The course for two people was not great, the 90-item course in the middle felt like it was deteriorating at the counter, with no backrests. Overall, the seats were small and not comfortable. The meat was okay, but there was a lot of smoke filling the room due to poor ventilation. If you're going to Akabane, it's better to go to a nearby izakaya instead.

Ordering was super quick, and the food arrived in no time! The meat was so-so, but I really enjoyed the side dishes, they were fun and tasty. I had a great time with the all-you-can-eat option for around 4000 yen. It was a strict 2-hour limit, and they brought the bill and warned us that there would be an extra charge for extending our stay, which was surprising. It's like karaoke with a seating fee, haha.

It is located on top of the hot vegetables of shabu-shabu. Be careful of the steps when entering and leaving, especially at night, as the entrance and aisles are narrow. I think the taste is the same as other stores. The slightly strong seasoning and the delicious Gyu-Kaku ice cream for the finish are good. I think the customer service at the store is good.

After soccer. First place. All-you-can-eat and drink but not worth it.

I went with friends. We ordered kalbi, negi gyutan, pork belly, loin, harami, rice, oolong tea, and ice. We went about 3 times. It was delicious but... I didn't like that the person next to me was smoking.

Delicious. Especially the tongue. Thick and tasty.

On February 23, 2014, at 4:00 PM, my wife, two children, and I went to Gyukaku in Akabane. We had coupons that allowed us to enjoy beer, Negitan, and loin for only 390 yen, which was a great deal. We sat in the back tatami area, which was convenient with small children. By 6:00 PM, the restaurant started getting crowded with a waiting line forming. We ordered four servings of the discounted Negitan salt and loin, one Family Kalbi, seven beers, and two children's juices for 100 yen each. We also won two Gyukaku ice creams in a lucky draw. With all that, the total bill of 6,500 yen was quite reasonable. The taste was typical Gyukaku, consistent across all branches. I always find their flavors to be rich and strong.

The yakiniku sauce at this restaurant is so good that any meat you eat will be delicious. It's a shame that they were out of beef tripe when I went there after a long time. Since it's a yakiniku restaurant, I'm sure everyone enjoys eating meat, so I recommend trying the cold noodles as a side dish. They are really tasty. When you don't have much of an appetite, try the plum and shiso cold noodles, they go down smoothly. They offer all-you-can-drink alcohol for under 1000 yen, as well as all-you-can-drink soft drinks, so even if you're not into all-you-can-eat, adding the drink option might be worth it. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal. Oh, and I recommend getting a small size for the rice. The medium size is like a bowlful, so be careful (laughs).

From the east exit of Akabane Station, it's a short walk away, not exactly "Ekichika". But being a neighborhood with many izakayas, Akabane is always crowded whenever you go. It might be difficult to make a reservation if you call on Thursday for a booking on Friday, so it's better to make an early reservation. The grilled dishes and other menu items are the same as other Gyu-Kaku branches, and I love the addictive salted cabbage and green onion salted tongue. There are plenty of non-beef menu items to choose from, making it fun to decide which one to order. The portion sizes are just right, so it's also good for those who are more focused on drinking. The staff are all energetic and even when it's busy, they seem to be enjoying serving customers, which also puts you in a good mood.

It's hard to imagine now, but there was a time when going to a yakiniku restaurant was a big deal. Recently, I've lost interest in yakiniku itself, as the smell of beef can be off-putting depending on the meat. However, there is a well-known chain operated by Prime Link that has managed to change the image of yakiniku restaurants and attract a wide range of customers from family restaurants. The restaurants may feel cramped, but the service is energetic, provided by young staff members. They offer decent tasting food at affordable prices, making it a great place to hang out with colleagues from work.
