Near the Higashi-Ginza subway station, along Showa Street, on the 2nd floor of the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza-gochome, you will find the all-day dining restaurant "SHARI". The name of the restaurant comes from the "shari roll", showing their dedication to rice. I visited for lunch on a rainy weekday and the place was fully booked. I decided to wait since I was also checking out the place for a lunch meeting. After 15 minutes, I was able to enter. The restaurant mainly had female customers. The interior was a mix of Japanese and Western styles, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere typical of a hotel restaurant. There are a total of 80 seats, including semi-private tables for 6-12 people.

Today, I ordered the "Chef's Special Small Dish Set Meal". The 9 small dishes included tuna and onsen tamago with sesame dressing, tuna jelly, sweetened shiso, simmered meat, hijiki seaweed, nametake mushroom, grilled fish, tamagoyaki, and pickles. The combination of tuna and onsen tamago with rich sesame dressing was delicious. Although the dishes were familiar, they were all carefully prepared. The meal was accompanied by the restaurant's proud rice, which was enjoyable, but it seems that the "Tago rice" cooked in a pot, served to those who reserve in advance, is highly recommended. For dessert, you can choose from 5 options including coffee jelly, panna cotta, and tiramisu. I chose the "hojicha tiramisu" served in a masu cup. It would have been better if I could taste more mascarpone cheese, but the roasted green tea flavor served as a nice twist to the traditional coffee flavor in tiramisu.
Next time, I plan to use the private room for a lunch meeting, but this is a restaurant I would like to visit for various occasions.
