I asked Asadaya to send a gift set as a summer gift to those who have taken care of me this year. I stayed at Asadaya Ryokan in Kanazawa at the end of March and was impressed by the delicious food at Asadaya. But I can't visit Kanazawa easily, so this time I bought some of Asadaya's deli items from the "Taste Selection" in the basement for home use. There were more varieties of deli items at the store than when I visited in December, which made me very happy. In particular, I bought a lot of packs of Kanazawa plums stewed in syrup. I plan to make jelly with homemade plum syrup and include these plums inside. I am looking forward to trying dishes like crab rice and chirashi sushi soon. Although it is completely different from eating at Asadaya, the deli items are still delicious enough. Until my next visit, I will enjoy these deli items and reminisce about the experience. ========== When I was choosing a year-end gift at Takashimaya, I was offered a sample of this product for the first time. The first thing I tasted was the "Kanazawa Tea Pickled Crab," and I couldn't help but say, "Wow, delicious!" The lady at the counter was very pleased with my comment and kept offering me more samples. The taro simmered in broth, wakasagi simmered in soy sauce, black beans... all have a refined and very good flavor. Since then, this gift set has been our family's choice for year-end gifts. I didn't know anything about Asadaya at the time, but when I looked it up later, I found out that it is a long-established ryokan in Kanazawa that has been around for 340 years. This year, I also sent it to those who have taken care of me. Asadaya has a store in the basement of "Taste Selection," so I buy items for home use here. The items in the uploaded image are for our family's New Year's osechi. They are cheaper than bottled ones. Also, this time I found a special offer (I saw it for the first time) and discovered a shiitake-flavored furikake. Can you believe this amount for only 350 yen! I have already started enjoying it, and it is very delicious.

Located in Tamagawa Takashimaya, this is a long-established store from Kanazawa. They offer various types of seasoned rice mix. One of their popular products is the packaged furikake with bonito flakes, which is very delicious. It doesn't have a long shelf life, so it's hard to stock up on it. It makes a great gift for occasions like Ochugen and Oseibo. It's convenient to be able to purchase it locally without having to travel all the way to Kanazawa. They also offer mail-order services.
