found a very beautiful restaurant. They sat at the counter at the back, and when they looked up to the right, they saw a display of premium domestic whiskey neatly arranged. It was immaculately clean with no speck of dust. They love this type of restaurant and had high expectations. They ordered a large sushi platter and a draft beer. It comes with udon, but you can change it for miso soup or clear soup, but they chose udon. Since they might be coming home late today, they wanted to make sure they had enough energy. The beer with fine bubbles was delicious. The sushi was a bit tightly packed, almost like pressed sushi. It might be a matter of preference, but it had a good balance of vinegar rice and toppings. When they go to a sushi restaurant, they always end up thinking about what to drink and go through the menu one by one. Their conversation was all about alcohol, so the chef specially brought out the drink menu for them. They have an incredible amount of stock. They can't not come back at night with just one train ride! Thank you for the meal. They will come back at night.

I went to this sushi restaurant for lunch on November 24th. It is located in a shopping street that connects Seibu Ikebukuro Line's Akitsu Station to JR Shin-Akitsu Station. It seems to be run by a couple. The entrance has a kitchen and a counter with 9 seats in an L-shape on the left, and table seats with 4.4 seats on the right, with a raised seating area at the back with 1 table and 4 seats. It was my first visit, and I ordered the interesting menu item, the seared chirashi with udon for 972 yen, limited to 10 servings. There were no other customers when I arrived, and the dish was served to me in just 6 minutes. The chirashi had 2 pieces each of shrimp, tuna, salmon, and scallop, all seared and seasoned. The sushi rice had a strong vinegar flavor. The udon soup was rich and flavorful, with thin noodles that were smooth and easy to eat. The value for the seared chirashi was calculated to be 1.08, with a rating of 3.3 out of 5. This restaurant seems to be the only one I know that offers this unique seared chirashi dish. I went to this sushi restaurant on the way from Akitsu Station to Shin-Akitsu Station for lunch with a friend. We were seated in a small raised tatami room. They also have seating on the second floor, but the first floor has a counter, table seating, and the small raised tatami room that can accommodate about 6 people. During lunchtime, they offer reasonably priced sets. I chose the sushi and Inaniwa udon set. The udon can be changed to miso soup as well. The sushi and udon arrived in about 10 minutes. The udon was served in a small bowl. The sushi included tuna, salmon, and rolls. The rice in the sushi was perfectly fluffy and delicious! The craftsmanship of the sushi chef really shines through. Every piece was delicious, but the tuna belly was especially tasty. The udon was smooth and delicious. Everything I tried was delicious. The service was not overly attentive but not unfriendly either. This created a comfortable atmosphere where you can truly enjoy the sushi. I would like to visit again at night next time.

This is "Sushi Kappo Yoshinosushi" located in Akitsucho, 5-chome, Higashimurayama City, Tokyo. The nearest station is Akitsu Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. It is also relatively close to Shin-Akitsu Station on the JR Musashino Line. I visited "Sushi Kappo Yoshinosushi" for lunch. I was thinking of having a meal before transferring from Akitsu Station to Shin-Akitsu Station, and I happened to come across "Sushi Kappo Yoshinosushi". It was late lunchtime, so I decided to go in right away. When I entered the restaurant, there were no other customers probably because it was close to closing time. I informed them that I was dining alone, and they directed me to a seat at the counter. I chose the Ooiri Chirashi (with 8 pieces of sushi) for 982 yen (1080 yen). It comes with a bite-sized Inaniwa udon, but I was able to change it to clear soup, so I opted for that. The chirashi included salmon, shrimp, scallop, tuna, egg, and conger eel, and it paired well with the vinegared rice. I remember the taste being relatively good. Considering that it also came with soup for 1080 yen, I felt like it was quite a good deal. Along the way from Akitsu Station to Shin-Akitsu Station, there were quite a few dining options, but I noticed that many were chain restaurants. It's nice to see individual restaurants like "Sushi Kappo Yoshinosushi" working hard in such an environment. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Since Showa 35, the restaurant has been passed down to the second and third generations. If you want to enjoy authentic sushi, this place might be perfect for you. However, they also offer unique and innovative dishes that reflect the owner's passion. The variety of drinks available is also impressive. I left feeling completely satisfied.
