The sashimi and yakitori were all delicious. Especially the crab miso was incredibly tasty. My friend and I each had one and it was amazing. The only downside was that the table was near the restroom. Personally, the only drawback was that the restaurant was far from the station.

I arrived at a restaurant I was looking for to have drinks with friends from an early hour. It was a 10-minute walk from Sasazuka Station through Juugodoori. Despite being quite inconvenient from the station, there were already customers past 5 pm. I ordered a sashimi assortment and a bottle of beer. The interior of the restaurant was small but clean. The sashimi assortment was 1000 yen including tax and was surprisingly voluminous and delicious. I also had a 690 yen bottle of unfiltered sake poured by the waitress. The cost performance was excellent! I then ordered a platter of assorted dishes, tempura, and tuna tripe with a side of baguette. The tomato stewed tuna tripe was of high quality and made me want to have wine. The baguette was a whole wheat chewy baguette. Is this a Mediterranean restaurant? Anyway, the menu with prices including tax was very reasonable. There was also a notice of a price increase with an apology on the menu. Even with the price increase, the prices were still low. I wonder how cheap it was before. There was no fake enthusiasm or meaningless cheers, just attentive service. I see why young people continue to visit even though it's far from the station. This place makes you want to come back again.

This place is a great restaurant where you can order a lot, eat until you're full, and drink very cheaply! The cost performance is so good that there is no other place like it, it's delicious! People living nearby should definitely go! You will be surprised at how cheap it is when you pay the bill, so I want you to experience it once.

I took a break after getting tired from walking. This is the second branch of a popular restaurant in Hatagaya, but I thought it would be a bit more crowded. There was only one group of customers ahead of us. It's a weekday at 4 pm with bad weather, so maybe that's why. I ordered a draft beer and looked at the menu, everything is so cheap. A sashimi platter with 7 pieces for 1,000 yen, it's huge! It's just the right size for two people. It includes red shrimp and boiled conger eel! Among them, the seared horse mackerel is especially delicious. On the other hand, I could do without the tuna... I sipped on the summer limited edition sake, "Hane-ya" (890 yen), while finishing with a seaweed soup. It's actually based on fish broth, and the flavor is great. Great value for money, perfect for a casual drink at this izakaya.

I visited "Hamaya" on Nakano Street, which is a bit far from both Hatagaya Station and Sasazuka Station. Just like the original store in Nishihara Shopping Street in Hatagaya, they offer a sashimi platter for 1000 yen, which is more than enough to eat. However, to be honest, I think the one in Hatagaya tastes better, haha. Also, the atmosphere inside the restaurant feels a bit dark. Considering the cost performance and taste, this place stands out in this area, so it feels a bit of a waste.

After a long time, I visited and tried the Assorted Sashimi for 1000 yen, which is a new menu item. The ingredients may change depending on the day's supply. The lotus root and shrimp tempura had a crispy texture, allowing you to enjoy the crunchy lotus root and juicy shrimp. I forgot to take a picture of the grilled yellowtail collar, but it had a delicious saltiness. This restaurant is definitely good value for money. Thank you for the meal! ☺️

I have visited Hamaya in Hatagaya several times in February, but this time was my first visit to the Hamaya in Sasazuka. It's a bit of a walk from the station, so there are many locals around. The prices are reasonable, and the sashimi platter is a good deal. Some dishes may seem small for the price, but overall, I was satisfied with the experience. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a casual izakaya where you can easily go for daytime drinking starting from 3:00 pm. Sometimes you may need a reservation to get in, so it's a good idea to check in advance if there are any available seats. When I went there the other day, I was surprised by the cheap price of the 7-piece sashimi platter. They also offer a variety of seasonal dishes at reasonable prices, which makes it easy to enjoy drinking. I always have a great time there.

If the restaurant is close to your home, I highly recommend it!! You can drink a highball for only 220 yen, and the big fried chicken, which is hard to see in the photo, is also huge and costs 540 yen for two pieces, which is super cheap and delicious!! Additionally, the potato salad has just the right taste and good ingredients! It's only 290 yen, another super cheap price!! Highly recommended!! If it's nearby, definitely go check it out!

Cooking, dishes are important, right? Probably. When beautifully arranged in the center of a large plate, it looks elegant. I think elegant restaurants are nice, but in a compact restaurant, you have to consider the order as well. The interior is rectangular and quite spacious. It's run by two women. Starting with draft beer, the menu focuses on seafood. I tried the octopus sashimi for 390 yen. It made me wonder what "nuta" is. It was delicious. I'm not a big fan of shellfish, but the red clam sashimi for 590 yen was irresistibly tasty. The fried squid legs for 390 yen were surprisingly not very squid-like, more like octopus tempura, and delicious. The egg omelet for 390 yen reminded me of my mom's. Sweet and tasty. The simple 290 yen plate of myoga was delicious. Myoga is good, right? The grilled tuna cheek for 390 yen was well-done and tasty. The fried tuna for 390 yen was good, but I felt like it needed mayonnaise. Is it okay to ask for mayonnaise? Maybe charging 50 yen for it would be better than offering it as a service. The fish and chips for 390 yen had slightly heavy batter. I tried to imitate those who kindly provide menu and price information in their reviews, but my memory of prices is vague and probably incorrect. So, it's better not to include such inaccurate information. Ultimately, what I like about this place is the variety of the menu and the low prices for each dish. This makes me want to try a lot of dishes, but the table doesn't get crowded because the size of the plates is just right. I felt a sense of consideration for the customers, or maybe it's just manly charm. And I ignore the readers of reviews and write in a sloppy way, so it's hard to read and lacks useful information. Sorry about that.

I went in because it caught my eye nearby. Despite being cheap, you can eat and drink deliciously, so I think you can be surprisingly satisfied.

Shibuya-ku Sasazuka. This is a seafood izakaya located about 5 minutes from the Koshu Kaido and Metropolitan Expressway Route 4 Shinjuku Line, heading towards Nakano on Nakano Street. The nearest station is Sasazuka Station on the Keio Line. It is also the second branch of the popular restaurant "Hamaya" in Hatagaya. The second Robin meeting, first stop. Meeting up with regulars from Hamaya, K-san and Dylan, P-san and I gathered at this quaint little spot. The long interior has three four-person tables, six counter seats, totaling 18 seats, quite compact. It was bustling on a Sunday at 2 pm, almost full. Today's orders: Cheese Ham Cutlet 290 yen, Cucumber with Water 220 yen, Miso-pickled Cream Cheese 390 yen, Tachiuo and Tsubugai sashimi, Isosoup, Draft Beer (medium) x2, Green Tea Highball, etc. Drinks not listed were mine. K-san and Dylan started ahead of us. They were drinking at high speed. Especially for Dylan, alcohol is like water. The seafood was indeed delicious. The prices were reasonable. And most importantly, you can drink in the middle of the day, which is great! After about an hour and a half, we closed the tab and headed to the main event of the day, Robin. Hmm. It's frustrating that I can't seem to catch a break in this area where I can't seem to get into the restaurant despite multiple attempts. Finally, I was lucky enough to visit in the evening on a past date. The restaurant had a clean and welcoming atmosphere with a 9-seat L-shaped counter and 3 tables. It was bustling with families, groups of friends, and regular customers enjoying their drinks and meals. I started with a draft beer and fresh sashimi platter, followed by a recommended sake called Kyurei. The fresh radish with white miso was surprisingly delicious. The Kyurei sake was generously poured at the table, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the sashimi platter I ordered for 1000 yen was a bit disappointing. It consisted of 8 pieces of sashimi, including frozen tuna and a small portion of octopus and mackerel. The lack of explanation about the sashimi was also disappointing. I confirmed with the staff, and they assured me that it was indeed the 1000 yen sashimi platter. Overall, the experience was slightly disappointing due to the low cost-performance of the sashimi platter. The total bill for a 30-minute visit was 2280 yen. Apart from the sashimi platter, the prices were reasonable, and there was no cover charge, which was commendable. If I had ordered individual sashimi items instead of the platter, I might have been more satisfied. I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied, while other customers seemed content. I wonder if it was just an off day, a misunderstanding in my ordering, or if there was simply a mismatch between the restaurant and me. I would like to revisit to confirm, but there is also a possibility that this particular restaurant may not be the right fit for me.
