Exit the north exit of Hatagaya Station on the Keio New Line, walk about 3 minutes towards Shinjuku on Koshu Kaido, and you will find a burger restaurant called "Burger Stand Plug" in a relatively new building just a little past the New Niigata Soy Ginger Ramen, Gamushara. I visited for the first time around 2 pm on a day off. The exterior of the restaurant is made of exposed concrete, and you have to go down the stairs to the basement floor to enter. Inside, there is a stylish American atmosphere with a spacious space, including 4 two-person tables, sofa seats, and a counter. Pets are also allowed. The menu is divided into categories such as Special, Standard, Cheese, Chicken, and Seafood burgers, with prices starting from 1,080 yen to 1,180 yen for options like Teriyaki Chicken, Tartar Fish, and American Classic. Other burgers are priced just under 2,000 yen, with the standout being the Fujiyama Burger at 4,980 yen, which piqued my interest. Toppings are plentiful, and there are also sides like fries and onion rings, as well as shakes. They also serve alcoholic beverages. After some consideration, I decided to try the Macaroni & Cheese Burger from the Special menu. The Macaroni & Cheese Burger costs 1,680 yen. While waiting, the delicious smell of the patty being grilled during the cooking process made my mouth water. The dish was served in about 10 minutes, and it came with fries on the side. The burger had a towering appearance, with the patty topped with macaroni and cheese overflowing. I took a bite, and the patty was incredibly thick, juicy, and satisfying to chew. The bun was thick and toasted, with a soft interior. The creamy cheese and ample macaroni also added to the overall experience. Since there were no vegetables in the burger, I felt like I was indulging in a hearty meal. They accept payment through methods like PayPay and other QR code payments and electronic money. I enjoyed the cheese, so I plan to come back next time to try the Niagara Burger, which features a cheese waterfall design.
