Akasaka Lunch Series
Yoshiko-san offers a weekly lunch menu available only during lunchtime. This day, I chose the Italian stir-fried pork and vegetables. A regular customer sitting next to me mentioned that the cold pasta they were having was the most delicious pasta they had ever eaten. They said it will be available again next week, so I must go. I have only been twice so far, but each dish has been delicious, making me a repeat customer for sure.

I visited alone around 12:30 on a regular day. There was one customer before me and no customers after. It seems like a bar at night. I ordered the seafood doria and waited for about 10 minutes. The doria looked small at first glance, but it had a good amount due to the deep dish, and the cheesy topping stayed hot for a long time. The salad also had a surprisingly generous portion, so I felt satisfied. I would definitely consider revisiting. I paid in cash.

The story of having lunch in Akasaka. I found a lunch announcement while walking under the building, which is located along Misuji Street near Akasaka Mitsuke. It is a bar in the dining building "Akasaka 40th Building". It is only open on Thursdays and Fridays. The building houses bars, salons, and other establishments. The lunch at the bar is called "yoco lunch" and it is located on the 3rd floor. When you get off the elevator, most of the shops are for nighttime, so there are no other open shops on the same floor except for the one with the lights on at the end. This is "shot & wine Nbar". When you enter, it has a typical bar atmosphere with a dimly lit and chic interior. There are only 8 seats at the counter, and there was one male customer who seemed to be a regular. Inside the counter area, there is a woman who appears to be the owner. The menu includes: - Classic Meat Omelette Plate (with salad) Rice 170g @800 / Rice 200g @900 Cheese topping @100 (all prices include tax) - Mushroom and Chicken Curry (with salad) (limited to 5 servings) Rice 170g @800 / Rice 200g @900 - Set Drink Ice + @100 Hot + @300 - Drinks (individual): Iced Coffee, Oolong Tea, Green Tea, Orange Juice each @300 Hot Coffee, Hot Black Tea each @500 If you order food with a set, it's ▲200 off. I ordered the Classic Meat Omelette Plate (with salad) Rice 170g @800 (tax included). Cold water and a wet towel were served. WIFI is available. The cooking started in the kitchen at the back. After 6 minutes, the dish arrived on a large wooden round plate with Meat Omelette, salad, and marinated purple cabbage. The salad was abundant with various leafy greens such as lettuce. The homemade soy-based dressing was delicious. The marinated purple cabbage had a gentle flavor. The main dish, the Meat Omelette, had a fluffy omelette on top of the rice with diced tomatoes. Under the fluffy omelette, there was a meat sauce. The balance between the meat sauce and the fluffy egg was just right. The sliced tomatoes added a refreshing touch. The rice was cooked just right, not too soft. The meat sauce was not too strong, allowing the egg flavor to shine through. I felt that the rice portion was a bit small, but it was just right after finishing the meal. The taste was good, so I would like to try other items on the menu next time.
