I am Dr. Fujisaki, the director of BODYPIT KYOTO. I received a souvenir from Tokyo. A gift from Musashino. I have a sweet tooth. I am very happy with the presents - chestnut festival, Musashino pie (chestnut and apple), Musashino nuts. Thank you very much.

Established in 1893, Aokiya is a renowned confectionery shop located in Fuchu, Tokyo. The shop originated within the precincts of Ōkunitama Shrine, one of the Tokyo Five Great Shrines. Aokiya is famous for its "Musashino Nisshi," a mini Baumkuchen filled with cream, and its dorayaki is also considered one of Tokyo's representative dorayaki. Among the many famous dorayaki shops in Tokyo, Aokiya stands out for its delicious offerings. The shop's dorayaki, known as "Kurodora," is a must-try. Made fresh daily, the fluffy texture of the dough, the plumpness of the red bean filling, and the rich flavor of black sugar combine to create a delightful treat. Using a special cooking method to extract the umami flavor from Hokkaido red beans, Aokiya's dorayaki is a masterpiece crafted by skilled artisans. Though not widely known outside of western Tokyo, Aokiya's dorayaki is undoubtedly one of the best in the city.

Once again! A new discovery!! "Uji Matcha" for 180 yen → Special trial price of 160 yen. The new Musashino diary is a limited edition. It's not just matcha, it's "Uji Matcha"♪ What's the difference between "matcha" and "Uji Matcha"? When you try it, oh my!! The traditional matcha was bitter with chocolate, making it difficult for kids to enjoy, but this upgraded "Uji Matcha" is different! It's sweet, with a matcha fragrance, and kids will probably love it♪ Among various matcha sweets, it ranks quite high! It may sound like an exaggeration, but the deliciousness is real. Great job!

Before going to visit my father-in-law and mother-in-law, I stopped by here to buy some rice cakes as souvenirs. Just like at Aokiya Tama New Town Suwa store, they make the grilled rice cakes after you place your order. I bought 5 pieces each of grilled rice cakes with sweet soy sauce and mugwort rice cakes as souvenirs. I paid first, got a ticket with a number on it, and then waited for a bit. It was probably within 10 minutes. They handed them to me with great care. We all enjoyed the warm grilled rice cakes as soon as we arrived. I wish I could have taken a photo before opening them, but my father-in-law was so delighted that he took one out of the bag and started eating right away. So I apologize for not having a picture. Everyone else also enjoyed them, and we could tell that they were freshly made and used a special kind of flour called "raw shin flour" for the rice cakes, giving them a unique taste. They were chewy and soft, and the sweet soy sauce flavor was delicious. I managed to take a picture of the mugwort rice cakes (laughs). They were mugwort rice cakes with a generous amount of elegant sweet bean paste on top. The refreshing scent of mugwort was lovely, and they were also delicious. Both my in-laws were happy with the souvenirs, and we all enjoyed them. It was a great choice to bring them as gifts. Thank you for the meal.

New discovery!! "Hazelnut Praline Chocolate" for only 180 yen!? I wonder if this is a chocolate flavor that is a step above regular chocolate? I compared the normal and hazelnut chocolates separately, and wow!! It's like a chocolate medley with a hint of hazelnut aroma from the inside. They probably mixed powdered nuts to make it milder than the usual chocolate. Well, either way, it's delicious. As expected of Musashino Nisshi's sacred ground in Fuchu City, I can't walk away without indulging. Yummy!

I finally visited Ookunitama Shrine for hatsumode, while avoiding crowds. I got a great fortune (daikichi) from the omikuji, so I was feeling happy! While waiting for my friend who went to tie their fortune slip (omikuji) after getting a lesser fortune (suekichi), I noticed a sign in the shrine grounds. It mentioned a special New Year's fortune dorayaki being sold at Aokiya, a shop closely connected to Ookunitama Shrine, and made with Belgian chocolate. I couldn't resist and decided to go check it out at Aokiya on the first floor of Forus, a bit back towards Keio Fuchu Station from the main torii gate. The limited item they had was a "Chocolate Daifuku Dorayaki," a hefty and dense dorayaki priced at 290 yen each, packaged in a gold bag. I also bought their signature "Hibi Kore Kurodora" for 180 yen to compare. They had also started selling uguisumochi. I love how traditional Japanese sweets shops reflect the changing seasons. Aokiya also offers Western-style sweets. Now, the Chocolate Daifuku Dorayaki was a great fusion of Japanese and Western sweets. It was quite substantial, with a large chocolate filling. The inside had a fluffy and chewy Western-style chocolate flavor, while the outside had the traditional dorayaki taste. It paired well with strong green tea or coffee. It was a new and delicious experience. The Hibi Kore Kurodora was also tasty and comforting, with a familiar flavor. The classic "Musashino Nisshi" had a limited edition strawberry flavor available. Aokiya allows you to buy just one piece of each sweet, so it's easy to end up buying a variety. I plan to visit Ookunitama Shrine a few more times this year, so I'll definitely stop by Aokiya again. Thank you for the delicious treats!

After visiting the Ookunitama Shrine on November 6, my mom requested that we buy some souvenirs because our neighbor gave us some new rice. We came to this shop and bought two pieces each of the daily black sugar and autumn Musashino diary (chocolate and white). I usually refrain from having snacks at home due to my health condition, but I tried a bite of the representative product, the black sugar dorayaki. The texture of the dough was fluffy, with a gentle sweetness and flavor of black sugar. The red bean paste had chunks of red beans, giving it a strong presence and delicious taste. Although the sweetness of the paste was slightly strong due to the gentle dough, it was delicious. On that day, the store was offering a 500 yen product voucher for purchases over 1,000 yen, but since we are not locals, we did not accept it. However, I felt that it was a store that values locals, and it was essentially half price, which was great. ♥️

I went to Fuchu and stopped by Aokiya. When it comes to traditional Japanese sweets in Fuchu, Aokiya is the place to go. They offer a variety of sweets, but my favorite is their skewered dumplings. They cost 100 yen each and are grilled to order. You can enjoy them warm in the eat-in area, but I chose to take them home today. I finally ate them at home after some time had passed, and they were soft and delicious. Aokiya's dumplings are really tasty. Highly recommended!

Just a 2-minute walk from Keio Line Fuchu Station. It's a 5-minute walk from JR Fuchu-Honmachi Station. This confectionery shop in Fuchu is located on the first floor of the commercial building "Foris" near Keio Line Fuchu Station. They offer not only traditional Japanese sweets but also Western-style sweets. It's a take-out only shop. The shop was originally established in 1893 on the grounds of Okunitama Shrine during the Meiji era. Until 1934, the shop was located on the shrine grounds, so it's a must-visit after paying a visit to Okunitama Shrine! It's right across the street after passing through the main torii gate. Famous items like "Hibi Kore Kurodora" and "Musashino Nisshi" have been enjoyed by the middle-aged women in my family since they were teenagers. Perhaps due to the proximity to Fuchu Racecourse, there are also biscuits with horse illustrations. Of course, there are also seasonal fresh sweets available. This time, I bought some rice crackers and "IRODORI" modern yokan. The rice crackers come in 3 varieties, priced at 165 yen per bag including tax. The "IRODORI" yokan was priced at 150 yen each including tax. They have various gift boxes available, but it's nice that you can also buy individual pieces. After visiting Okunitama Shrine, in my household, it's Aokiya for Japanese sweets and Monamour for Western sweets! The flavors are easy for young people to enjoy. Always delicious.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Fuchu Station. If you're looking to buy a souvenir in Fuchu, this is the place to go. They mainly sell traditional Japanese sweets. It's always crowded with a lot of people. Credit cards are accepted. - Musashino Diary: 900 yen A baumkuchen with chocolate filling. It's small and perfect for a snack. It's great for souvenirs as it has the place name on it.

This cute looking dessert has a delicious chocolate filling that is wrapped like a ganache. The set includes both chocolate and white chocolate versions, with 12 pieces for 2080 yen. I initially thought the white one would be like a vanilla cream, but it turned out to have a strong white chocolate flavor. While I prefer the regular chocolate, this one also has a rich sweetness that pairs well with tea or coffee. It even goes well with milk. Despite its Western style, it also goes well with Japanese tea. It's like enjoying two different types of sweets at the same time - baumkuchen and ganache.

Yes, I visited two places on the Keio Line Passport journey and my stomach is satisfied for now. I noticed some illuminations on Keyaki Namiki Street, even though I'm not particularly interested in them. They formed heart shapes and attracted children and couples. I decided to check it out. I ended up at a shop in Forus where they sell a popular snack called "Musashino Diary" that many people in Tama know. I bought some chocolates and cookies, and the sweet girl at the counter gave me a free Racing Thoroughbred Sablé since my purchase was over 1,000 yen. The Musashino Diary chocolates had a slightly rough texture but the chocolate inside was just the right amount of sweetness. The Musashino Forest cookies, with a subtitle of Black Chocolate Nut, had a nice balance of bitterness and nuts. The cookies were easy to eat and had a cocoa outer layer. Unfortunately, the details of the sablé were lost as the girl ate it before I could try it. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable way to pass the time. Let's continue to have a good time! ♥

No-Side Game Manju Rugby is a collaboration with the city of Fuchu, known for its rugby culture. These manju are a bit pricey at 3 for 1000 yen, but Aokiya's manju are delicious all the way to the skin. The World Cup is coming up soon, so it's going to be exciting!

The daily black thunder products of the Reiwa era are being released everywhere, but traditional Japanese confectionery shops are easily riding this wave. Aokiya's stable and delicious black thunder with its unique stamp remains unchanged. There are also Reiwa versions of red and white steamed buns available.

One Sunday afternoon in May 2019, my wife, our middle school daughter, and I visited this shop. It is a well-known traditional Japanese confectionery shop in Fuchu. It is located on the first floor of the commercial facility 'Foris' in front of Fuchu Station on the Keio Line. Established in 1893, the shop displays old photos inside. On this occasion, we bought some Kashiwa mochi (3 pieces with the new era name "Reiwa" design) and a "Musashino Journal" treat. The "Musashino Journal" is a Baumkuchen cake filled with three types of chocolate cream: chocolate, strawberry, and matcha. We bought the chocolate flavor and enjoyed it with our family at home. Having such a local traditional confectionery shop nearby is very convenient and enjoyable.

I visited for the first time and bought wagashi, sakura mochi, and sakura manju. The wagashi was very elegant and delicious. I bought sakura mochi with unusual coarse red bean paste, as well as the usual smooth red bean paste. I also purchased sakura manju, a seasonal sweet. I usually visit a store in Tama City. The atmosphere is completely different, but the same delicious sweets. It's a bit more upscale, but I want to continue being taken care of by this sweet shop forever.

It's a traditional Japanese confectionery shop located on the first floor of Folis, halfway between Keio Fuchu Station and Okunitama Shrine. Whenever I visit Okunitama Shrine, I always stop by this place. It's like a set to visit a big shrine and enjoy the local specialty sweets, right? For example, at Mishima Taisha Shrine, you get that, and at Shimogamo Shrine, you get that. Anyway, at Okunitama Shrine, you get this place. This time, I got the limited edition "Matcha Daifuku Dorayaki" from Aokiya. It cost 300 yen each, but it was worth it with its generous portion. It was a unique dorayaki, with a matcha daifuku inside. Now, there's a pedestrian street with a row of zelkova trees between Okunitama Shrine and Keio Fuchu Station on weekends. There are chairs and tables available for use, so I enjoyed my snack there. It was a delightful experience enjoying Fuchu's sweets and scenery. Thank you for the meal. *By the way, I also enjoyed horse racing on the side (laughs)

Aokiya, a shop with several locations in the city center of Fuchu, is well-known for its bite-sized roll cakes, particularly the Musashino Nisshi. Their classic flavors are white and chocolate, with seasonal variations occasionally offered. These roll cakes cost 140 yen each and last for about 5 days. They have a gentle sweetness and are quite delicious, making them a popular choice among locals in the Tama area. Another popular item is their dorayaki, which is often purchased as a souvenir. On this particular day at the end of March, I bought the Musashino Nisshi as a souvenir for the Higan festival, along with some ohagi for a snack at home. The ohagi had smooth and subtly sweet red bean paste, which was a nice touch. In the first weekend of April, Aokiya held an event where the Musashino Nisshi was sold for only 100 yen each. This outdoor event, held along the keyaki tree-lined street, also featured a wagon sale. Despite Fuchu's somewhat lackluster tourist appeal, Aokiya's confections make for a unique and tasty souvenir option.
