There is only one movie theater in Fuchu, and it is located on the 5th floor of the commercial facility "Kururu" directly connected to the station. The food options include classic popcorn, Churritos, and popcorn. There is nothing particularly special, but they are essential snacks for watching a movie, right?

Today I had some errands to run in Naka and decided to go watch a movie since it's POP&COKE DAY. I made a reservation in advance and visited the theater around 6pm on a weekday. It's been a while since my last visit. The popcorn set costs 500 yen including tax, with rich butter soy sauce flavored popcorn and orange juice instead of Coke. Well, I have a health check-up coming up, so trying to be healthy, haha. The popcorn was indeed rich and flavorful! But honestly, the portion size is not for one person. I'm sorry, I couldn't finish it. As for the movie, there were some touching moments, but towards the end, it felt a bit tiring to watch. Thank you for the meal! Now, shall we go for yakiniku with my older sister the day before my birthday? (´^ω^)

On a regular day, for the first time in about 20 years, I went to see a movie. Back in my student days, I used to watch about 50-60 movies a year, but at some point, I stopped watching them completely. As I rode the escalator up to the 5th floor, I noticed quite a few people there. The movie tickets were purchased through a touch panel ticket machine. I managed to get good seats. Now, when it comes to movies, popcorn and cola are a must (￣▽￣). I arrived at the theater at 2:30 PM. I quickly glanced at the menu and ordered the "Popcorn Set (780 yen)," which seemed to be a medium-sized set for each. "Would you like butter oil on it?" "Yes, please." Oh no, the size of the popcorn is huge... Actually, I had curry at Pooh in Musashikoganei for lunch, and then I had omurice at ◯, so I was already quite full (*´-`). The popcorn was served in a tray that was easy to carry around, which made me excited. However, it turned out that trays were not allowed in some theaters, so unfortunately, I got caught... I put the popcorn container in the provided plastic bag and entered the theater. I sat in my seat and started eating. Yes, it's really warm. Butter is the best after all. I could keep eating this endlessly. Before I knew it, the popcorn that was so abundant was gone... The cola was a medium size. However, it was wonderful... 'BLUE GIANT' (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) The music performance was just amazing, so if you're interested, hurry and watch it at the movie theater! Also, while the end credits are rolling, make sure not to leave. You'll regret it if you do.

Eating chicken while watching a movie♪ "Chobitto Chicken" for 370 yen is so delicious that I end up buying it. It's bite-sized and easy to eat, and goes really well with beer. It feels a bit luxurious to spend over 1000 yen when buying it with beer♪

Visit date: September 15, 2019 (Sunday) 13:30 This movie theater was a place I used to visit with my children when they were younger, about 10 years ago, around 2-3 times a year. However, as someone who is not really interested in movies, I rarely had the chance to visit this place as my children grew up. Nevertheless, I wanted to see the popular movie "Weathering with You", so I decided to visit TOHO Cinemas Fuchu after a long time. Since I had reserved my ticket online, I arrived about 20 minutes before the movie started and went to the restroom. Of course, when it comes to movies, the classic combination is beer and popcorn. Personally, I prefer Coke Highball and popcorn, but since Coke Highball was not on the menu, I ordered a Premium Malt's (L) for 880 yen and a small salted popcorn for 320 yen, just like the one I had at the Suntory Beer Factory earlier. After paying with my credit card, the theater room opened, so I took my tray and went to my assigned seat. One thing to note here is the timing of drinking beer. If you drink too fast from the beginning, you will definitely want to go to the restroom during the second half. I wanted to avoid that, so I sipped my beer slowly in the first half while munching on popcorn. In the second half, especially towards the end, I increased my pace of drinking. Despite feeling the urge to go to the restroom about 20 minutes before the end, I managed to hold it until the movie finished. However, if I had not been careful, I might have missed the last scene. Regardless, the not-so-cold but still delicious Premium Malt's and the simple salted popcorn were the perfect combination after almost 2 hours since ordering. The next time I want to see a movie, I will enjoy beer and popcorn without rushing to the restroom, and truly savor the movie experience.

When I went to see the late show of Aladdin, I had eaten too much for dinner beforehand and felt like my stomach was going to burst. So, instead of buying popcorn, I bought some candies sold by weight and ginger ale. I didn't want anything chewy, so I put quite a few cookies in the bag and unexpectedly it ended up costing over 600 yen. It's quite pricey, isn't it?

Hot Sandwich (Teriyaki Chicken and Egg) and Popcorn On the last day of Golden Week, I finished work in the morning and went to watch a movie in the afternoon. I ordered a hot sandwich for lunch. The bread was quite firm and the filling was substantial, so I think it's much better than a hot dog if you order it as a set and eat it at the movie theater.

I bought popcorn (double consomme flavor) at a late-night show for the first time in a while. I noticed that churros and tapioca were added to the menu. I would like to try them next time I go.

Movie, beer, and popcorn ❤️ I usually don't bring food into the movie theater, but since it's a weekday and there are few customers, I brought in a Premium beer and popcorn for a solo movie experience (*≧∀≦*) It's been a while since I've had a movie theater without someone's head in front of me! The beer tastes great! The caramel popcorn is generously coated with caramel and goes well with the beer~ ❤️ It's a happy holiday♪

I went to see Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Biohazard The Final luxurious double feature. My snack was a Chobitto Chicken set and my drink was Hot Cocoa. The Chobitto Chicken was like bite-sized fried chicken seasoned with salt and it was so addictive. It came with a fork so my hands didn't get messy. At the movie theater, I ordered a Chia Seed Soda (orange flavor). It was refreshing, with a fun popping texture. The taste was great, and it was a perfect drink to enjoy while watching a movie. The staff recommended stirring it well before drinking to mix in the mysterious popping bits. Overall, it was a great choice as a snack for watching movies.

Today, my wife, sister-in-law, and I went to Fuchu by train to watch a movie together for the first time in a while. We bought our tickets online the day before, and they were surprisingly cheap for us old folks (laughs). The movie we watched was "Jason Bourne". Before it started, we had some mega popcorn with two flavors and a large size beer for 850 yen. It was so delicious that I almost passed out (laughs). We enjoyed our drinks and snacks in a stylish rack while watching the movie. The problem was that I had to go to the restroom just 30 minutes into the movie. I tried to hold it in until 40 minutes, but I couldn't take it anymore. I had to apologize to my wife with a helpless face and dashed out (laughs). Phew, I finally calmed down... But I didn't go back to my seat right away, I stood in the aisle for 30 minutes to avoid any more incidents. As expected, I had to go to the restroom for the second time (laughs). Since I was in the aisle, I didn't inconvenience anyone. With only 30 minutes left in the movie, standing was getting harder, and the sleepiness hit me hard (laughs). I ended up not understanding much of the 2-hour movie and it was already The End... For all the beer lovers, it's better to avoid drinking before watching a movie. I learned my lesson the hard way and got scolded by my wife, of course (cries and laughs).´д` ;

On February 2016, I went to Fuchu. I watched the movie "Promises" at TOHO Cinemas Fuchu, which I had decided to see after watching the trailer. I had bought tickets for a different theater online, but on the day of the screening, I fell ill and had to give up on it. So, I decided to start fresh. It had been over 10 years since I last visited Fuchu, and the redevelopment around the station had completely changed the impression I had of the area. There was a commercial building right by Keio Line Fuchu Station where the movie theater was located, so I headed there. I bought a Coke Zero S to accompany the movie, which cost 290 yen including tax. I watched the movie in a premium seat with plenty of space to relax. The movie "Chihayafuru," based on a manga and starring Suzu Hirose, was set in Fuchu, and there was a special promotion for Fuchu residents by the cast. The main story, with performances by Hidetoshi Nishijima, Yosuke Eguchi, and Toshiyuki Nishida, was a wonderful human drama. I cried multiple times during the screening, perhaps because my tear ducts have become looser with age (laughs).

[2015/03/11] Today, I watched two movies at TOHO Cinemas in Fuchu. I watched one before work and one after. During the evening show, I got a little hungry, so I decided to buy a popcorn and drink set for 670 yen. I chose the Cinema Ikebukuro Hokkaido Butter Soy Sauce popcorn flavor. The drink was Coca-Cola Zero. The butter soy sauce flavored popcorn was a bit intense in flavor, but warm and crispy, making it irresistible. However, I couldn't finish it all during the 1.5-hour movie, so I ended up taking 1/4 of it home. After finishing the movie, I glanced at the young girl next to me who had finished her popcorn and was leisurely typing away on her phone, probably planning to stay a while longer. I couldn't help but feel a little sad, thinking, "Youth is wonderful, youth is amazing," and "I can't keep up anymore." [2014/07/30] Today is Wednesday, which means it's Ladies' Day at the movie theater. I could have gone to Shinjuku, but lately, I've been working in Fuchu, so I felt more comfortable watching a movie there. So, I headed to TOHO Cinemas in Fuchu, located inside Kururu. After getting my ticket, I had lunch and passed the time at nearby Isetan and Forus until it was time for the movie. I decided to enjoy popcorn while watching the movie today. I thought the M-sized popcorn would be too much, but the difference in price between the popcorn set and the S-sized popcorn with a drink was not significant, so I opted for the popcorn set for 670 yen. It was huge! About 20cm in diameter and filled to the brim. But no worries, I brought a bag to put the leftover popcorn in. So, I settled into my seat, ready to enjoy the movie. The popcorn was crispy and delicious, despite the butter being a bit greasy and salty. Sipping on Coca-Cola Zero, I couldn't help but think, "I prefer Pepsi over Coca-Cola." But having popcorn while watching a movie definitely enhances the experience!

The 5th and 6th floors of the commercial facility 'Kururu' in front of Fuchu Station have been converted into a movie theater called 'TOHO Cinemas'. You can purchase tickets on the 5th floor and then take the escalator up to the 6th floor. Opposite the ticket counter, there is a food stand that stands out more than the ticket counter. Since bringing in outside food is prohibited, it is common for people to purchase snacks here to enjoy while watching a movie. The main menu items include popcorn with trendy flavors, cafe-style drinks, and churros. The churros are priced at 310 yen each and come in cinnamon sugar flavor as well as another option. They are the typical long and crispy churros, but the flavor can become monotonous and the texture can be a bit dry. They go well with a drink.
