I was taken there by an acquaintance, and first I was surprised by the portion size! And then, I was even more surprised by the taste! Of course, hamburgers from various chain restaurants are delicious, but this one had a unique, authentic taste.

I had a lunch with a thick-cut cheddar avocado burger. It's a build-your-own burger type of place, which can be challenging if you're not used to it. The combination of avocado, meat, and buns is excellent, so I recommend eating them together. I think the taste is one of the best among burger joints. It's a Hawaiian burger, so it's recommended for those who want a meaty burger. The atmosphere of the restaurant is Hawaiian-themed. The air conditioning was too strong for early summer. But the burger was delicious, so no problem! Considering the taste and portion size, I think the cost performance is reasonable. Burger lovers, please give it a try!

Thick-cut cheeseburger set for 1560 yen. I went around 12:30 on a weekday and it was not crowded. Maybe because it's a bit pricey or there's a 10-minute wait. If you have time, it's nice to be able to go in without waiting. I like that the drinks come with a straw that has a hole in the lid. The fries are thin and crispy, easy to eat. It had been a while since I had a burger here, but it was consistently delicious.

It's about a 5-minute walk from Gotanda Station. I often used to get takeout from this place for work. Recently, I went with my colleagues for lunch. The interior has a Hawaiian chic vibe. I was surprised to learn that Kua Aina is celebrating its 25th anniversary. It was founded by Terry in 1975 in the small rural town of Haleiwa on Oahu Island. The first store opened in Aoyama in 1997, and now after 25 years, they have expanded to 34 locations in many areas. I had the Thick Cut Cheddar Bacon Burger set for 1,630 yen. You can adjust the size of the patty, and choose your bread. The staff recommended a softer bun, so I went with brioche. The portion of the accompanying fries was just right and I finished them all. There were other intriguing burgers on the menu, so I'd like to go back and try them.

I had a hamburger set for 1,310 yen at "Kua Aina" in Gotanda. It's a burger joint facing a street between Meguro River and Yamate Street. After visiting Ōkunitama Shrine for Hatsumode and cycling along Tama River to Tamagawa Bridge, I rode to Gotanda on Route 1. I knew this place would be open from the 2nd, so I had lunch there. I chose a plain hamburger with two slices of tomato, lettuce, onions, and a thick beef patty, which made it very satisfying. I've had their burgers at Shinjuku Lumine Est before, so I kept it simple this time. Since it was cold outside, I opted for clam chowder as my drink in the set. The fries were thin and long, a bit oily for my taste - I prefer thicker fries with the skin on.

I was in Gotanda on this day. I had some time to have tea, so I decided to have a hamburger. Since I was planning to have an early dinner, I wanted something light, so I asked for a smaller portion of meat. The hamburger lunch set cost 1,180 yen (tax included) and included meat, tomato, onion, and green leaf. The meat was quite packed in and had a strong flavor. When I added a little mustard, it became slightly spicy and the flavor became more intense. The fries were thin and there was more than I expected. I thought I had a little more time, but surprisingly it took some time for the food to be served, and I ended up cutting it close to my scheduled time.

The unique texture of Kua 'Aina's French fries is addictive. On a Sunday in July before 2 pm, I decided to take advantage of the 2x French fries promotion for burgers and sandwiches until 5 pm. I ordered the lunch set for 1240 yen, which included a cheeseburger with brioche buns, cheddar cheese, a small French fry, and a small iced oolong tea. The burger had onions, tomatoes, green leaf lettuce, and mayo sauce, with a thick and flavorful patty stealing the show. The brioche buns did not have sesame seeds, which I learned for the first time. The 2x French fries promotion left me feeling slightly overwhelmed by the amount of fries, but I managed to finish them all. On a weekday in March after 4 pm, I visited Kua 'Aina to satisfy my craving for their French fries. The crispy and unique texture of the fries is something I enjoy. The store was empty during the evening hours. I ordered a small French fry for 320 yen and a small iced oolong tea for 300 yen.

Chili cheese thick-cut cheddar burger lunch set for 1700 yen, discounted to 1000 yen with the app coupon, and an additional 30% cashback with PayPay, making it actually 1120 yen. The chili tasted rich, almost like it was made with miso. The portion size was generous. The only improvement would be on the lettuce. Overall, no complaints.

My lunch today was a hamburger, so I went to this restaurant. It has been around for a long time, but it looks surprisingly clean and well-maintained. The staff's customer service is excellent, much better than some izakayas where the average customer spending exceeds 3000 yen. There were a few customers with babies, and the staff were very considerate, making sure to provide extra space for their strollers and explaining the menu to those looking at it outside. I left the ordering to the staff, so I'm not sure of the exact menu names, but I ordered what is shown in the photos. The presentation was kind of like a surprise, with a feeling of a "Bikkuri Donkey" vibe. I was also happy to see that they served the burger in a wrap, which made it very easy to eat. The taste was great, with a nice smoky bacon flavor and a meaty texture, although it was more of a traditional patty rather than a gourmet burger. Overall, it was very delicious. The fries were also incredibly tasty. It's not a place I visit often due to its location, but the food was really good.

It's been a while since I visited. I always have a hard time deciding on the menu, but this time I went with the popular Cheddar and Avocado Burger! It uses half an avocado, so it's quite filling! Assembling it into a burger shape is a bit tricky because of the filling inside (lol). The taste is really amazing, I was super satisfied after just one bite! Also, I love the crispy texture of their potatoes and onion rings (*´﹀`*). It's great that Kuaiina has shops all over the country. I'll definitely come back again!

On weekends, there are not many open shops in the Gotanda area. I went to a Hawaiian burger restaurant. I ordered a burger with mozzarella and avocado. It takes a little time to be ready, but it is delicious when freshly made! It's a bit pricey, but the portion size is generous.

Kua 'Aina... I have visited the Kamakura store in my neighborhood several times, but tonight is my first visit to the Gotanda store near my office. I was planning to get a takeout, but since the store was empty, I decided to have a quick dinner inside and then head back to the office... Order!
- BBQ Kalbi Jack Cheeseburger Dinner Set 1,620 yen
- Bacon Topping 260 yen
The dinner set includes French fries & onion rings and a drink for an additional 330 yen. Lunch set includes French fries & a drink for an additional 220 yen. (It does not include onion rings.)
On this humid evening with a mix of rain, I enjoyed the cool Hawaiian music playing in the empty store, creating a tropical atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of Gotanda. A brief moment of relaxation. Sitting at a table for two by the window, I waited for my order to arrive. Looking out the window, I noticed the abundance of yakiniku and steak restaurants in this area, with 5-6 crowded in a small area. And to my surprise, the "Shichifuku Ma-La-Tang Gotanda Store" that I've been wanting to visit is right across the street! I must visit there next time.
After about 10 minutes, my order arrived. The burger looked delicious with its beautiful and meticulous presentation. The marbled pattern of the Kalbi Jack cheese, a mix of orange and white, melted beautifully. The additional bacon topping had a nice soft texture with a crispy surface. The juicy thick patty burger with BBQ sauce was delicious. I also love the thin and distinctive French fries and the crispy onion rings. As usual, I ate quickly... A quick dinner break, and my energy is recharged! Now, back to the office for one more task... It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

It's a Hawaiian restaurant located a short walk from Gotanda Station. You order first and then pay. The portions were so big that I didn't know the correct way to eat it. It was extremely difficult to eat, but it was delicious!

Kua Aina Gotanda branch is a hamburger shop that has a global presence in locations such as Hawaii, England, and Taiwan. Originating from Hawaii, Kua Aina means "country folk" in Hawaiian! This time I ordered the "Thick Cut Cheddar Bacon Burger" and it was delicious. The meat was juicy and thick, and the cheese was wonderfully melty. It's a gourmet burger but relatively easy to eat, similar to McDonald's Big Mac. With nearly 30 locations in Japan, including Yokohama, Aoyama, and Shinjuku, be sure to give it a try! ✨

I went to Gotanda and felt like having something sweet, so I walked around and found that Kuaina Gotanda was not crowded, so I went in. When you think of Kuaina, you usually think of hamburgers or sandwiches, but they also have pancakes. I ordered at the counter, received my drink and a number tag, and sat at a table. After about 20 minutes of waiting, the Pancake Brulee was brought to me. It was so sweet, the sauce soaked in, incredibly sweet... I didn't expect it to be this sweet. It felt like I had eaten sweet treats two or three times. Next time, I wonder if I should try the hamburger or sandwich? Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at 11:50 and managed to grab a seat in the crowded restaurant. It seems to be run by a Thai couple. I ordered the Green Curry Noodle & Drink Set for 1100 yen, the Tom Yum Fried Rice Noodle & Drink Set for 1100 yen, the Chicken Rice & Drink Set for 1100 yen, and the Tari Pappan Curry for 840 yen from the lunch menu. The dishes were served promptly within 5 minutes. The taste was as expected, the portions were huge, and I left feeling full. It's a kind and fair restaurant, and I had a pleasant experience.

The atmosphere, interior, and background music all make you feel like you're in Hawaii. Especially during the current pandemic, it makes you miss it even more. The thick and juicy patty, the thick cheddar cheese, fresh tomato, and avocado all make for a satisfying meal. It may be a bit pricey, but I want to eat it every week. In addition to Asahi draft beer, they also have 5 types of Kona beer, as well as a selection of wines. I usually come for lunch, but it might be nice to come in the evening to enjoy a burger with a drink.

I went to "Kua Aina Gotanda Store" with Hawaiian-style decor and large burgers. The prices were a bit high, so I planned to just get a regular burger. But when I got to the cashier, I found myself interested in adding other toppings like avocado and cheddar cheese. In the end, I ended up getting a set with a drink and fries, costing about 1600 yen. The cost-performance ratio was a bit questionable, but the food was delicious and filling, so it was worth it. Thank you for the meal.

On Friday afternoon, I felt a longing for agricultural tools, saying "I wish I had a hoe!" So, I visited the restaurant "Kua Aina" for lunch. I ordered the Cheeseburger L Set for 1240 yen. The stylish interior of the restaurant made the dining experience enjoyable. After paying, I waited at my table for the burger to arrive. The Cheeseburger L Set had a great presentation with a thick and juicy hamburger patty. The burger consisted of hamburger, cheese, onions, lettuce, and tomato, creating a well-balanced and delicious taste. The fries were thin and long. Overall, the burger was delicious, but a bit difficult to eat due to its size. It was a nice change of pace to enjoy a trendy hamburger. Thank you for the meal!

Visited for lunch today. They had gourmet burgers, which I've never tried before. I was unsure if it was okay for someone like me to go in, but the place was empty so I decided to go in! I was a bit confused about what to order, so I asked the staff for their recommendation. They suggested an avocado burger, which I didn't really understand, but I ordered it as a set. The lunch was a bit pricey, but I saw it as a special treat. I waited for about 10 minutes after ordering, but I didn't mind because it was a gourmet burger. When the food arrived, I was surprised by the size of the burger. I wasn't sure how to eat it at first, but I figured out that I should stack the two burger patties and eat it like a sandwich. It was huge, but delicious! The meat was juicy and thick, and there was a lot of avocado. It took me about 15 minutes to finish the meal, and I was quite full by the end. The older customers also seemed to enjoy the food without hesitation. The staff were all friendly and helpful. If you're unsure about something, don't hesitate to ask. It was a delicious meal, thank you!
