The second daughter planned a "Hatobus-style Edo tour" for the day, which included a visit to the Skytree. Since I had been to Tokyo Tower as a child, this was my first time visiting here. The underground parking lot (30 minutes: 350 yen) may show full, but if you wait a bit, you can still use it. There is no discount for using the Skytree observation deck, but if you spend over 3,000 yen at affiliated stores (such as Solamachi), you get 1 hour free, 5,000 yen for 2 hours free, and 7,000 yen for 3 hours free. My daughter and I ended up spending around 7,000 yen, and whether we are good at calculations or not, I'm not sure. (^0^;) The entrance fee was high (3400 yen for the Tembo Deck and Tembo Galleria set), and the elevator was fast (about 50 seconds to the Tembo Deck), which surprised us. We first went to the "Tembo Deck". It was slightly cloudy, but the view was amazing. You can even see the golden object next to the Asahi Beer Headquarters in Asakusa, called the "Flame of the Sacred Fire", but my daughter had a different opinion about it that I can't write here. (^0^;) We enjoyed the view while taking a break at the cafe. There was another cafe downstairs with chairs, but this one only had standing tables. There were sofa seats near the elevator, but you couldn't enjoy the view from there. We tried the Sky Soft (500 yen), which my daughter wanted for the cookies, Lemon Vinegar Soda (500 yen) for a refreshing taste, and the fried chicken (400 yen), which surprisingly tasted good even though it seemed to be frozen. Next, we went to the "Tembo Galleria" and reached the highest point. It was nice to take a break while enjoying this view. There was a glass floor, and although I used to be fine with heights and even did bungee jumping and the Macau Tower skywalk in my younger days, looking down this time made me a bit scared. I guess I'm getting older. (T-T)
