Ginza SIX at night. I was drawn in by the name of the store. Fantasy world-themed words always catch my attention. "Ice Castle," "Fairyland," "Shrine of the Journey." As someone who has gone through the golden age of Square Enix, RPGs are fantasy worlds for me. It's a bit sad to see that Japanese RPGs are in decline while RPGs set in modern worlds like GTA are becoming popular overseas. Well, I don't have much time to play games anyway, so if too many are released, I would have trouble playing them all. Now, this is "Patisserie Ginnomori." "Silver Forest" - a name that exudes fantasy love. This patisserie is based in Ena, Gifu Prefecture, and sells pound cakes, boxed cookies, and jams. I hadn't heard of this brand much before, but besides the main store, they only have this Ginza SIX store and one in Nagoya. The store stands out a lot. It looks like a world of its own in the underground sweets section. The exterior is unified in a deep ultramarine blue color. In the center, there is a giant tree. It feels like a pastry shop in the forest. I love this atmosphere. The only item for sale is a cookie tin called "Petit Bois." There are four types of pound cakes, as well as jams and tea. The design of the tea is lovely, with two squirrels depicted cutely. Here's what I ate: "Bounty of the Forest" - a pound cake soaked in brandy with two types of cherries marinated for half a year. It also contains plums, apricots, rum-soaked raisins, red wine-soaked figs, and eight types of dried fruits. The cake is covered with lots of nuts, giving it a crunchy texture. The juicy plums and apricots, along with the softened cake, create a delightful harmony. The nuts add a crunchy texture, like a musical ensemble in the forest. "Petit Bois 150" - a cookie tin meaning "Little Forest." It contains 13 types of cookies and baked sweets neatly lined up. There are various types, including butter cookies, nuts, galette-like treats, meringue, stick-shaped spiced cookies, and gummy-like textures. The blue and beautiful design of the tin made me feel excited. I savored them little by little over a few days. The popular cookie tins tend to sell out quickly, so it's advisable to go in the afternoon to be safe. I was lucky to find some left even at night, but they might be gone by evening. Thank you for the delicious meal!
