The other day, I couldn't take a lunch break again during the office day, so I ended up not eating breakfast or lunch, and left the office a little earlier than usual, so I took a stroll on Dojima-zaka and happened to see a place called "Ore-Style Salt Ramen" so I decided to try it out. There was a ticket machine outside, so if there were no other people waiting, you could take your time to choose, which was convenient. I chose the "Special Ore-Style Salt Ramen (1000 yen)" which was recommended on the top left of the ticket machine. I also ordered the "Shiso Gyoza (490 yen)" out of hunger and the "Garlic Ketchup Rice with Egg (490 yen)" which looked like omurice in the photo and caught my eye. As I entered the shop, I realized that this place is also located in Center-gai. However, the entrance is bright and welcoming compared to the narrow entrance of Center-gai, making it easier to enter. The ramen comes in rich, light, or spicy options, and I chose the rich flavor. The soup served was a white soup that seemed to contain milk or soy milk, and it had a creamy texture. It tasted like chicken-based broth, I think. Overall, the ramen didn't have any distinctive features, but it felt safe and comforting. However, this shop offers an amazing variety of free toppings! "Rock seaweed", "Shredded kelp", "Ume plum", "Yuzu pepper", "Ore-Style Chili Oil", and "Ore-Style Marinated Garlic", a total of 6 impressive options. Honestly, I wasn't that interested in the last three toppings, but I was delighted to find out that rock seaweed, shredded kelp, and especially the ume plum were provided for free. So, I enjoyed adding these three toppings while eating. Maybe the reason it's called "Ore-Style" is because of these toppings. The gyoza was small but well-cooked with a crispy skin and a hint of shiso, making it delicious. The Garlic Ketchup Rice with Egg looked like a small bowl of omurice with a runny egg on top, and the garlic flavor was strong, giving it a junk food vibe. The rice was packed tightly, so it was more filling than it looked. I really liked the free toppings, but I hesitate to revisit... The service was polite, but the staff chatting over each other's heads was a bit distracting in terms of the dining environment. And above all, the interior of the restaurant was too hot. I overheard the staff talking about the air conditioning being broken and unable to be fixed immediately due to certain circumstances... I hope the air conditioning gets fixed soon for the sake of the staff's well-being. Sweating profusely after finishing my meal, when I stepped outside, it felt like heaven. I pray for a quick repair of the air conditioning for the sake of the staff.
