Mitaka's high-end yakiniku restaurant "Yakiniku Gyugyu" is expanding its hamburger brand! They use A5 rank wagyu beef, which is also served at their yakiniku restaurant, and their meaty premium patties are very popular. The buns are from the famous bakery "AOSAN," possibly due to their previous connection with a yakiniku restaurant in Sengawa. The burgers are simple, with just a bun and a patty starting at 500 yen, making them very affordable. Today, I ordered the most popular "Gyugyu Burger (1,000 yen)" with "French Fries (200 yen)" on the side. The "Gyugyu Burger" consists of a bun, two patties, cheese, tomato, and lettuce, and it is 150 yen cheaper than ordering each topping separately. The two patties make it even more filling. The sauce is subtle, not too heavy, and you really feel like you're eating meat. The buns from "AOSAN" have a fragrant wheat aroma, living up to their reputation. Thank you for the meal.

This is a hamburger shop located in a residential area halfway between Kichijoji and Tsutsujigaoka. Initially it was take-out only, but now you can eat in the adjacent dining area. The small hut, made with a spirit of service, has a homemade feel, and while I hesitate to ask for extravagance, I wish the air conditioning worked better. There is one outdoor terrace table, and it's nice to eat here when the weather is good. The "Gyugyu Burger" features a double patty, cheese, tomato, and lettuce toppings, priced at 1000 yen (reduced from 1150 yen), which is a great deal. You can also add fried potatoes and ginger ale for 390 yen. The buns are made by the popular bakery AOSAN in Sengawa. But the highlight of this hamburger shop is the Japanese beef used in the patties. The double patty is made of thickly ground Japanese beef, giving it a rich and delicious flavor. For the price of 1000 yen, the taste is excellent. Looking at their Instagram, they have a variety of offerings including a Cuban sandwich featured in the movie "Chef", a refreshing "Grated Shiso Burger" available in July, fried potatoes made with mashed potatoes called "Touya", and a luxurious BBQ rice burger with black wagyu beef. It's a burger shop that is dedicated to research and development.

I was driving from Koshu Kaido through Anritsu University Hospital to Higashi-Hachi Road when I noticed a blue shack across from Gourmet City Mitaka Nakahara store, and there was a line forming! Upon closer inspection, I saw the sign "GYUGYU BURGER". Right next to it is the popular "Yakiniku Gyugyu" Mitaka Honten. I have visited the Sengawa store a few times. The beef used in the burgers at "Gyugyu" is A5 black wagyu from their own shop, and they use original buns from the popular bakery "AOSAN" in Sengawa. No wonder there is always a line, even though it's far from the station. I visited with a friend. Initially, it was takeout only, but they soon built a small dining area next to it. After placing our order, we were given a vibrating device and waited 12 minutes in the dining area before being called to pay. We paid at the counter. They accept various payment methods, including credit cards. Since there are no large trays, it's a bit inconvenient to carry the food. My friend ordered a cheeseburger for 600 yen with an additional tomato for 100 yen, and a side of coleslaw and iced coffee for 390 yen. I ordered a cheeseburger for 600 yen with an additional lettuce for 100 yen, and a side of potato and ginger ale for 390 yen. Each set cost 1,090 yen. The burgers were small but delicious. The juicy beef from Gyugyu and the tasty buns from AOSAN make for an unbeatable combination. Despite the location and limited hours, it's only a matter of time before the lines get even longer!

The popular yakiniku restaurant in Chofu has opened a hamburger shop. The buns are made by the popular bread shop AOSAN in Sengawa. The burger patty is 100% wagyu beef. The size of the burger is small. I visited the shop on a Sunday around 1:15 pm. There were about 3 groups of customers waiting in line. It took about 15 minutes to receive my order without a reservation. It's better to order ahead before shopping. Since it's a takeout-only shop, I ate the burger about 20 minutes later. The size is slightly smaller than a pocket tissue, easy to eat on the go. It was tasty and convenient, but the cost performance was so-so.

The owner of a local famous yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant opened a new hamburger shop nearby. Since they use meat sourced from the yakiniku restaurant, it's bound to be delicious... but isn't 500 yen per burger a bit too good of a deal?! With gourmet burgers in Tokyo nearing 2000 yen, getting a double patty for only 1000 yen and receiving change back is making the local residents envious!
