After eating ramen at the famous Godaza at How Toonbo, we visited "Mosuke Dango Haneda Airport Garden Store," which opened on January 31, 2023, on the 1st floor of Haneda Airport Garden at 2-7-1 Haneda Airport 2-chome in Ota-ku, Tokyo. We purchased a set of 4 dango sticks for 840 yen. The set includes one stick of red bean paste dango, one stick of smooth bean paste dango, and two sticks of soy sauce dango. The red bean paste and smooth bean paste dango sticks each had 3 dumplings, while the soy sauce dango sticks had 4 dumplings each. Mosuke Dango is a long-established shop that was founded in 1898. The Haneda Airport Garden store is located between Haneda Airport Terminal 3 and the Airport Garden, on the 2nd-floor connecting passage. In addition to the dango sets, they offer a variety of traditional Japanese sweets, including 5 types of yokan, limited edition fresh sweets, grass daifuku, bean daifuku, and other confections like dorayaki and anko pie. The dango we tried had a not-too-sweet taste, with red beans sourced from Tokachi, Hokkaido. The soy sauce dango had a simple, rustic flavor. These traditional dango make great souvenirs. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

First of all, the taste of Mitarashi dango here is Kansai-style and I personally found it extremely delicious. This shop offers both takeout and dine-in options, which I think is very convenient. The prices are a bit on the higher side, typical of Haneda Airport, but the presentation is beautiful and I think it's a nice place to take foreign visitors. The Mitarashi dango has a strong sweetness which I really enjoyed. I definitely want to visit this shop again next time I come to Haneda Airport!

I am very happy when I find a dish that is good for my health, delicious, and makes me feel happy (о´∀`о). I visited Mochisuke Dango this time in search of such dishes. This time, I had the dango set. When they had a shop in Tsukiji in the past, I used to visit often. Eating dango in the fish market was very stylish. It brings back memories~ I will come back again♪

The set of three dumplings where you can choose two with a drink for 720 yen. I chose hot coffee instead of matcha since they served green tea as a service. I chose dumplings with smooth red bean paste and soy sauce. The soy sauce dumpling was warm and fluffy, maybe it was microwaved. The other dumpling with red bean paste was just as delicious, with a light and not too sweet taste. Both were small and disappeared quickly. My friend's sweet red bean soup was also delicious, and she couldn't stop thinking about it later. I bought milk manju and chestnut manju as souvenirs since dumplings and dorayaki were only available until the same day. I tried them a few days later, and both were gentle and tasty. Especially, the candied chestnuts inside the chestnut manju had a wonderful flavor, unlike the overly sweet ones in jars, it was truly amazing!

On this day of the weekend, I accompanied my friend to do some shopping at Haneda Airport. While we were there, we decided to check out the new commercial facility that opened at the end of January called "Haneda Airport Garden". I was expecting to find the usual trendy and flashy stores, but it turns out there was a section called "Japan Promenade" with 15 shops offering traditional Japanese products and crafts. Among them, I discovered a traditional dumpling shop that has been in business for over 120 years. They usually only had stores in Toyosu Market and Ginza Matsuya, so it was nice to see them here. I bought a soy sauce-flavored dumpling for myself and a sweet red bean paste one for my friend, both priced at 210 yen each. We sat on a bench along the corridor from the third terminal to the hotel building and enjoyed the dumplings. The soy sauce one had a nice burnt flavor and the chewy texture of the dumpling was delicious. The red bean paste filling was also quite tasty. It made me realize that this dumpling shop is on par with the famous Tsujiri in Shinjuku. It was a smart move to bring them here. I am curious to explore more of this facility, including the restaurants. It's interesting to note that this development was done by Sumitomo Realty, a different player from the usual developers like Mitsui Fudosan or Mitsubishi Estate.

Haneda Airport Terminal 3 has a new spot called Airport Garden with various shops lined up. We had eel for lunch and although we were quite full, we were craving something sweet. We remembered seeing delicious dumplings on the way here. So, we decided to buy some dumplings to take home. As we approached "Moso Dango Haneda Airport Garden Store," we noticed that there is a cafe attached where you can enjoy anmitsu and dumplings. Since we had some time to spare, we decided to eat here as well. I ordered an iced coffee and my friend ordered the Traveling Anmitsu. The anmitsu was quite generous in portion, so we got a separate plate to share. The Flying Anmitsu had a variety of flavors like cookies shaped like airplanes, mochi, agar, pineapple, red bean paste, matcha ice cream, apricot, and salted soybeans. And of course, the famous dumplings from Moso were also included. It was a luxurious combination of flavors. We first tried it as it is. Wow, a collaboration of various levels of sweetness, with hints of saltiness from the salted soybeans and acidity from the fruits. You can enjoy different flavors at each bite. And the dumplings were delicious, as expected from Moso. Once we had eaten a bit, we decided to try it with black honey. It added a rich sweetness to create a whole new experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Oh, I'm so full. Honestly, I couldn't have finished this alone (sweat). Well, it's time to head back to Terminal 2. This Tokyo (slightly Kofu) business trip and mini vacation was very fulfilling for the past 4 days. Next time in Tokyo will be in May. Let's start planning as soon as we get back to Takamatsu (´∀`)

"Many shops open at 10:00 am, but 'Moso Dango' opens at 8:00 am, which can be a benefit if you arrive early. I had a brunch-like experience here. [Anko Butter Sandwich (drink set) ¥1000] When I lifted the sandwich, it was surprisingly heavy with plenty of red bean paste. The fruit yogurt on the side was a nice touch. [Dashi Chazuke (salmon) ¥1300] Perfectly grilled salmon, a generous amount of whitebait and chopped seaweed, and condiments made for a luxurious chazuke. [Odango Set (matcha) ¥880] A set of two types of dango to choose from, along with matcha that you can prepare yourself. It felt like a good deal considering the experience included."

Finally, Airport Garden has opened so I went sightseeing. You can get there from the second floor of Haneda Airport's Terminal 3 via a connecting passage. It's a bit confusing. The passage is lined with various shops and it's very lively. All the shops are attractive. Among them, the famous Mosuke Dango offers seating. We shared a set of dango with a drink for 720 yen - you can choose 2 out of 3 types of dango and a drink. I chose iced coffee. The dango were mitarashi and koshian. I really wanted to eat 3, but the last one was koshian. The dango were undeniably delicious. The mitarashi was slightly warm. Anmitsu for 760 yen - the agar was delicious and the koshian was tasty. Consistently delicious. They also had various dango, daifuku, and manju available for takeout. It was mentioned that you could eat the takeout sweets inside if you ordered a drink.

This is Haneda Airport Garden. It seems like it opened this year and everything looks beautiful. The Moshuke dango and Odango are good, but I couldn't resist the dorayaki and ended up buying several. The matcha steamed dorayaki and tiger dorayaki were fun and just delicious.

Haneda Airport Garden is a new and beautiful place. I had heard of Moshuke Dango before, but it was my first time trying it. I bought some Kusamochi and Anko Dango. The Mitarashi Dango set also came with it, and it was delicious with a variety of flavors.
