Haneda Airport International Terminal. I don't come here often, so I don't know what's available, but I'm getting hungry and need to eat something. The ramen shop has a long line. The yakiniku restaurant seems accessible, but the smell is a bit strong. Sukiyaki looks delicious, but I might end up craving rice, which could make me feel heavy. Sushi... let's skip the conveyor belt sushi. I had oden last time... When I think about it, I can't decide on anything and start feeling like I can't eat anything. A little further down, oh? There are take-out specialty shops lined up. You can buy from the shop and eat at the nearby tables, and some items are even allowed for in-flight carry-on. Wow, you can get various items like oden and tempura for take-out! Looking further back, there's a sushi restaurant! The chef is making sushi behind the counter. And there's a tremendous open-air feeling (laughs). You can order various items starting from one piece. If I'm alone, I'll sit at the counter. The tea... is in tea bags, and you can serve yourself with hot water from the counter... Isn't this like conveyor belt sushi? (laughs) There's a tablet in front of you, and you can order with it. Even though there's a chef in front of you... you order with this tablet? Oh... but you can choose the language and there are explanations in photos and various languages. For a moment, I thought it was a bit impersonal... but my feelings quickly changed! This is wonderful. No matter where you're from, you can order with confidence. And you can easily see your order history, what you ordered at what time! Is this actually a good system? First, I'll have a small beer, please. And for sushi, I'll have natural tuna, medium fatty tuna, flounder, red clam, button shrimp, and rolled omelet. The quality of the ingredients isn't top-notch, but you can taste the unique characteristics of each ingredient at a decent level. The sushi rice uses red vinegar, but it's not very red. It's a bit soft and has a lot of moisture, so some people may have mixed feelings about it. I'll enjoy the chilled beer and eat the sushi. Even people who came in later are struggling with the tablet operation, but the staff are providing polite support, so they can order smoothly. At first, I thought it was a bit mechanical and lacked the charm of a sushi restaurant... but in this location, having sushi that anyone can eat without any trouble before departing is very efficient and convenient. Since I'll be eating alone, I won't stay long (laughs). I thought take-out would be lonely, but surprisingly, foreign visitors are enjoying it without hesitation, so maybe this is the way to go? I felt that way (*´▽`*) Thank you for the meal today!
