A shop located a 5-minute walk from Shinsei Station. With a 39-year history, it has a lively atmosphere with regular customers and visitors from nearby companies. The dishes mainly serve as great accompaniments to alcohol, with generous portions and great value for money. There are various recommendations, but the chili con carne, pasta, and pizza are particularly recommended. (While not on par with specialty shops, the pasta and pizza are recommended as accompaniments to alcohol.)

The creamy texture of the carbonara sauce was just right, showing the professionalism of the chef. The cooking of the pork belly was perfect, something that would be hard to replicate at home. The combination of the mustard's aroma and spiciness with the richness of the pork belly was excellent. The fried potatoes were both affordable and filling, making them a great choice to share with friends.

A favorite local spot where locals hang out. It may be a bit intimidating to enter at first, but if you're looking for that extra push to go in, I recommend trying the grilled pork from Shigentonton. It's a must-try and pairs perfectly with red wine. The cheese is well-balanced, and the portion of the potato fries is generous, making it ideal for a casual gathering with drinking buddies. The cost performance and atmosphere are just right. It would be even better if the other dishes and drinks offered are well-matched.

After finishing the first round, we were looking for a second place to go and found a welcoming looking spot, so we decided to go in. The open door at the entrance gave a nice sense of openness. We started by ordering individual beers. At first, we weren't very hungry so we just ordered drinks, but before we knew it, someone had ordered a lavish snack. It was beef that seemed like it could be served at a meat bar. It was surprisingly tender and delicious. Despite originally saying we were just going to drink, we were all impressed by how tasty it was. The fried potatoes that came later were also delicious. When we asked the staff for a recommended drink, they suggested a plum sour. It didn't seem to match the atmosphere of the place, but we gave it a try and it was surprisingly delicious! It unexpectedly became the MVP of the day.

Tax included, all ¥800. The main menu comes with a free large serving of rice with soup. I had been curious about the taco rice, which came with a salad bowl filled with lots of vegetables and a warm egg on top. Other options included fried chicken set, ginger pork set, omurice, and a large portion of fried chicken. I will try them next time. The soup that came with the set was a ginger-infused consomme soup, with plenty of vegetables and a delicious ginger flavor. By the time it was past 12 o'clock, the restaurant was almost full, showing its popularity. Highly recommended!

The lunch menu offers 5 items for 800 yen each. I ordered the minced meat curry and it was served promptly. It came in a one-plate style with salad and boiled egg. The soup that came with it was full of vegetable flavor and delicious. The seating was spacious, allowing for a relaxed lunch experience.

It's been quite crowded lately even though I usually enter around 1 pm. Maybe it's because smoking is allowed from 1 pm, but there are hardly any people smoking. I personally prefer it that way. Today, I ordered curry that I haven't eaten yet. The estimated serving time was about 5 minutes, and it was indeed fast. A mini salad was served alongside the rice, which was a nice touch. The curry sauce was not too spicy or salty, making it easy to eat. As always, I finished eating in no time and left. I tried all 5 lunch items, and I can't say one is better than the other. They are all easy to eat and delicious. The cooking is very consistent. Smoking is allowed after 1 pm, but the smoke from neighboring tables doesn't bother me much, so it seems fine for me in the future.

In October 2018, this time I had omurice. It is a classic omurice with ketchup-flavored chicken rice topped with a half-cooked thin omelette. It tastes like something a mother who is good at cooking would make, straightforwardly delicious. It goes well with demiglace sauce. The fact that it is served in about 6 minutes shows that they are efficient. Even for a large portion, the price of 800 yen for any dish is very convenient. This was my fourth visit, so I only have the curry left to try out of the five menu items. I bet the curry comes out faster.

Visited for the third time in October 2018. Ordered the taco rice I had been curious about. It arrived faster than the fried chicken, in about 7 minutes. The rice was served in a wooden salad bowl, surrounded by lettuce, tomato, cheese, and taco chips. Ground meat was on top of the rice, with a soft-boiled egg on top of that. The lettuce had a mayonnaise-like dressing, essentially making it a salad rice. It came with the usual corn soup with corn and Tabasco on the side. First, I broke the soft-boiled egg without adding Tabasco, and mixed it with the rice, lettuce, and ground meat. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy, surprisingly complementing the sticky rice well. Eating the ground meat and lettuce together was also enjoyable. Even with a tired stomach, this dish was easy to eat. I added Tabasco halfway through. Tabasco is a powerful seasoning that instantly dominates all the flavors and smells once added. Nevertheless, it was still quite tasty, but I think the vegetables, meat, and rice each had a better taste without it. I felt like trying it with just a little balsamic vinegar instead of Tabasco.

The sign at the entrance in October 2018 indicated that smoking was allowed in all seats after 1:00 pm, and customers started coming in one after another after that time. I ordered the fried chicken after seeing another customer order it before me. I saw that the curry ordered by a customer who arrived later was served first, raising my expectations. The fried chicken served after about 10 minutes was freshly fried, very hot, tender, juicy, and delicious. In Shibuya, the fried chicken that you can eat heartily is top-notch, but the fried chicken here is a different type, and freshly fried is delicious. There are still menu items like taco rice that I haven't tried yet, so I'm looking forward to my next visit.

It's been a year since I last visited Shibuya Dogenzaka. It used to be a familiar town for me, a place where I often met with my colleagues for work. The choice of restaurants changes when the people you hang out with change, and today is no exception. The focus today is on meat, just like old times! Let's start with some meat, beer, and more meat!

I was shopping in Shibuya and looking for a place to eat when I came across a very intriguing restaurant! The atmosphere inside and outside the store was very stylish, making it a perfect spot for a date. The meat was delicious, so I definitely want to go back again.

The alcohol is cost-effective. The Mojito for 500 yen is cheap. The food is also decent.
